Nigerian Genocide: Climate Change or Islam?

Just when you thought the global warming crisis was petering out due to lack of interest, we learn that it is causing the ongoing genocide in Nigeria. From the United Nations:

Over the past decade, conflict between communities has claimed countless lives in Nigeria’s lush Middle Belt region and displaced an estimated half a million people in Benue State alone. Similar clashes are playing out across the Sahel region as climate change disrupts traditional livelihoods and intensifies competition for dwindling supplies of water and productive land.

A report released [last year] by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in collaboration with research partners, examines the intersection between climate change, conflict and forced displacement. It warns that more frequent extreme weather can aggravate tensions and weaken social cohesion, intensifying the root causes of conflict and instability.

Let’s see if Nigerian Christians agree that it is the weather that has been killing them off in alarming numbers, or if they might suspect a different cause — namely Islam:

Justice G Danjuma, an evangelist for the Remnant Christian Network in Nigeria’s Taraba State, … said the attacks in his region are “overwhelmingly driven by religious animosity.” He added that the majority of Nigerian Christians “reject the climate change narrative pushed by Western media,” and many regard this narrative as “deeply offensive and misleading.”

Survivors of attacks struggle to understand how climate change would cause people to “burn churches, kill pastors, and massacre worshipers during Christmas or Palm Sunday services,” said Danjuma.

Climate change may also cause the government to impose strict gun control on Christians while allowing Muslims to brandish AK-47s. Global warming has a similar effect in US cities like New York, where law-abiding prisoners are prevented from defending themselves while armed hooligans terrorize them with the tacit consent of liberal authorities, free from the inconvenience of stop and frisk.

Those suffering from climate anxiety can rest assured that the weather will knock off with the bloodshed in Nigeria as soon as all Christians have been eradicated.

Services Decline Under Woke Taxachusetts Mayor

Moonbat rule means ever more taxation and moonbattery and ever less of the services that would make government worth paying for. Consider Medford, Massachusetts under Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn:

Lungo-Koehn is racking up do-gooder awards for her environmental crusading, but some elected officials and residents of the Boston suburb are less impressed with her latest effort that will soon see trash pickup reduced to once every two weeks.

The city already has a rat problem, which can be expected to get worse.

The new plan, which will see residents’ 64-gallon trash bins collected half as frequently, was announced in tandem with the news that Medford had received a $200,000 “Pay As You Throw” grant from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

This was presented as a big win for environment. Barks the hyphenated mayor:

“It’s the right move for our residents and businesses, it’s the right move for the environment, and it’s the right move for our City’s future.”

The right move for the city’s residents would be out of Taxachusetts and off to a red state, where garbage gets picked up and taxes don’t cost an arm and a leg. They are requested to please leave their liberal voting habits behind.

SNAFU at COP30 Climate Talks

Events have not proceeded smoothly at the COP30 climate talks in Brazil, where left-wing globalists are conspiring to collapse our standard of living in the name of their antihuman ideology. Even before a fire broke out at “a pavilion highlighting Africa,” which sent “panicked delegates racing to evacuate the makeshift convention center,” there were issues:

Rain from a torrential downpour leaked into the meeting spaces, dripping on delegates. There were complaints about food shortages, and the air-conditioning struggled to keep up with the high heat and humidity.

After authoritarian moonbats have perfected the weather through punitive taxation, repressive regulation, and international wealth redistribution, there won’t be droughts anymore, so they had better get used to more rain. Food shortages should not be a problem in the Brazilian jungle, where there are plenty of bugs for them to eat as they want us to do to make the climate happy. As for air-conditioning, it is offensive to the weather, so we are supposed to go without it.

Simon Stiell, the U.N. climate chief, called for tighter security after protesters forced their way into the venue. …

Stiell flagged security concerns, like unsecured doors, as well as safety concerns, like malfunctioning air-conditioning and rainwater seeping into lighting fixtures.

Looks like they temporarily had to go without electricity — just like they want us to do.

Let’s not put these bunglers in charge of micromanaging the world economy. The weather can carry on without them.

Government to Kill 500,000 Owls for Equity

Imagine if the federal government were to apply DEI principles to the animal world. It might look something like this:

A controversial plan to kill nearly a half-million barred owls to save spotted owls in the Pacific Northwest has the green light after the U.S. Senate rejected a resolution to stop it.

The supposed problem is that barred owls are more effective hunters than closely related spotted owls.

The Senate on Wednesday voted 72-25 to reject a bipartisan resolution, launched in July, which would have nullified the Biden-era owl-killing plan.

If they don’t mind chopping up countless eagles with coercively subsidized wind turbines, why would they shrink from killing a few hundred thousand owls?

As with all things Big Government, taxpayers are among the victims:

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services Barred Owl Management Strategy comes with a roughly $1 billion price tag, and would involve wildlife agents shooting barred owls.

Owl genocide is already underway:

To give the spotted owls better odds, feds have already killed roughly 4,500 barred owls along the West Coast since 2009.

Equity has still not been achieved, so the body count must rise.

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) explains the reasoning:

Now imagine the same DEI principles fully implemented against the human population. In the Final Solution to Inequity, Caucasians will take the place of barred owls.

California Public Employees’ Retirement System Flushes Fortune Down Green Energy

Green energy moonbattery is not the best investment:

The California Public Employees’ Retirement System for state employees lost 71% of its $468 million investment in a clean energy and technology private equity fund, state records show, but CalPERS won’t explain how.

Don’t worry, retirees; California taxpayers will pick up the tab.

CalPERS says its pension benefits are only 79% funded, leaving the state, and its taxpayers, on the hook for the other 21%. According to a recent report from Reason Foundation, CalPERS’ pension shortfall is approximately $180 billion.

The 71% loss comes to over $330 million…

…for which private equity firms were paid at least $22 million in fees and costs.

CalPERS has not been forthcoming regarding specifics of how it flushed away the money.

Had the money put into the [CalPERS Clean Energy & Technology Fund] been passively invested in an S&P 500 index fund, with dividends reinvested, the fund would have been worth approximately $3 billion.

But that would not have saved a planet imperiled by the alleged menace of anthropogenic global warming.

The Obama legacy endures in California, which continues his policy of wasting vast amounts of taxpayer money on green energy boondoggles, possibly to launder it on behalf of those with a seat at the table.

UN, Foiled on Shipping Tax, Plans for Next Pandemic

After costing $trillions, the global warming hoax is finally petering out. Even the moonbats at Meta are building three massive natural gas power plants to fuel their AI, because energy is necessary whereas green posturing is not. The United Nations, however, remains entrenched in outdated moonbattery, even trying to impose a global tax on shipping in the name of superannuated weather gods. Thankfully, Trump was in a position to put a stop to it:

The International Maritime Organization had been set to vote on Friday on adopting a global carbon tax aimed at pushing the shipping industry to stop using fossil fuels. But that vote did not happen after President Donald Trump on Thursday called for other countries to oppose the tax, saying that the United States would not “tolerate” or “adhere” to the measure.

He who pays the piper calls the tune. If Democrats regain power, they will turn the firehose of American money flooding into the United Nations back up to full blast as the UN reintroduces its shipping tax.

Another agency of the United Nations is the World Health Organization. Natalie Winters reports below on its new “AI pandemic tool” to track down online thoughtcrime so as to suppress it during Covid 2.0. As with Meta, the AI will not be primarily powered by silly wind turbines or solar panels, because our wannabe globalist overlords will expect it to work.

WHO’s Pathogenic Access and Benefits Sharing System guarantees that the next pandemic will be along soon. This global sharing initiative is intended to provide “safe, transparent, and accountable access to pathogens with pandemic potential” to all WHO member states — including Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, Venezuela, Russia, and of course the communist Chinese who brought us Covid.

The time has come to bulldoze the UN building into the East River before this malevolent organization causes more damage.

The Global Warming Hoax continues to crumble, revealing that taxpayers were not the only ones to get burned in its name:

Aspiration Partners made a splash when it entered the green investing space in 2013.

The Marina del Rey [California] firm billed itself as a socially conscious online banking company, offering investments and focusing its finances on the climate crisis. It also generated and sold carbon credits meant to help offset greenhouse gas emissions.

It raked in a reported $110 million in just a few years by capitalizing on liberal eagerness to signal green virtue.

Soon, it collected celebrity investors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Robert Downey Jr., and Steve Ballmer, the former Microsoft chief executive, philanthropist and owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. …

The firm even partnered with rapper Drake in 2021, using its reforestation program to offset the artist’s estimated climate impact.

Fools and their money are soon parted:

Earlier this year, the co-founder [Joseph Sanberg] and another top company official [Ibrahim Ameen AlHusseini] agreed to plead guilty to wire fraud charges and scheming to bilk investors using falsified documents. Aspiration went bankrupt.

Eventually, people wise up to the Great Green Scam. But the allegedly oppressed climate needn’t worry; as soon as Democrats regain power, they will impose the scam on a coercive basis, as under Obama and Biden.

Global Warming Hoax: The Musical

Whatever moonbats infiltrate, they subvert on behalf of their totalitarian ideology. Where they hold sway, musicals aren’t about music; they are about moonbattery:

The show hits the stage on Sunday at the Miami Beach Bandshell, with the aim of inspiring action through music and storytelling. …

It centers on a struggling farmer and her daughter, who is consumed by fears of climate change. The daughter finds peace in a beloved town-owned forest – that is, until a corporation threatens to buy and destroy it.

Corporations are mean to the climate. That’s why we need socialism. When we achieve it, the weather will be perfect all the time.

The author calls herself “V.” Some might remember her as Eve Ensler, author of The Vagina Monologues.

Feminism is passé, now that it has been subordinated to transsexualism. So Ensler jumped to climate hysteria. But that has been wearing thin too. To stay at the vanguard of liberalism, she ought to do a play extolling the virtues of Hamas or promoting the assassination of conservatives.
