Mamdani Slightly Cools Kill the Jews Rhetoric

Great news for Jews. The frontrunner for next mayor of New York has backed off slightly from calling for them to be killed:

Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, told a group of influential business leaders on Tuesday that he would refrain from using the phrase “globalize the intifada” and would discourage its use by others, addressing concerns about the term’s perceived association with violence against Jews.

Mamdani has been forced to change policy. Up until now he has refused to disavow the maleficent slogan.

Mamdani, a democratic socialist [i.e., communist] assemblyman from Queens and a vocal critic of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, acknowledged that while some use the phrase to express solidarity with Palestinians, many New Yorkers interpret it as a call to violence against Israel.

It isn’t one or the other. To bark “Globalize the Intifada” is to express solidarity with Palestinians in their goal of achieving “From the River to the Sea” — i.e., the eradication of all Jews from their ancient homeland.

Mamdani, who would become New York’s first Muslim mayor if elected, has frequently expressed sympathy for Palestinians and shared emotional accounts of facing Islamophobic rhetoric…

Mamdani’s fellow Muslims killed thousands in New York on 9/11. Now New Yorkers are invited to weep for this sniveling victim of “Islamophobic rhetoric.”

Cuomo Blew Over $100 Million on Unused Lights

Whoever the last sane New Yorkers rally around to try to stop the Islamocommie Mamdani, please let it not be Andrew Cuomo. This story gives an idea of how he spends money:

At least $108 million was spent on Cuomo’s “Harbor of Lights” project, which was supposed to install specialty LED lighting on several New York State bridges. The project was pitched as a way to boost tourism, but the lights ended up sitting unused in a warehouse for more than seven years until they were recently auctioned off for less than half a percent of the project’s overall cost.

It could have been worse. The original plan was to blow $250 million.

Ultimately, after years of collecting dust in storage, the lights were auctioned off in late June for just $383,000, or 0.35% of the project price tag, according to WRGB. Among the bidders was Zohran Mamdani — who recently defeated Cuomo in the Democratic New York City mayoral primary — and reportedly offered around $50 for the lights, Politico reported.

Mamdani will keep laughing if the unelectably awful Cuomo — best known for killing thousands of senior citizens and lying to Congress about it, sexual harassment allegations, and of course staggering waste — cannot be prevented from splitting the opposition vote.

Shoplifting Skyrockets in NYC as Thieves Go Free

As we learned during the deification of George Floyd, progressives worship petty criminal scumbags. This makes Democrat strongholds like New York utopias for thieves like Anthony White, who has been arrested 254 times.

The liberals in charge just keep letting him go, despite his relentless shoplifting. They may as well declare shoplifting to be legal — as they already effectively have in California.

The New York Post reports:

[T]he crime has surged 89% to more than 27,705 incidents this year from 14,286 in 2020, police data show.

White has plenty of colleagues — like Davaughn Gethers, who has been arrested 235 times, mostly for shoplifting:

His most recent arrest was on May 27 for thieving in Midtown. He was released the same day without bail.

He’s also been arrested for resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer and weapons possession, the sources said.

A police source who knows Gethers said the thief is nonchalant when he’s nabbed.

“He just says, ‘I don’t care,” the source said. “‘They’re just going to let me go.’”

Democrats represent White and Gethers, not the businesses they victimize. According to liberal ideology, those who earn a living are oppressors. Those who prey on them are sacred victims.

Zohran Mamdani Salutes Christopher Columbus

It used to be that immigrants did not come to America to sponge, mooch, and loot — largely illegally — but to take advantage of American opportunity and to contribute. A case in point is Italians. The mark they made on New York is especially appreciated.

Italians are rightly proud of Christopher Columbus, one of history’s greatest heroes. He has been revered for centuries for spreading civilization to the formerly savage Western Hemisphere. But being a leftist, New York’s likely next mayor hates him for this:

Italian Americans were outraged at mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani Monday after a social media post resurfaced showing him flipping the bird at a statue of Christopher Columbus and calling for its removal.

The socialist Mamdani is seen in the tweet from June 2020 giving the middle finger to the back of the towering figure in Astoria, which is part of his state Assembly district.

When Zohran Mamdani barks “Take it down,” he doesn’t mean just the statue. He means what the statue represents.

Illegal Aliens Get Driver’s Licenses Without Road Tests

The skids are greased for the illegal aliens imported to displace us. In the liberal stronghold New York City, illegal aliens have been obtaining driver’s licenses — without even knowing how to drive:

T&E Driving School in Queens took cash from Chinese immigrants — many of whom didn’t even speak English — and paid off a crew of Department of Motor Vehicles employees on Staten Island to illegally obtain driver’s licenses, District Attorney Michael McMahon said at a press conference.

According to George Ioannidis, assistant special agent in charge for Homeland Security Investigations in New York,

“As alleged T&E utilized social media and strategic advertising to Target exploited members of the Chinese community and guaranteed individual driver’s licenses regardless of their immigration status, language, and even their ability to operate a vehicle.”

No one knows how many illegal aliens were given driver’s licenses without even taking a road test:

“The number of tests given by an individual examiner can be about 1,500 a year,” [Ioannidis] said. “Two out of the three examiners have been working for four or five years, so we think this is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Good thing Kristi Noem’s DHS was involved in the investigation. Local NY authorities might let something like this slide.

Illegal aliens need driver’s licenses for activities like voting and buying liquor. They don’t need them for driving, to judge by how many drive without them:

CUNY Stages Phony Hunger Strike on Behalf of Evil

The moonbattery predominating on college campuses is the ideology of an evil child, both infantile and malevolent. A case in point is the City University of New York, where students and staff have been throwing a tantrum on behalf of Hamas:

The hunger strike began on May 27, with demonstrators gathering daily outside CUNY’s Graduate Center in Manhattan from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. to voice their demands, Left Voice reports.

Great. By now they should have starved to death. Except that moonbats count cutting down on afternoon snacks as a hunger strike.

According to Left Voice, CUNY students and faculty assembled to demand that “Chancellor Félix Matos Rodríguez and the CUNY Board of Trustees immediately divest from the zionist state and from all weapons and technology manufacturers equipping the Israeli-US genocide in Palestine.”

“Genocide in Palestine” is Liberalese for “self-defense against Islamic terrorists following the 10/7 atrocities.”

In case it wasn’t already clear that these are communists committed to the eradication of Western Civilization:

In addition to the hunger strike, organizers programmed various events including poetry readings and teach-ins, reading titles like “Eco-Apartheid as a Tool of Zionist Settler Colonialism” and “Recalling Marxist Internationalism.”

Per liberal ideology, “colonialism” is the crime by which Israel — and the USA — are allowed to exist.

Even if leftist faculty members are flat out evil, surely the young fools comprising the student body mean well, right? Wrong:

Protesters were holding letter-writing events in solidarity with individuals they describe as political prisoners, such as the George Floyd rioters and Kojo Bomani Sababu.

By now, no one not stranded on a desert island has an excuse not to know that George Floyd was a victim of his own overindulgence in illegal drugs, not racism. Yet still they support the Black Lives Matter riots. As for Kojo Bomani Sababu:

Sababu was arrested for bank robbery, murder, and actions he took with the Black Liberation Army—a Marxist militant organization that fights for the “armed struggle” and the “self-determination” of black people through violent actions like robberies and bombings.

That’s what it takes to be a hero to progressives.
