Migrants Make Up 75% of Midtown Manhattan Arrests

Liberal policies are resulting in the collapse of law and order in New York City:

Police sources shared with The Post a staggering estimate that as many as 75% of the people they’ve been arresting in Midtown Manhattan in recent months for crimes like assault, robbery and domestic violence are migrants.

Most of the migrants are probably here illegally, but with the government on their side, it is hard to be sure:

The problem is made much worse by sanctuary city laws that mean New York cops aren’t allowed to work with ICE on cases in which they believe suspects are in the country illegally. Additionally, the NYPD says it is barred from tracking the immigration status of offenders.

Immigration policy isn’t the only way moonbattery is making the Big Apple into hell on earth:

Making matters worse, police sources say, word has gotten out in the shelters about the city’s lax bail guidelines — meaning migrants know they’re going to get kicked back onto the street quickly after they’re nabbed.

This turns the invasion into a looting spree.

Another Manhattan cop said that excluding petty larcenies at drugstores, the number of local arrests involving migrants is “easily” 75%, noting that most who get caught shoplifting go more for the pricey branded goods.

Migrants also contribute to the local quality of life by doing most of the pickpocketing and phone snatching. If only that were the worst of it:

While many of the crimes are domestic incidents or petty thefts, others are far more heinous, sometimes involving gang violence or vicious sexual assaults.

For example,

Venezuelan migrant Yurlex Daniel Guzman Quintero was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Aug. 28, accused of a deplorable act of sexual abuse against his girlfriend in which he viciously choked her and held a knife to her head. Court documents allege it all happened in front of her child.

The same day, migrant Dionisio Moran Flores was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court for allegedly raping his 5-year-old daughter.

Fined for Reporting Rats in NYC

The moonbats running New York have figured out how to solve the city’s rat infestation. It is the same solution their comrades in Sacramento applied to California’s shoplifting epidemic. They fine people for reporting the problem:

Esther D’Alia, 91, has lived in her house in Maspeth [Queens] for over 65 years.

After noticing rats burrowing in her yard last summer, she called 311 to report them.

The response from municipal bureaucrats was two $300 summonses.

This came on top of what she had already paid exterminators in an attempt to solve a problem evidently caused by the roots of city trees creating holes in concrete.

She wants her $600 back from the city. Maybe should have taken the Eric Adams approach to being fined over rats — refuse to pay.

What NYC needs now is a public awareness campaign encouraging people to report rats every time they see them. Fining all of them could raise enough money to finance the lavish benefits the sanctuary city provides to illegal aliens.

Another Appalling Example of New York City Justice

As the heroic Daniel Penny found out the hard way, if you defend yourself or others from aggressive scumbags in a city run by moonbats, you will be the one who is punished. Landlord Brian Chin just learned the same lesson:

Chin, 32, of Manhattan, was arraigned on second and third-degree assault charges in Manhattan Criminal Court, after being accused of beating a homeless man.

Bums Homeless people are always in the right. Ask any leftist.

Surveillance footage from outside of Chin’s apartment building on Chrystie Street in the Lower East Side shows the landlord trying to help the man, who is believed to have been under the influence, outside of the Grand Street subway station.

No good deed goes unpunished in the moonbat dystopia NYC:

The man woke up, went ballistic and attacked him with a piece of plywood that had nails in it. Chin eventually saw a moment to charge at the man, grabbing the wood with both hands and tugging it out of his grasp.

It took marginalized and demoralized cops more than an hour to appear.

[W]hen police eventually showed up, [Chin] was arrested and whisked off to jail.

Now, he says he’s been driven out of his Harvard fellowship program.

There are already too many Asians in higher education, right liberal educrats? Like Jews, they are white adjacent.

Recently, Chin’s tenant Christina Yuna Lee was stabbed over 40 times by the neurodivergent Assamad Nash, who followed her into the building. At least she won’t be thrown in a cage for oppressing her politically favored assailant, since she’s dead.

Polar Bear Hunt Caught on Video

Here’s what it’s like out there, regardless of whether the establishment media will acknowledge it:

At least the New York Post reported the incident:

The man was walking near the intersection of Howard Avenue and Clove Road in the Sunnyside neighborhood just after 7 p.m. July 15 when the group of delinquents began to harass him. …

One of the delinquents rushed up behind the man, who jumped into the middle of a busy street to avoid the bunch as the rest of the group chased him across the road.

Had a car been coming, this might have resulted in his death.

The man said the laughing group didn’t try to rob him or make any remarks.

No need to rob him. Polar bear hunting is its own reward. Not that the attack didn’t cost him money:

The man was brought to Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton, where he incurred approximately $5,000 in medical expenses for his injuries…

Predictably, the article makes no mention of race, which was the probable motive. But at least accompanying pictures let people see for themselves where things are heading under a ruling class that governs by the precepts of Critical Race Theory.

Meanwhile, multibillionaire Oprah Winfrey theatrically whimpers that she is oppressed because of her race.

NYC Thugs Let Free After Beating 82-Year-Old Woman

Our Democrat rulers are for all intents and purposes at war with us — not just in a metaphysical sense; the violence is quite real. Look what they have inflicted in places where they have consolidated total control like New York:

Two brutes accused of randomly pummeling an 82-year-old woman on a Bronx street have been released without bail — even though the violent pair has a combined 18 prior arrests…

William Ballinger and Tammie Moore — both of whom have lengthy rap sheets — were busted by cops last week and charged with second-and third-degree assault for the vicious Aug. 2 attack on the elderly home health aide in Olinville, police said.

The police needn’t have bothered making the arrest. The liberals in charge let the criminals go free.

They must want us to live in terror.

Invasion Cost Tops $5 Billion in NYC Alone

Evidence accrues that the massive importation of illegal aliens under Biden/Harris is not only a matter of replacing American voters with government dependents who will more reliably vote for Democrats. As noted here and here, the Cloward-Piven strategy of ushering in straightforward communism by collapsing the economy through grotesquely excessive government spending comes into play. Consider the sanctuary city New York:

New York City has likely surpassed $5 billion in spending on services for migrants — including nearly $2 billion alone on housing the scores of new arrivals flooding into the Big Apple, according to city data.

The eye-popping figures, listed on the city’s online asylum-seeker funding tracker, shows the city overall spent $4.88 billion combined through fiscal years 2023 and ‘24.

Unless Democrats are pried from power and the border closed, soon the situation will be even worse — much worse:

Mayor Eric Adams’ administration has even projected the cost could double, hitting $10 billion over the three year period ending June 30, 2025.

A dying city that has been methodically driving out its tax base does not have that kind of money. The federal government will step in, printing as necessary, so that the free goodies for illegal aliens are financed with your savings through inflation.

Eric Adams Pinpoints Cause of Migrant Violence

The violence that characterizes the hordes of illegal aliens who have inundated the sanctuary city of New York is not the result of open borders, marginalized police, bail reform, or financial incentives for unlawfully invading our country. Moonbat Mayor Eric Adams pinpoints the actual cause — a lack of extracurricular activities:

No doubt sufficient federal funding for illegal alien basketball leagues would convert the criminal dregs of the Third World into upstanding citizens. To think otherwise would be racist and xenophobic.

Cop-Beating Migrant Arrested Yet Again

If the invaders flooding across the undefended border had any respect for our laws, they wouldn’t be in our country. So this should surprise no one:

A migrant who led a gang of asylum-seeking thugs in a savage, caught-on-camera beating of two NYPD officers in Times Square and then quickly made bail was just busted for serial theft, police sources say.

Yohenry Brito, 24, of Venezuela was arrested late Tuesday for a pair of thefts at Manhattan Sephora locations…

He was previously arrested and released over at least three other thefts — both before and after the shameful Times Square police beatdown.

Although news reports tend not to mention it, Brito is in our country illegally.

Catch and release. It works so well at the border, you can see why they apply the same policy in liberal jurisdictions like New York.

Profiles in Leftist Hypocrisy: Tiffany Cabán

We have another car-hating New York City pol for the Do As I Say Not As I Do files. Assemblymoonbat Emily Gallagher, meet Councilkook Tiffany Cabán:

Cabán was slapped with seven traffic tickets totaling $490 in fines and late fees since November 2022 — including four in the past 13 months for being caught on camera speeding in school zones, a review of city records shows.

The remaining summonses on the pol’s black Chevy Cruze include two for blocking fire hydrants, and another for parking in a “No Standing” zone.

She makes up for her sociopathic driving habits by trying to prevent others from driving cars:

While campaigning for Council in 2021, Cabán advocated converting at least 25% of all city roadways “into space for people” as part of her New York-version of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s stalled Green New Deal plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions nationwide.

Cabán, who represents Astoria and nearby neighborhoods, called on the city during the campaign to create “1,000-lane miles” of permanent car-free “Open Streets,” 500 miles of dedicated bus-only lanes and 500 miles of new bike lanes.

According to Cabán’s ideology, the climate does not approve of cars.

The soft-on-crime pol has a history of being a stickler of the law when it comes to cracking down on dangerous drivers.

She even proposed a Vehicular Crimes Unit within the office of the Queens District Attorney so as to punish scofflaw drivers like herself.

Gallagher isn’t her only company:

The Queens pol is latest in a long line of socialists and other lefty lawmakers with a history of being serial speeders despite publicly pushing safe-streets and environmentally conscious platforms, including Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.

Cabán — an advocate of pro-criminal “restorative justice” who discourages people from calling 911 — previously appeared in the DAISNAID files when she called the cops over hostile phone messages.
