Penn has been spewing “jail the unvaccinated” rhetoric for some time now. The difference is that by this point we all know the vaccines are largely ineffective and probably no longer necessary anyway. Dangers of the jab continue to come to light. From the beginning, we have known that they are a bad idea for young people, combining unknown long-term risk with minimal benefit.

The good thing about Penn? As with his sucking up to the socialist dictator who destroyed Venezuela, he provides a valuable warning that beneath the sanctimonious, nicey-nice façade of our leftist ruling class lies mindless authoritarianism.

According to tolerant, open-minded liberals, those who question the safety, efficacy, and/or necessity of Covid vaccines are politically unclean, and therefore are to be ostracized and punished. They should even be made to pay more for accident insurance:

A new study published this month in The American Journal of Medicine claimed those unvaccinated from the COVID-19 virus were more likely to get in traffic accidents… The study’s authors suggested insurance companies should make changes to policies of unvaccinated individuals.

Again we see that the medical establishment, like the journalism profession, has allowed itself to be subordinated to moonbattery.

The principal investigator for the study, Dr. Donald Redelmeier at the Sunnybrook Research Institute, claimed his research “demonstrated traffic risks were 50%-70% more frequent for adults who had not been vaccinated compared to those who had.”

It isn’t that not being vaxxed makes you crash your car. It’s that it makes you the kind of person who would.

“This does not mean COVID-19 vaccination directly prevents traffic crashes. Instead, it suggests that adults who do not follow public health advice may also neglect the rules of the road,” he concluded.

Never mind the unknown long-term effects of the vaccines. The unvaxxed are reckless and do not do as they are told like good liberals.

[British diagnostic pathologist Dr Clare Craig] argued that the study’s data could be used to make any sort of claims about the unvaccinated, from having a higher rate of “giving to charity” to “recycling,” simply because the “denominator [was] artificially small.”

The study’s authors search for explanations for their findings:

One possibility relates to a distrust of government or belief in freedom that contributes to both vaccination preferences and increased traffic risks. A different explanation might be misconceptions of everyday risks, faith in natural protection, antipathy toward regulation, chronic poverty, exposure to misinformation, insufficient resources, or other personal beliefs

Distrust of inept technocratic overlords, love of freedom, religious beliefs, resistance to oppressive regulations, and exposure to unapproved sources of misinformation are what the authors really link to unvaxxed status — and what they want to punish.

Moronic studies intended to prop up leftist ideology are largely financed with your tax dollar. Nearly as bad as the waste of public funds is that they displace useful scientific research.

Clashes between activists and police have already taken place in Shanghai – which suffered through a months-long Covid lockdown earlier this year – with BBC cameraman Edward Lawrence arrested and beaten by officers in the city.

The BBC exists mainly to advance the cause of leftist Big Government. Poetic justice can be harsh.

Some are calling for Dictator for Life Xi Jinping to resign and even for the CCP to relinquish power. Anger is spreading to other grievances, including calls for free expression.

Experts say Xi cannot back down from his insane zero-Covid policy, nor can he allow the protests to challenge his rule, the legitimacy of which is based solely on brute force and fear. That means another Tiananmen Square is coming.
