Battle of Tours Rages On

History is interesting because it isn’t over yet. At the Battle of Tours, a.k.a. the Battle of Poitiers, Charles Martel prevented Islam from doing to Europe what it did to Syria. This took place 1,292 years ago. Yet the outcome of the battle is still contested:

Three young adults suspected of plotting a jihadist attack on various targets, in particular the town hall of Poitiers, were arrested on Wednesday by police officers from the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) in several departments, including Loire-Atlantique and Gard.

Explosives were involved.

According to their texts, this target was envisaged because of the symbolism of the Battle of Poitiers, in which Charles Martel’s troops were victorious against the Arab-Berber forces in 732. The three young men had also spoken of attacking the [General Directorate of Internal Security] headquarters or going to Syria.

Syria would be a great place for them, now that the Biden Regime has boastfully helped HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, formerly of ISIS, to power.

Their affiliation to a jihadist group is unclear, as the suspects mention both the Islamic State and HTS, the extremist Syrian rebel group once allied with Al-Qaeda.

It seemed al Qaeda and ISIS were behind us. But when it comes to history, objects in the rearview mirror are closer than they appear.

Profiles in Hypocrisy: Barack Obama

Due to their reflexive tendency to accuse their opponents of whatever they have been doing or plan to do, Democrats are well known for hypocrisy. Even among them, Barack Obama stands out:

During his Thursday pluralism-themed address at the Obama Foundation’s Democracy Forum in Chicago, the former president argued that Democrats need to reject “holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya’” when “one side tries to stack the deck and lock in a permanent grip on power.”

A sermon on pluralism from the guy who sent race relations into an ongoing tailspin would be bad enough. Accusing Republicans of stacking decks comes off like a bad joke.

Yelps the moonbat Urkel:

“There are going to be times, potentially, when one side tries to stack the deck and lock in a permanent grip on power, either by actively suppressing votes, or politicizing the armed forces, or using the judiciary or criminal justice system to go after their opponents.”

Being the party of the establishment, only Democrats have been in a position to stack the deck. A prime example would be social media giants, the MSM, and the Deep State suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell, which would have cost Biden the 2020 election. Rather than suppress votes, Democrats nullify them with invalid or fabricated votes. They have openly politicized the armed forces to the point that promoting sexual perversion takes priority over combat effectiveness. Ask Donald Trump, who was found guilty of 34 felony counts of nothing in particular, about using the judiciary to go after opponents.

Obama denounced the wicked who would…

“…use the power of the state to target critics and journalists and political rivals and to even resort to violence.”

He said this after wiretapping Fox News reporter James Rosen and after his fellow moonbats tried twice to assassinate Trump.

Obama’s legacy is the trainwreck Biden presidency. Biden’s legacy is Trump’s second administration, which promises to cure us of the disease Obama personifies.

Way past his expiration date.

Anticop Moonbat Robbed Blind, Whines

Bwahahahaha! Sorry, let me compose myself. Anticop moonbat Darcie Bell… bwahahahaha! No, it’s too funny. I’ll let the New York Post start the story:

When thieves made off with Darcie Bell’s rented U-Haul truck, the San Francisco woman put out a call for help on X: “If you see a 26 foot uhaul truck with the Arizona plate AL50003- would you let me know because it had like everything I own on it.”

Sad — if it had happened to anyone else. But Bell has spent years spewing Defund the Police moonbattery.

Even now she denounces the cops:

Mere hours after she filed a police report, she blasted the police for not immediately locating her stolen possessions.

They may have been able to find more urgent priorities.

She has been taking her revenge by defiantly reposting demands that the police be defunded so that San Franfreakshow can continue its slide into anarchy. Nothing will cure some moonbats of moonbattery — not even confrontation with the inevitable consequences of their ideology.

Eradicating Germany

Leftist social engineers have succeeded in reducing the core population of the USA to a minority in many American cities, transforming many of them into uninhabitable dystopian hellscapes. Let’s see if they can do it to a whole country in the middle of Europe:

The rapid demographic transformation taking place in Germany is perhaps best exemplified by Hamburg, both due to the city’s size and the radical pace of mass immigration there. Now, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) group leader in the Hamburg Parliament, Dirk Nockemann, warns that the city shows Germans are becoming a minority in the nation.

You can see why Germany’s moonbat establishment — including even churches — has been trying to abolish AfD. At a certain point, the survival instinct will kick in, unless the German people are kept in the dark until it is too late.

In the Billbrook quarter of Hamburg, 98.2% of the population under age 18 has “a migration background” — i.e., are not Germans and overwhelmingly not even Europeans.

Nockemann… said that a strong welfare state, as seen in Germany, does not work with open borders.

On the contrary, it works great — provided the objective is cultural genocide. This is especially true when the moochers who flood in reproduce at a higher rate than the native population.

Only 3 years after demographic displacer Angela Merkel left office, 26% of the German population as a whole has “a migration background.” This is reflected by skyrocketing crime:

The data shows that these foreigners have dramatically higher crime rates, sometimes reaching over 40 percent for certain serious crimes such as sexual assault and murder, despite being only 15 percent of the population. However, when it comes to counting those with a migration background as well as foreigners, this figure can go as high as 75 percent, as data for gang rapes in states like North Rhine Westphalia show.

Germans won’t have to worry about crime for long, or about how to finance the welfare state. They won’t have to worry about anything, because they won’t exist.

Pharmacy Deserts Caused by Moonbattery

Moonbats often bleat about health disparities, implying that emphasis should be placed not on making everyone healthy but on making sure that whites are not healthier than nonwhites. A cause of these racist disparities has been identified:

Nearly 30 percent of US pharmacies closed between 2010 and 2021, according to a new study in the health-policy publication Health Affairs.

The research — out of University of California, Berkeley — reflects the expected Cultural Marxist perspective:

Of the 88,930 retail pharmacies operating in 2010, almost one-third shuttered by 2021, with those in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods disproportionately affected. …

Without intervention, the closures threaten to exacerbate health disparities…

For a clue as to why so many pharmacies are closing and why they are more likely to close in Neighborhoods of Color, head to Rite Aid and observe the toothpaste and deodorant kept under lock and key so that they aren’t stolen. Consider that liberals have effectively legalized shoplifting in Democrat-dominated parts of the country, including California, New York, and elsewhere, resulting in scenes like this:

It is hardly surprising that the epidemic of shoplifting has forced pharmacies to close.

Too bad the Berkeley eggheads won’t do a follow-up study showing how it is moonbattery and the societal decay it produces, not white supremacism, that cause “pharmacy deserts.”
