San Francisco Schools Plunge Headlong Into Equity

Where liberals prevail, hiring and promotions are based not on merit but on equity. Liberals control most schools; shouldn’t the same principle be applied there? It will be in San Francisco:

San Francisco’s public school system is quietly rolling out a “Grading for Equity” program that will reportedly exclude homework or weekly tests from final grades and allow students to pass with scores as low as 21 out of 100.

With standards like that, Joe Biden could graduate.

Under Grading for Equity, semester grades will depend entirely on a final exam that can be retaken multiple times—even if students skip assignments or fail to attend class.

Passing the exam is not intended to be challenging:

[The] Grading for Equity system will allow students to earn an A with a score of 80, a C with 41, and a D with just 21 out of 100…

C used to be average. When equity has been achieved, everyone will be average — with average set to the lowest common denominator.

NPR Sues to Make Us Pay for It

Liberals are sore about Trump’s executive order cutting funding to the pernicious propaganda platforms PBS and NPR. The latter is retaliating with a characteristic Democrat tactic, lawfare. Applying its steadfast left-wing spin to the US Constitution, NPR proclaims that the First Amendment guarantees the “right” to have Big Government force other people to pay for the bullhorn through which it excretes moonbattery.

Colorado Public Radio, Aspen Public Radio, and KSUT joined NPR as litigants in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to challenge Trump’s order. …

The NPR stations allege the order is “textbook retaliation and viewpoint-based discrimination in violation of the First Amendment” …

“NPR is a non-partisan news organization that adheres to and upholds the highest standards of public service in journalism,” Katherine Maher, CEO of NPR, said in a public statement.

That this left-wing revolutionary would lie so brazenly as to ask us to believe cartoonishly woke NPR is nonpartisan gives an idea of its reliability as a source of information.

Watch as Maher proclaims that reverence for the truth is a distraction:

Trump’s EO came not a day too soon. Continue funding this cancer and soon it will metastasize until it is shutting down platforms that provide alternative viewpoints as in Canada.

CBC Shuts Down Opposition YouTube Channel

Eventually, we have to choose between state-affiliated media and free speech. The former is fundamentally hostile to the latter. Consider Canada:

A Canadian YouTube channel that was dominating the platform during the country’s recent election has vanished, after the state-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reached out to the social media giant, and branded it a ‘content farm’ in a Friday hit-piece.

The term “content farm” can be used to denigrate information platforms that liberals want to silence for committing misinformation/disinformation by failing to comply with the leftist viewpoint.

The channel, “Real Talk Politiks,” had over 300,000 subscribers and more than 70 million views in the month of April, according to ViewStats.com – making it the third-most viewed Canadian news and politics channel over the past three months.

That’s why it had to be silenced, lest future elections not turn out as well for leftists as last April.

Public broadcasting is not just an irritating misuse of taxpayer money. It is a tool by which authoritarian leftists replace free speech with the official narrative.

Senator Chris Van Hollen’s stunt of traveling on our dime to smooch the buttocks of Kilmar Abrego Garcia so enhanced his esteem among liberals that Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-MD) has tried to copy it. Sadly, he could not get a date with Kilmar:

Reps Maxwell Frost (D-FL), Robert Garcia (D-CA), Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), and Maxine Dexter (D-OR) also made a pilgrimage to El Salvador to pay homage to the criminal.

To get an idea of the kind of lowlife Democrats adore and have been importing to displace us, consider Ricardo Gonzalez Leon:

A 31-year-old Venezuelan migrant faces charges of armed kidnapping and unlawful restraint following the abduction and subsequent shootings of three women in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood on January 27. Two of the women died and one of the deceased victims told the others she had been raped during their ordeal.

Abrego Garcia’s affiliation is with MS-13, Gonzalez Leon’s with Tren de Aragua. Both are effectively affiliated with the Democratic Party that let them in.

Americans are not safe from the invaders anywhere — not even in a kayak:

An illegal alien from Venezuela, Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez Gonzalez, was arrested Tuesday in the hit and run jet ski death of 18-year-old Ava Moore who was kayaking on Lake Grapevine, Texas on Sunday.

The Venezuelan woman who allegedly killed Moore was caught on cellphone video fleeing the scene in a car with help from other Venezuelans. The male driver, also an illegal alien, who hit a vehicle while fleeing the park was also arrested Tuesday.

Undocumented Democrats have a distinctive manner of operating vehicles.

Moore had just completed the Air Force Academy Preparatory School this month and had been accepted into the Class of 2029 at the academy.

A US servicemember was killed by a foreign invader on US soil.

If only the Democrat politicians who have imposed them on us could be charged as accomplices in the many crimes illegal aliens commit.

Alarming Euthanasia Law Coming in France

It isn’t easy to top Canada when it comes to putting Big Government in the business of killing its citizens in the name of “healthcare.” But if anyone can do it, France can:

French MPs are preparing to vote on a law that would legalise euthanasia and assisted suicide.

Here’s where the French leave even Canada behind:

Based on the model that already exists for abortion, a ‘crime of obstruction’ has been created, which will allow the prosecution of anyone who wishes to prevent or attempt to prevent euthanasia, whether by action, words, or access to information. Deterring a suffering loved one from receiving a lethal injection could earn you up to two years in prison and a €30,000 fine.

The home of MAID had better scramble to keep up.

Conversely, the symmetrical possibility of a ‘crime of incitement to euthanasia,’ i.e., the act of pushing someone to request death, has not been retained, even though experience in other countries has shown that psychological, family, and financial pressures abound for those who are considering assisted suicide.

That’s because where leftism prevails, human life is not regarded as inherently valuable. If you are old and sick, you are a potential drain on public resources, so the government wants you dead.

Speaking of wanting seasoned citizens dead,

[Ezekiel] Emanuel, 67, an oncologist and architect of the Affordable Care Act, has lamented what he views as excessive healthcare spending on older people. In 2014 he wrote an essay in the Atlantic titled “Why I Hope to Die at 75,” pledging to forgo treatments and screenings once he had lived three-quarters of a century. …

Living too long “renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but is nonetheless deprived,” he mused. “Half of people 80 and older with functional limitations. A third of people 85 and older with Alzheimer’s . . . Even if we aren’t demented, our mental functioning deteriorates as we grow older.”

Remember when liberals only talked about lives not worth living when they were pushing abortion? Down the slippery slope we slide.

Ezekiel Emanuel was an adviser to Obama and Biden. He might return to this role. As noted earlier, Democrats are floating his brother Rahm for the next presidential candidate.
