Texas Rancher Killed by IED

Thanks to the border having been de-defended by Democrats and the Mexican government being ineffectual, the border is a war zone — complete with IEDs:

Rancher Antonio Céspedes Saldierna, 74, who worked on both sides of the border, along with Horacio Lopez Peña, were killed in the blast in Tamaulipas, Mexico, which was just south of Brownsville, Texas. Lopez’s wife, Ninfa Griselda Ortega, was hospitalized with injuries.

Saldierna was a US citizen.

Given that the drug cartels suspected of planting the IED have no more respect for the border than Democrats do, this blood could easily have been shed north of the border. To the extent the cartels are effectively the government in northern Mexico, it would be an act of war.

Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham spoke with the Daily Signal:

The Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Military Department have, in recent years, discovered “caches of weapons, including IEDs,” on a small Texas island in the Rio Grande, Buckingham said.

“Unfortunately, extreme violence, including the use of IEDs, has become more common over the last few years as cartels were emboldened by weak leadership in Washington, D.C.,” according to Buckingham.

Due to the media’s collusion, it will take a while to discover just how out of control Democrats let things go. It will take longer still to set the situation back to rights against their resistance.

Leftist Chicago Mayor Has 6.6% Favorability

Chicago reacted to the failure of Lesbian of Color and Beetlejuice lookalike Lori Lightfoot by electing someone even further to the left, the ultramoonbat Brandon Johnson. This appeared to plunge Chicago into the final stages of the Democrat Death Spiral. Yet there might still be hope of the Windy City escaping the fate of formerly wealthy Detroit. At least residents are not pleased with what they inflicted on themselves:

An overwhelming 79.9 percent of Chicago residents disapprove of Johnson’s leadership, while only 6.6 percent view the Democrat favorably, according to a poll that M3 Strategies released on Saturday. The mayor’s favorability rating is even lower than in October of last year, when Johnson became the most unpopular mayor in Chicago history.

If you can’t sell race-based moonbattery in the city that launched the pernicious careers of Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and Barack Obama, demand has truly cratered.

Chicagoans are especially unhappy about Johnson displacing them at their own extravagant expense with hordes of illegal aliens:

Johnson has long faced backlash over his handling of Chicago’s migrant crisis, with residents decrying his proposed tax hike to cover a budget deficit as the city spends over half a billion dollars on migrant shelters. The mayor, though, has criticized the Trump administration’s response to the crisis, saying that arresting and deporting illegal immigrants is “attempting to get us to surrender our humanity.”

Some have learned not to cower in submission when leftists who impose poverty sanctimoniously brandish words like “humanity.”

Now for the bad news. The next Mayor of Chicago will be another Democrat.

At least they can’t repeat their last mistake by sinking still deeper in wokery. Other than possibly Keith Olbermann, there is no one to the left of Brandon Johnson.

AP sputters that this has caused “confusion and anger,” not to mention “turmoil.” HHS shrieks that lists of activities/accomplishments will be read by “malign foreign actors.” Why all the hysteria over asking Swamp bureaucrats what they have been doing with the time we pay them for? A chatroom frequented by members of federal intelligence agencies offers a clue:

According to our sources, the sex chats were legitimized as part of the NSA’s commitment to “diversity, equity and inclusion.” Activists within the agency used LGBTQ+ “employee resource groups” to turn their kinks and pathologies into official work duties. According to the current NSA employee, these groups “spent all day” recruiting activists and holding meetings with titles such as “Privilege,” “Ally Awareness,” “Pride,” and “Transgender Community Inclusion.” And they did so with the full support of NSA leadership, which declared that DEI was “not only mission critical, but mission imperative.”

In this case, “diversity” was not a byword for racialism, but rather a euphemism for sex talk.

Just as anything liberals don’t like is “bigoted,” anything they do like is “diverse.”

Not all government employees are on board:

NSA chat logs suggest the presence of at least hundreds of gender activists within the intelligence services who cannot distinguish between male and female, and who believe that discussing castration, polyamory, and “gangbangs” is an appropriate use of public resources. For psychological and ideological reasons, these kinds of people will not be easily sidelined.

Alec Baldwin Threatens Trump Impersonator

Wealthy leftist Alec Baldwin escaped consequences for shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. So his fellow Trump impersonator Jason Scoop had better watch out.

Scoop was in Trump mode when he asked Baldwin if he would like a pardon for killing Hutchins:

“Alec, it’s your favorite president. Look, Alec, I will offer you a total pardon because I wanna be friends, right? I wanna be friends. I will give you a total pardon for murdering that woman if you kiss the ring. Kiss the ring, Alec. Kiss the big, beautiful ring. Come on, Alec.”

The 17-time Saturday Night Live host did not respond with much humor. Snarled Baldwin:

“If this camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your f***ing neck in half and break your f***ing neck.”

Liberals tell us we don’t need Christianity; we just need to be nice. Then they behave like Alec Baldwin.

Good thing it was Scoop and not the real Trump. The needling about Kamala’s collapse might have triggered Baldwin to lose it completely.

The reason college professors make such good money (largely at the expense of taxpayers and often for relatively little work) is that they have a special skill. Even after the envelope of moonbattery has been pushed over the edge into self-parody, they find creative ways to push it further still.

In the Equal Justice Initiative’s Community Remembrance Projects and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, materials of geologic composition like soil, and those made from earth materials, such as steel and bricks, are employed to trope the bodies of lynching victims and weather racist geologic formations of subjecthood. The holding and eroding of violent memories crafts an intimate and resistant geopoetics of Black humanity.

Whatever you major in, there is only one subject in college these days: moonbattery. Geology is now about how much liberals hate America. In an interview, two of the authors provide a glimpse into their classrooms by giving a history lesson:

In the US, white people killed Black people who wanted to be free, to be treated equal and to build a community for themselves. White people wanted to be more powerful than the Black people and use them to make money, so they would sometimes kill some of them to scare their friends and family.
