Covid tyranny requires new political proprieties. One of them is the mask theater entrance. When a politician who advocates coercive Covid hysteria makes a public appearance, they first put on a Covid muzzle, then step out in front of the cameras, then theatrically remove the muzzle.

Evidently intended to dupe the gullible into thinking our rulers wear masks behind the scenes, this new tradition instead underscores the phoniness of Democrats’ posturing and the hypocrisy of their DAISNAID dictates.

Does anyone believe she was wearing the muzzle for more than a few seconds before stepping out of a limousine? Maybe Covid is only spread while you walk alone for short distances between groups of people.

Looks like our Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has finally taken a break from canoodling with his husband to attend to the job we pay him for. After months on end of paternity leave (or was it maternity leave?), Buttigieg appeared on Chris Wallace’s show to tell us when the supply chain crisis that is emptying store shelves will end.

Considering that those who have chosen not to get vaccinated are the Regime’s go-to scapegoat, this won’t come as a surprise. Quoth Buttigieg:

“At the risk of repeating myself, if we really want to see all of these disruptions end, we’ve got to end the pandemic; that’s what getting everybody vaccinated is all about.”

If the Regime is able to force every man, woman, and child to get the jab regardless of whether it makes any sense or even is safe for them, Buttigieg will announce that the supply chain crisis will be resolved as soon as we stop being racist.

Back in reality, it is Big Government, not Covid, that has caused the supply chain crisis. The best thing Buttigieg could do to resolve it would be to go on maternity leave permanently and take every other Democrat bureaucrat in country with him.

Considering the misery, havoc, and tyranny it has resulted in — not to mention 5 million deaths — you would think people would want confirmation that Covid was designed in a ChiCom laboratory with the help of funding from US taxpayers. But the liberal establishment, conspicuously including the media, has been uninterested in pursuing this. Neil Bush explains why: because it doesn’t matter where the virus came from.

Bush is the son of one US president and the brother of another. He is also founder and Chairman of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, which recently cohosted an online forum the Center for China and Globalization (CCG).

The CCG is a key group within the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front Work Department (UFWD), a systematic foreign influence operation seeking “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party” and influence Westerners to “take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing’s preferred policies,” according to the U.S. government.

To quote Neil Bush:

“Whether [Covid] originated in a lab or from a bat or from the United States or from wherever – who cares?”

Or as Shrillary might shriek, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Despite his willful ignorance regarding the origins of the ChiCom virus, Bush is blithely confident that it was not released on purpose, which he dismisses as “a crazy notion.” But given the devastating effect Covid has had in the West due to exploitative overreaction by authoritarians, the virus has worked out well for the ambitious Xi Jinping. Even if they didn’t release Covid deliberately, that may not be the case with the next virus they design. That’s why it is important to confirm that Covid is manmade, and to stop Tony Fauci et al. from funding research by our enemies that is applicable to biological warfare.

Neil Bush demonstrates that even if a fish rots from the head, our problem goes far deeper than Joe Biden or even his corrupt party. It has seeped throughout our ruling class, and will require serious measures to eradicate.

Pity any child growing up under liberal parents during the age Covid hysteria. A moonbat gave an idea of what it’s like by writing to a Slate advice column, wondering how she could ever trust her 11-year-old daughter again after the girl sat on the same couch as her friend, neither wearing a Covid muzzle, the two even putting their hands into the same bowl of chips.

That is all the girl did, after a year and a half of submissively obeying senseless mandates like only talking to her friends from opposite ends of the driveway or patio while wearing masks. The hysterical response:

I immediately told her friend that she had to go home and to please inform her mother to call me at her earliest convenience. I then expressed my disappointment with my daughter and informed her how dangerous what she did was.

That is, the Covid Karen subjected the poor girl to a barrage of shrill lies. In reality, the ChiCom virus poses no significant risk to 11-year-olds. It is less of a danger to them than everyday influenza.

We took all the necessary steps to remain safe. She immediately quarantined in her bedroom for the suggested two weeks. I cleaned the house thoroughly and opened multiple windows to circulate the air. Luckily, we all came out of this debacle safely.

I still don’t feel I can trust her, though.… She put her life at risk. How do we start building the trust back?

A better question is how the girl will ever trust her parents not to be neurotic tyrants.

The moonbats at Slate mercifully suggest that the parents go easy on her, other than “thinking twice before leaving her unsupervised again anytime soon.”

At least there is a silver lining. Any child who survives this kind of upbringing with an unbroken soul will be a pro-liberty countermoonbat for life.
