Two-Tiered Justice in Colonized Italy

In Europe, how hard the law comes down on criminals depends on which groups the defendant and victim represent. Gateway Pundit offers an example from Italy:

[Today] Italian prosecutors formally requested a life sentence for Cinzia Dal Pino, a 65-year-old businesswoman from Viareggio who ran over and killed Said Malkoun with her SUV after he stole her bag.

Malkoun, 47, whose nationality authorities could not confirm because he had given false information during previous arrests, had no fixed address and no valid residence permit, and supported himself through theft.

His lifestyle and immigration status place him squarely in the camp of the “oppressed.” Don’t mess with oppressed or you risk the wrath of the establishment.

In contrast,

The incident comes just two weeks after the reverse occurred: a vehicular attack on Italians by a North African, in which no life sentence was sought, underscoring how the legal system protects illegal aliens and Islamists at the expense of ordinary Italian citizens.

On May 16, Salim El Koudri, a 31-year-old Italian citizen of Moroccan origin, drove his car at high speed into pedestrians in Modena, injuring eight, four critically, including two women who lost their legs. He then exited the vehicle and stabbed a bystander before being subdued by civilians.

This is a textbook Muslim tactic.

Counterterrorism analyst Giovanni Giacalone of the David Institute for Security Policy stated that El Koudri’s method “is the classic Islamic State ‘lone wolf’ approach, already used in numerous attacks in Europe and the United States by ISIS supporters.”

Nonetheless,

Italian authorities classified the attack as a mental-health incident within 36 hours, despite investigators subsequently finding terrorist videos on El Koudri’s phone, internet searches related to vehicular attacks, and anti-Christian emails he had sent to the University of Modena in 2021 containing the words, “You Christian bastards, you and your Jesus Christ on the cross, I’ll burn him.”

The “mental health” hogwash is to protect El Koudri from appropriate consequences. The death penalty he richly deserves or even a long prison sentence would prevent him from spending the €40,000+ he reportedly expected to receive for his crime.

Cinzia Dal Pino needn’t bother trying the mental health stratagem; as an Italian, she lacks favored status.

Gavin Newsom Introduces 100% Taxation

One of Obama’s several autobiographies is entitled Dreams from My Father. His father floated the idea of 100% taxation. This dream could come true in Democrat-dominated California.

The Hill reports:

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Wednesday said he will impose a 100 percent tax on state residents who receive money from the Trump administration’s new $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund meant to compensate those who feel they were wrongfully prosecuted by the government.

Governor Greasy will confiscate the money with relish:

“One thing that I think we’re going to try to do … is tax 100 percent. Anyone from California that receives any of those funds, we want to tax 100 percent of those proceeds. And that’s an action the state of California can take,” Newsom said. “It’s an action we look forward to taking.”

Democrats object to the fund on the grounds that it could compensate those unjustly persecuted following January 6. They call it a “slush fund” — which is rich coming from Newsom, who has his own controversial funds.

Among the programs that faced scrutiny was a $25 million California legal fund created to combat what Newsom described as “legal warfare” from the Trump administration. California Republican Senate Minority Leader Brian Jones later deemed the fund a “slush fund.”

Newsom also faced scrutiny during California’s 2021 recall campaign over the state’s use of no-bid COVID-19 contracts. A Kaiser Health News investigation found California awarded billions of dollars in emergency contracts to firms tied to donors, political allies and well-connected insiders.

Taxing at the rate of 100% is an idea sure to catch on among other Democrats. Being progressives, they will progressively apply it more broadly. At least it is better than executing CEOs.

As for what Newsom et al. would do with the loot, City Journal offers a possibility:

California is spending millions of dollars on a program that provides free solar panels, refrigerators, and windows to “low-income” farmworkers, including illegal immigrants.

It is believed that providing illegal aliens with free solar panels will please leftist weather gods.

Meanwhile, California faces a $2.9 billion budget shortfall that is predicted to rise, despite the highest income taxes in the nation. Not even 100% taxation could keep up with Democrats’ profligate waste of other people’s money.

Down on the Democrat Farm: Chris Rabb

Looking back on the horror that unfolded in countries like Russia and China when communists took power, we console ourselves that it couldn’t happen here. But it could and will, if it is up to some of the new crop of Democrats.

The Washington Free Beacon shines a light on Chris Rabb, who has called for the death penalty for corporate CEOs:

“The gangs some of the above culprits lead are far more devastating to a much broader and larger group of Americans than the Crips or Bloods ever will be. So, they’ve got [sic] be taken down on behalf of hard-working, tax-paying American families,” wrote Rabb, a socialist running for the open House seat in Pennsylvania’s Third Congressional District, one of the most Democratic districts in the country.

Rabb won the Democrat primary in this white minority Philadelphia district.

By “above culprits,” he is referring to the heads of corporations. Rabb doesn’t like it that they make so much money.

“I’ve changed my previous stance in opposition to the death penalty and now think that it should be administered more frequently and swiftly than ever,” added Rabb, the founder of the activist website Afro-Netizen.

Just not against criminals.

Other Rabb positions that have endeared him to progressives are direct cash payments based on race, abolishing ICE, socialist grocery stories, and a “Palestinian right of return” that would eradicate Israel.

Rabb recently called to “free” Mumia Abu-Jamal, a black nationalist who murdered Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981, the Washington Free Beacon reported. If elected in November, Rabb’s district will encompass the street corner where Abu-Jamal killed Faulkner.

This is comparable to having Rabb’s fellow up and coming Democrat, the obsequiously pro-Islamist Brad Lander, represent the site where the World Trade Center once stood.

“Evil people always support each other,” said communist gulag survivor Alexandr Solzhenitsyn. “That is their chief strength.” This wouldn’t surprise him:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and fellow “Squad” members Summer Lee (D., Pa.), Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), and Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) endorsed Rabb, as have Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.) and 2028 presidential hopeful Rep. Ro Khanna (D., Calif.). And Rabb has campaigned with Hasan Piker, the extremist social media influencer who has praised Hezbollah and said that “America deserved 9/11.” …

Piker recently said Brian Thompson, the UnitedHealthcare CEO who was allegedly murdered by Luigi Mangione, was guilty of “social murder,” a Marxist concept that blames capitalists for social ills that befall the working class.

Imagine a government run by Luigi Mangione, and you can see how communists have managed to run up such a high body count.

If they manage to get Mangione off, he might exploit his rock star status among moonbats to follow Rabb into politics. He would fit right in with a list of rising Democrats that includes James Talarico, Mai Vang, Brad Lander, Graham Platner, Maureen Galindo, Shelby Campbell, and Raymond Chandler.

Why ICE Agents Wear Masks

In case there is anyone out there who really doesn’t understand why ICE agents have to wear masks (LEFTIST LANGUAGE ALERT):

American Greatness reports on the riot Wednesday night:

“I’ll kill your whole f-cking family! Your whole f-cking family is dead!” the agitator yawped. “Your children, your wife—all dead!”

“I have your face, motherf-cker,” the agitator bellowed. “You’re dead, dead!”

Background:

Anti-ICE demonstrations have escalated outside the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark in recent days, with violent agitators assaulting federal agents amid contested claims of substandard living conditions and massive hunger strikes within the facility. Local Democrat officials have actively encouraged the ongoing agitation, including U.S. Senators Andy Kim and Cory Booker, as well as Governor Mikie Sherrill.

As for the massive hunger strikes,

During the White House cabinet meeting Wednesday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin told President Trump that only a small handful of detainees had gone on a hunger strike because they were denied ethnic food.

This story might have a happy ending:

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed Thursday that the anti-ICE agitator caught on tape in New Jersey threatening an ICE agent and his family will be brought to justice. …

“I promise you, we will find him, and when we find him, we will arrest him, because it is a crime not only to threaten law enforcement, but not surprisingly, to threaten their family, as well,” he said.

It doesn’t matter that local authorities in deep blue New Jersey would side with the scumbag. Threatening an ICE agent is a felony under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 111).

Doxing threats need to be regarded as serious. Mexican cartels have offered bounties on ICE agents. Moonbat terrorists have targeted their children.

Meanwhile, liberals screech on television that the ICE agents protecting the USA from foreign invasion must be the bad guys because they wear masks to protect their identities. California even passed a law against it, although this was blocked by a federal ruling.

If Democrats take over at the federal level, the illegal aliens and their lowlife allies win.

How to Tell Proper Immigrants Apart From Invading Hordes of Moochers

To achieve their objectives, Democrats conflate immigrants with illegal immigrants. These groups are fundamentally different. Illegal immigrants are not immigrants but foreign invaders. Equating them annoys people whose parents were lawful immigrants — like federal prosecutor Bill Essayli:

It seems Democrats can tell the difference between legal and illegal immigrants after all. Upon the latter, they bestow the favoritism reserved for the “oppressed.” To quote Essayli on California Democrats:

“[T]his is like the protected oppressed group of the day. And so all their bills every day is like, how do we protect illegal immigrants? How do we get more lawyers for them? How do we get them more services? How do we get them free down payment assistance to buy a home? I’m not joking. That was a bill when I was in Sacramento. They wanted to allow illegal immigrants to access down payment assistance to buy a home. … [P]eople like my [lawful immigrant] mom, she’s not getting down payment assistance. She’s not getting all these things. She’s working.”

Fortunately, that particular handout has stalled for now. Via Gateway Pundit:

Essayli was referencing California Assembly Bill 1840, legislation passed by the Democrat-controlled legislature in 2024 that would have expanded eligibility for the California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan Program to undocumented immigrants [i.e., illegal aliens].

The program offers qualifying first-time homebuyers shared-appreciation assistance for down payments and closing costs, but Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed the bill, citing limited funding, not opposition to the concept itself.

The easiest way to tell the numberless hordes of moochers pouring across underdefended borders apart from properly vetted immigrants likely to benefit the country is the belligerent air of entitlement that characterizes the oppressed:

Roll up your sleeves, taxpayers. Providing for the greedy dreams of everyone in the infinitely reproducing Third World won’t come cheap.

Canadian Researcher and Activist Nicholas Jordan Wagter Detained in Psychiatric Facility

In the USSR, dissidents were often proclaimed to be insane and locked away in mental institutions, which served not only to silence but also to discredit them. This tradition appears to continue in Canada. The International Business Times reports on the incarceration of Nicholas Jordan Wagter:

The 27-year-old researcher and activist was detained under British Columbia’s Mental Health Act after a traffic stop involving Vancouver Police and a mental health response unit. …

No criminal charges have been filed against him.

No need for criminal charges. Just declare him insane.

As of 27 May, Wagter remained hospitalised and continued posting updates from inside the facility, including videos and photos claiming he was being held against his will despite allegedly being cleared by other medical professionals.

Some worry that he could be subjected to forced medication.

The Vancouver-based researcher holds a degree in medical biophysics and has published academic work, including a 2025 paper discussing theories tied to time perception and neuroscience.

That’s fine, but this could be a problem:

He frequently posted allegations involving government corruption, Chinese influence operations and national security concerns in Canada.

Conveniently,

Under British Columbia’s Mental Health Act, officials can detain someone for psychiatric evaluation if doctors believe the person may pose a risk to themselves or others or could seriously deteriorate without treatment.

Maybe Wagter really is dangerously insane. Doesn’t seem like it though. Here’s what a political arrest might look like under liberal soft tyranny:

Allowing Big Government to take over the medical field prevents people from getting timely medical care, but it has the advantage of facilitating medicalization as an approach to dealing with thought criminals. Let’s hope Wagter does not qualify for Medical Assistance in Dying, like the guy with the stomach issues outside Tim Hortons.
