Women Sacrificed to Transsexuals in Hockey

As noted below, women have been jilted by the leftists who pretend to protect them in favor of more politically fashionable transsexuals. Hockey offers another appalling example.

Not long ago, the NHL — which had been a rare refuge from in-your-face leftism in the sports world — went full moonbat:

Hockey is a rough game. Anyone who knows what a guy calling himself Fallon Fox did to Erika Newsome and Tamikka Brents after he was allowed to fight as a woman in mixed martial arts can guess what happened next.

Players in the all-trans tournament were divided among six teams.

Team Pink had all the biggest players made up of “trans women,” one of whom actually played college hockey as a male. …

Team Pink blasted through all the teams with smaller, natural-born female players and, at one point, was even heard discussing whether or not to stop scoring, so it wasn’t so obvious that they were just physically too big and strong for the other teams to beat.

But, even worse, one of those Team Pink players seriously injured a natural-born female player who claims to be “FTM” (female-to-male transgender) from an opposing team.

The girl suffered a concussion and muscle strains in her neck, shoulder, and back. That’s why men and women normally play on separate teams.

Despite all the pious politically correct posturing beforehand…

…the NHL and the media dropped the transsexual tournament straight down the memory hole. We know what happened thanks to Jonathan Kay at Quillette:

Aside from a tweet containing four photos of the November 19th–20th event, the NHL provided no substantive information about how the tournament unfolded. Nor did media outlets such as Hockey News, whose reporting consisted instead of cheery tournament summaries (“The arena was just buzzing with trans joy for two solid days”) sourced to the organizers’ social media accounts. Vice sent a five-person film crew to cover the tournament, including two cameramen, but so far hasn’t reported anything on what that unit filmed. So as far as I know, in fact, I’m the first person to publicly report the events described below.

As with hate hoaxes, follow-up is rare when the story doesn’t end in a way that supports the liberal narrative.

Expert Explains Why People Hate Brittney Griner Deal

Biden’s big Brittney Griner deal is the first trade involving a WNBA player to attract public interest. Not everyone is happy with it. The moonbats at Insider try to figure out why:

Dani Gilbert, an expert on hostage taking and recovery and a Rosenwald Fellow in US Foreign Policy and International Security at Dartmouth College’s John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding, told Insider, before Griner’s release, that her research suggests that “how someone came to be in need of assistance affects whether or not the public thinks that person should receive it.”

This phenomenon, she said, is called the “deservingness heuristic.”

That’s why the Experts make the big bucks. They can make the obvious seem complicated.

Griner refused to stand for our national anthem. She violated Russian law in Russia and deserves Russian punishment.

Others incarcerated in Russia do not deserve it. Examples include the US Marine left behind in a labor camp on dubious espionage charges, Paul Whelan. Another is Marc Fogel, who like Griner was arrested for drugs, but unlike her was not indulging in them out of degeneracy and arrogance. He was caught with medical marijuana that he had been prescribed for severe chronic spinal pain. At last word, the 61-year-old was in a hard labor colony. I doubt he is getting his pain meds.

Both Whelan and Fogel have been in Russian custody longer than Griner was. Both are vastly more deserving of assistance. But neither is a Lesbian of Color, so Biden threw away his only notable bargaining chip to get Griner.

Predictably, the Expert turns reality on its head, and portrays Griner’s privilege as oppression:

Gilbert believed that the fact that Griner is Black could have been “a huge part of the lack of attention to her case.”

Two more worthy but regrettably for them Caucasian Americans are left to languish while a man described by the DEA as one of the most dangerous people on the planet has been freed to resume arming terrorists for the sake of a woman who publicly disrespects her own country. We are instructed to regard this as a racist “lack of attention.”

Only an Expert could be so flagrantly full of crap.

“And then there are other demographic characteristics, including the fact that she is openly gay, that she is gender nonconforming, not traditionally feminine — all of these work against public sympathy for someone in her position,” Gilbert added.

Poor Brittney. Let’s hope Whelan and Fogel spare a tear for her while they toil in their labor camps as the rich celebrity wallows in her luxuriant oppression.

Biden Trades Merchant of Death for Brittney Griner

Brittney Griner is a black lesbian who plays in the WNBA, where she has refused to stand for the national anthem for leftist reasons. With those credentials, she would never be left to rot in a Russian prison, despite smuggling illegal drugs into the country, no matter how much it cost us to spring her. The price was Viktor Bout, a.k.a. the Merchant of Death:

The one-for-one swap was a surprise given that U.S. officials had for months expressed their determination to bring home both Griner and Paul Whelan, a Michigan corporate security executive jailed in Russia since December 2018 on espionage charges that his family and the U.S. government has said are baseless.

Whelan is just a US Marine and a white guy to boot. So he stays in Russia, as would be the case with you or me or Marc Fogel:

The president made no mention of American Marc Fogel of Oklahoma, a teacher who is also detained in Russia on marijuana-related charges.

As for Bout, described by the Justice Department as one of the world’s most prolific arms dealers,

Bout, whose exploits inspired a Hollywood movie, was serving a 25-year sentence on charges that he conspired to sell tens of millions of dollars in weapons that U.S officials said were to be used against Americans.

The movie reference is to Lord of War, starring Nicholas Cage.

Former DEA Chief of Operations Michael Braun describes Bout as “one of the most dangerous men on the face of the earth”:

Relieving Griner of responsibility for breaking the law in another country will cost lives — very possibly American lives.

Putin could name his price for Griner. He wanted Bout. Despite going out of its way to antagonize Russia, the Biden Regime does not seem to wonder why Bout is seen as so valuable. The idiot Biden has been crowing victoriously.

NHL Goes Full Moonbat

During the Black Lives Matter riots, professional sports became unwatchable for many patriots, as players knelt in obeisance to lowlife thugs who were looting businesses, burning down neighborhoods, and destroying statues of the heroes who personify our heritage, all in the name of radical left ideology. Hockey was somewhat spared from the in-your-face race-based moonbattery, due to it being a game played almost exclusively by white men. But in the ongoing climate of belligerently pushy leftism, even a partial reprieve from wokeism couldn’t last forever:

This can’t mean women pretending to be men playing on men’s teams, because they could not compete. Maybe it means men pretending to be women playing on women’s teams — as a fan was piously slapped down for suggesting:

The NHL’s statement is literally insane, and not only because it alienates fans who are not moonbats — most likely, the vast majority of them.

What makes liberals so insufferable is not that they are wrong or even that their agenda is nauseating. It is that they are bullies who allow no safe haven from their totalitarian ideology.

Netball Australia Gets Woke and Goes Broke

Netball is similar to basketball. Only women play it. Due to lack of interest, it does not generate substantial revenue. Unlike the WNBA, it is not bankrolled by a left-wing institution with deep pockets like the NBA. It requires sponsors. Projectile vomiting self-righteous moonbattery at these sponsors is not wise:

Hancock Prospecting Executive Chairman Gina Rinehart has withdrawn a $15m sponsorship for Netball Australia after its players criticized her for something her father said back in 1984.

Denouncing and retroactively canceling people who are no longer with us because they said something that would be politically incorrect if they said it today is a common practice among leftists. The past is to be purged of anyone who ever disagreed with whatever we are told we must think at the moment.

The team also criticized the fact that she has refused to acknowledge climate change.

Since the climate crisis not real, it will cease to exist if people refuse to acknowledge it. That would derail the progressive agenda, and therefore cannot be allowed.

The sponsorship agreement contains a clause that the team would wear uniforms that would carry the name of the mining company, but the players refused to wear them.

That puts them in breach of contract, which will make it difficult to use courts to force Hancock Prospecting to resume the funding. Where force does not work, leftists tend to be at a loss.

The withdrawal of the sponsorship will be devastating. The team lost $4.4 million dollars in 2021 with the sponsorship.

Making a living playing a game is a nice gig. A little gratitude might have kept it going. Something for the girls to think about as they stand in the unemployment line.

Others could benefit from Netball Australia’s painful lesson, but would rather wallow in wokeness:

Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins, a known climate activist, [last month] raised ethical concerns about a major sponsor.

Cummins went to Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley and raised “ethical objections” about Alinta Energy’s climate impact ahead of its contract renewal, according to Nine Newspapers.

Failure to learn from others’ mistakes forces you to learn from your own.

Meanwhile, the Fremantle Dockers [Australian Football League] team [last month] faced calls to remove Woodside as its major sponsor.

Like Alinta Energy, Woodside Energy helps keep the lights on. It would be hard to waste time watching soccer on TV without electricity.

Dusty Baker Grouses That His Team Isn’t Racially Correct

It’s not whether you win or lose or how you play the game that counts; it’s what identity boxes you check. So says Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker, whose opinion matters no matter how moronic it might be because he is black:

When [Dusty Baker] leads the Houston Astros in Game 1 of the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night, the AL and NL champions are expected to play without any U.S.-born Black players for the first time since 1950…

It’s a fact that deeply disturbs the 73-year-old Baker…

Baker will pout even if his own team wins, because they aren’t US-born blacks like him. This is unlikely to have a positive effective on the team’s morale.

According to Baker, “we need to do something” about too many players failing to comply with his racial preferences. He implies that it is somehow due to racism and that we should hang our heads in shame.

The percentage of black players in the MLB has declined from 18% in 1991 to 7.2% at the beginning of this season, presumably because blacks are less interested in baseball. This leaves those in charge with the choice of either fielding fewer blacks, or fielding blacks who are less talented than players who are excluded due to their race.

Can you guess which option the woke MLB is going with? Sure you can:

Last summer, for the first time in MLB draft history, four of the first five players selected were Black.

What a coincidence. Not even sports are free from the injustice and mediocrity imposed by Affirmative Action.

All four, along with more than 300 big leaguers, including Atlanta’s Michael Harris II, Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene, Pittsburgh’s Ke’Bryan Hayes and Milwaukee’s Devin Williams, took part in MLB diversity-based initiatives such as the MLB Youth Academy, DREAM Series and the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program.

For some reason, no one cares about racial disparities in the 71% black NFL or 72% black NBA.

Blacks make up 13% if the population. That they are vastly overrepresented in some areas (e.g., advertising) makes it difficult to ensure that they are not underrepresented anywhere else.

Formerly, virtually every major leaguer was a US-born white guy. This is unsurprising, considering that members of America’s core population invented the game. Now, the league openly recruits others to supplant them. A white manager who complained about this would lose his job instantly. Systemic racism cuts only one way.

Trans Volleyball Player Gives Real Girl Concussion

Men taking advantage of the ascendancy of LGBTism to beat up on women in the context of sports is no longer limited to mixed martial arts, where a guy calling himself Fallon Fox gave a woman named Tamikka Brents a concussion and a damaged orbital bone that required seven staples. The violence now extends to high school volleyball:

Early last month, Hiwassee Dam High School competed against Highlands High School in a girls’ volleyball tournament. During the game, an unnamed biological male playing for Highlands spiked a ball over the net and hit an unnamed Hiwassee Dam player directly in the face.

In addition to presumably getting to watch girls in the shower, the male interloper had a chance to shoot a ball into a girl’s face at a reported 70 mph. His victim lay on the floor for some time before she was able to walk off the court.

The girl is still said to be experiencing long-term concussion symptoms, such as vision problems, and has not been cleared to return to play either by a physician or a neurologist.

Happy, moonbats?

As a result of her injury, the Cherokee County Board of Education voted 5-1 to cancel all future volleyball games against Highlands High School, citing a “safety issue.”

If guys pretending to be girls can’t play women’s sports, then no one can play them. This is the price of no one having the spine to stand up to LGBT bullies.

Trans insanity has got to stop right now.

Tackled Moonbat Alex Taylor Files Police Report

A moonbat named Alex Taylor ran onto the field during Monday night’s NFL game between the Rams and the 49ers with a device emitting pink smoke. This made him eligible to be tackled. Ram defenders Bobby Wagner and Takk McKinley brought him down so that security could bring him in. It was the most satisfying NFL play since the last time Colin Kaepernick was sacked.

Since we are living in Clown World, Taylor has filed a police report:

Taylor is an activist on behalf of the organization Direct Action Everywhere. A fellow member of the organization, Allison Fluty, tried to run onto the gridiron as well, but was tackled by security before reaching the playing field.

They sought to bring attention to a trial in which two animal rights activists are facing charges for stealing two pigs from a factory farm in Utah in 2017.

The organization called the hit on the activist a “blatant assault.”

If Taylor really wants the police involved, they ought to arrest him for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and being a sniveling jackass. Then a judge ought to sentence him to serve as a tackling dummy for the Rams for the rest of the season.
