Karmelo Anthony Supporters Enraged He Was Not Let Off

Justice was done — sort of. Karmelo Anthony did not get the death penalty he richly deserves for murdering Austin Metcalf or even life in prison. But at least the public gets a 17½-year reprieve before they unleash him on parole. Even that was enough to enrage his supporters.

Protesters awaiting the verdict in the Karmelo Anthony trial were furious to learn the 19-year-old had been found guilty of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a Texas track meet in April 2025.

“We gotta tell our kids the truth, that this is a racist-ass country,” yelled a woman dressed in what appeared to be a Black Panther uniform.

“Anytime a white man, or a white child, go and put their hands aggressively on anybody, and something like this occur, it’s self-defense,” she said.

Anthony and Metcalf attended different schools. After Anthony entered Metcalf’s school’s tent, Metcalf asked him to leave. The two had a short argument before Anthony fatally stabbed Metcalf in the heart. Metcalf died in his twin brother’s arms.

Now Anthony is a martyr in the liberal pantheon, like George Floyd except still alive. Democrats need their heroes, just as they need their villains:

Gavin Newsom Threatens to Imprison Trump Over California Election Fraud

Democrats have not given up on their dream of throwing Donald Trump in prison:

By “politicians spreading election lies,” he means Trump.

The context is the farce unfolding in California, where Spencer Pratt is getting knocked off the ballot by a dubious avalanche of mail-in votes for the absurd Nithya Ramen, and votes for Governor are nowhere near counted more than a week after the election.

This banana republic-like method of conducting an election has raised suspicions, notably from Trump. The president, of course, has always maintained that Democrats used mail-in ballots to cheat him out of the 2020 election.

“FAFO, Donald,” snarls Newsom to underscore his threat. That’s how he talks to the President of the United States.

In a May 27 news release, Newsom’s office announced that the governor had signed Senate Bill 73.

As the release makes clear, the bill is aimed at “growing threats of election interference and intimidation, including efforts by allies of President Donald Trump to undermine confidence in elections and disrupt lawful election administration.”

That is, California is attempting to criminalize objections to election fraud by Democrats. This calls to mind the Stop Nick Shirley Act, intended to shut down independent investigative journalists who dig where Democrats don’t want them to.

If California were its own country, it would be Venezuela. This will go for the USA as a whole if Democrats like Newsom take power at the national level. As his threat reminds us,

The anti-Trump lawfare of the Biden years is on the agenda if he gets into the White House.

Democrats probably really will throw Trump in prison on one trumped-up charge or another the moment they are able. That’s what happens to opponents in banana republics.

Considering that homosexuality is proscribed in the harshest terms throughout the Bible, this begs the question of who she is praying to.

Starmer Promises Crackdown on Native Brits Following Attempted Beheading

Breitbart has follow-up on Steven Ogilvy, the recipient of an appalling act of multicultural enrichment on a Belfast street:

Ogilvy, the victim of the “attempted beheading” in north Belfast, Northern Ireland, in the United Kingdom this week lost one eye and suffered serious damage to the other, as well as deep cuts to his neck. He remains in hospital in serious condition.

The alleged attacker is Hadi Alodid of Sudan.

Left with no other recourse short of overthrowing the government, locals have taken to the streets to protest what is being done to them. This predictably caused Two-Tier Keir Starmer to rediscover a love of law and order.

Calling the “scenes” overnight “shocking and completely unacceptable”, the head of government returned to his usual pattern where he gives the impression — inadvertently or not — of being more outraged by the counter-migrant-violence protests than the original violence itself. He said: “It is clear that people were targeted last night because of their background and I will not tolerate it. Those responsible will feel the full force of the law.”

You bet they will. As usual in the UK, local police are on the same page:

The head of the PSNI [Police Service of Northern Ireland] Chief Constable Jon Boutcher said 200 fresh officers were being flown into Ulster today from Great Britain to patrol the streets against further protests tonight.

Also predictably, authorities blame free speech for the unrest and promise a crackdown.

The police boss particularly cleaved to the official government line on the causes of discontent in the United Kingdom, blaming social media. Making implicit that violence would not happen were there no social media posts to tell members of the public how to react to criminal events, the top cop said his force would be “going after” influencers posting about Northern Ireland online.

Holding the lid down ever harder on a boiling pot while leaving the burner on high is not a long-term solution.

[A] migrant male attempted to behead a White male victim, leaving the injured man in critical condition before bystanders beat the assailant. …

A video of the incident, which shows a male brutally stabbing his victim and trying to slice off his head, has gone viral on social media. Some social media reports indicate the man is from Africa. The suspect appears to yell something in Arabic before trying to slice the victim’s head off. The video has been censored on X.

European authorities appear to have moved to censor the video on social media platforms.

Because of course they have; the video might inspire resistance.

Violent Chaos in New York Following Knicks Game

As civilization collapses under moonbat rule in New York, attending public events can be hazardous to your health. Outkick reports on last night’s official New York Knicks watch party:

After the San Antonio Spurs spoiled the party with a 115-111 win, many unruly Knicks fans took out their frustrations in the streets by creating as much chaos as possible.

As if they would not also have rioted if the Knicks had won.

Massive brawls broke out around the official watch party at Bryant Park, with officers in riot gear rushing to the scene in an attempt to control the fans. Pepper spray was deployed amid the intense scene unfolding in the streets.

The watch party could not be held outside Madison Square Garden where the Knicks play due to security concerns because Trump was in attendance.

The expectation is that an official watch party for Wednesday’s Game 4 in New York City will be held outside of Madison Square Garden. Whether the Knicks grab a commanding 3-1 lead in the series or the visiting Spurs tie the series at 2-2, it’s safe to assume some level of chaos will unfold in the streets yet again.

Dodger Pitcher Blake Treinen Is a Modern August Landmesser

August Landmesser is admired to this day for being the lone German who refused to give a Nazi salute at the launch of army vessel in 1936. The photo showing him standing with arms folded is iconic. His modern equivalent pitches for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Blake Treinen refused to wear a hat promoting sexual perversion on LGBTQ Pride Night last Friday.

Fox News reminds us that Treinen has rebelled before:

When the Dodgers decided to reinvite and honor the anti-Christian drag nun group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, he made his stance clear. Treinen said that he was “disappointed to see The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence being honored as heroes at Dodger Stadium. Many of their performances are blasphemous, and their work only displays hate and mockery of Catholics and the Christian faith.”

Treinen is not alone. Apparently catcher Alex Call didn’t wear a rainbow hat either. A couple of years ago, Dodger great Clayton Kershaw responded to Pride Night by writing “Gen 9:12-16” on his hat. That part of Genesis establishes the true meaning of the rainbow, which has been blasphemously appropriated by the militantly sinful.

New Yorker Magazine Denounces Patriotism as Problematic

Elitist liberals are at their most insufferable on the pages of The New Yorker, so this is just the publication to call attention to American patriotism being “problematic.” This it accomplishes in a brutally long article consisting of denunciations of America, sputtering hatred of Donald Trump, and weaponized cynicism.

Crows author Arthur Krystal:

A Gallup poll found that, in the past dozen years, the percentage of people in the U.S. who say that they’re “extremely proud to be American” has plunged by sixteen points. A recent Harris poll noted that roughly four in ten Americans have considered relocating outside the country, with younger Americans even more inclined.

This Krystal ascribes to Trump. True enough, it is a result of moonbats being unpatriotic enough to abandon their own country because they lost an election.

Patriotism just isn’t cool anymore.

Liberals reserve to themselves the right to determine what is cool.

Wokeness, having rightly called attention to racial and gender injustices long endemic to American life, helped chill the left’s admiration for the nation, while its clumsier performances (cancellations, cultural-appropriation scolds, and other exercises in finger-wagging) pushed centrists to the right.

The blind squirrel has found another nut. Progressives have become so repugnant that they drive moderates to the right.

Celebrations honoring the USA’s 250th birthday will not sit well in the bellies of New Yorker moonbats:

According to america250.org, the Semiquincentennial is meant to be “the largest anniversary observance in our nation’s history.” Whether it will outdo the Bicentennial remains to be seen, but, given the White House’s current occupant, I’m bracing for an excess of foolish excess.

He quotes Frederick Douglass from an 1852 speech entitled, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?”:

“To him, your celebration is a sham; your boasted liberty, an unholy license; your national greatness, swelling vanity; your sounds of rejoicing are empty and heartless; your denunciation of tyrants, brass-fronted impudence; your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and thanksgivings, with all your religious parade and solemnity, are to him mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy.”

Once again blacks and other minority races are exploited to attack our love of country:

Ours is a complicated history, made more tortuous by race. Some five hundred Indigenous nations lived here before the first enslaved Africans arrived, in 1619—a year before the first Pilgrims. That, too, is American history, along with Reconstruction, Jim Crow, segregation, the Great Migration, Black anger, [yadda yadda yadda].

Patriotism pinches a nerve with moonbats. This is another way patriots have of knowing they are on the right track.
