The system of government imposed by moonbats like NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is called “anarchotyranny.” Under it, while economically constructive activity is taxed and regulated to the point of paralysis, the streets degenerate into chaos.

The New York Post reports from a formerly staid neighborhood in Maspeth, Queens:

Shocking video shows reckless drivers whipping around the intersection at 69th Street and Eliot Avenue in Maspeth overnight Friday.

More than 100 vehicles are said to have been involved.

The chaos had a political aspect:

A man appeared to wave a Palestinian flag as he burned rubber, just narrowly missing those standing around the car while it made donuts.

More than ever since the horrific 10/7 Hamas terror atrocities, the Palestinian flag stands not so much for Palestinians as for hostility toward Western Civilization.

According to Councilman Phil Wong…

…three people jumped on top of the responding police car and shattered its windshield – but the culprits got away.

However, police say that at least one person received a citation for reckless driving, so civilization endures even in New York for now.

Homosexuals Taunt Motherless Baby

Homosexual “marriage” is not just absurd; it is evil. It leads to homosexual adoption and surrogacy, which in turn lead to sickness like this — via Modernity:

Two gay men in Nashville recorded themselves taunting the baby they obtained through surrogacy as he cried desperately for his mother.

This will warm the hearts of liberal social engineers:

No child should have to grow up without a mother.

The story first broke wide via independent reporting that identified the Nashville couple as country music songwriter Shane McAnally and his husband Michael Baum, who shared the video on Instagram. McAnally had previously told People magazine he pursued surrogacy despite his age because “rules” do not apply to their “non-traditional family.” The pair already has adopted twins.

McAnally. Seriously, that’s his name.

Let’s hope they at least refrain from molesting their accessories.

Democrats Let Illegal Alien Crime Flourish in Northern Virginia

Most violent crime is easily preventable. We just need to keep criminals locked up. But this policy is not an option where liberals have consolidated control, as in Northern Virginia.

Luzvin Orvando Garcia Moran, who sexually assaulted a local woman while she waited for a rideshare, is a Guatemalan who entered our country as a “gotaway.” That means he sneaked across the southern border without getting stopped by border officers. He has at least 25 other criminal charges against him in Arlington County, stretching all the way back to 2020, but apparently, woke authorities decided none of those merited serious prison time or turning him over to ICE.

Twenty-five charges and in the country illegally, yet he was allowed to run loose. This is like deliberately allowing a rabid pit bull to run loose.

The new governor is making the situation worse, as she refuses to hand over foreign murderers to federal immigration officers. Among the recent shocking stories out of Northern Virginia, particularly Fairfax County, was the Guatemalan illegal alien who murdered his 3-month-old baby. Another illegal alien just ended up in handcuffs for stabbing a man to death in Fairfax County.

Earlier this year, Sierra Leone national Abdul Jalloh was caught on surveillance camera stabbing Stephanie Minter at a bus stop.

Northern Virginia is an affluent suburb of the Swamp. Demographically, it has overwhelmed the rest of the state, allowing Spanberger to impose societal decay while degrading public safety. Soon well-to-do liberal voters will themselves be demographically overwhelmed by the savages they have imported on an illegal basis from the darkest corners of the world.

Eco-Mandated Paper Bags Are a Pain

One consequence of moonbat micromanagement is micro-oppression. Via ABC7 Gay Area:

Some Bay Area shoppers are frustrated after Safeway has stopped offering handles [on] its paper grocery bags, citing a supply chain problem. …

“Cheap bag just ripped right there!” one shopper said while loading groceries into his SUV.

Too bad he can’t use vastly more efficient plastic bags, which allow you to carry large quantities of groceries easily. Now the paper bags don’t even have handles, making them still more inferior.

Nick Vyas, executive director [of the Randall R. Kendrick Global Supply Chain Institute] at the University of Southern California, said the shortage [of usable bags] stems from several factors, including tariffs on Canadian lumber, Indonesia revoking lumber permits, and California’s ban on plastic bags that took effect earlier this year.

Regarding the latter, Vyas piously praised “this environmentally-conscious decision, which is a right thing to do.”

California voters have earned the paper bags, which without handles are almost impossible to carry without tears and spills if you have more than two.

If only all consequences of tyrannical enviroposturing were this insignificant.

Philadelphia Mayor: How Dare You Object to Excessive Taxation?

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker has a response to those who push back against Democrats greedily confiscating and wasting their money. Channeling Greta Thunberg, she snarls, “How dare you?”

Parker stood by her proposal to tax ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft to generate revenue for the city’s school district despite opposition from the companies.

During a news conference Wednesday, Parker reiterated her plan to a tax of $1 per ride in Philadelphia amid a $300 million budget deficit.

The extended quote:

“We are open for business here. But how dare you tell me, as mayor of this city, to tell the people in this city, that we cannot and should not enact what is one of the most limited powers that we have. And that is to decide how we will drive revenue to the School District of Philadelphia.”

How dare you object to excessive taxation in Philadelphia, former capital of a country that resulted from a revolution largely inspired by arrogantly greedy taxation?

At least King George III probably found a better use for the loot than flushing it down Philadelphia public schools. Not the Bee reports:

According to the city’s 2025 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Philly schools already spend $32,122 per student each academic year. Despite this, and the onslaught of new taxes that are funding the “schools,” the city’s schools are draining at a historic rate, with 70,000 or so empty seats in facilities built for a capacity of almost 200,000.

One reason why:

Meanwhile, scores provided by the National Assessment of Educational Progress show that only 15% of Philly 8th graders can do math at grade level and only 18% can read at grade level.

Spending does not improve student outcomes. If it did, kids in profligate hellholes like DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia would be able to read and write.

Arrest Warrant for ICE Agent in Minnesota

The leftists running Minnesota continue to criminalize law enforcement. The railroading of Derek Chauvin was a milestone. Daily Caller reports on another; an ICE agent was charged yesterday with felony assault:

An on-duty agent, Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr., on Feb. 5 allegedly pulled an unmarked SUV alongside another vehicle and pointed a handgun at the driver and his passenger, [Hennepin County Attorney Mary] Moriarty said. …

Morgan is charged with two counts of second-degree assault, has a warrant out for his arrest, and could face up to 14 years in prison between the charges…

Moriarty referred to the victims as “community members” who were “not doing anything at the time.”

She did not mention whether the “community members” were in the country legally. She did mention that she regards the enforcement of federal law to be “occupation.”

Moriarty said that more charges may be expected soon, including in regard to the deaths of Renée Good and Alex Pretti, who were both killed while impeding ICE agents.

Both Good and Pretti were recorded not only impeding but physically attacking ICE agents.

The historicness Moriarty achieved by being the first noisily LGBTQ person in her position will be dwarfed if she manages to stage another Fort Sumter moment by arresting federal agents for enforcing the law.
