Forbes Dumped Adam Andrzejewski for Exposing Fauci

In a free country, the press helps keep government under control by exposing it to the public when it gets out of line. In ours, a journalist who exposes powerful bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci can expect cancelation. Just ask Adam Andrzejewski, formerly of Forbes:

In 2011, I founded a national transparency organization called OpenTheBooks.com. Last year, we filed 47,000 Freedom of Information Act requests, the most in American history. We successfully captured and displayed online $12 trillion of federal, state, and local spending.

Over the past 14 months – since January 2021 – we investigated Dr. Fauci’s financials by filing FOIA requests. When I published our original reporting at Forbes, here is what happened.

The National Institutes of Health, Fauci’s employer, loaded an artillery shell in their big gun and fired it at the C-suite at Forbes. Quickly, Forbes folded and my column was terminated.

In response to a letter from high-level NIH bureaucrats, Forbes forbade him from writing about Fauci before killing his column altogether. Then they made it up to their overlords for having published a transparency advocate like Andrzejewski in the first place:

On the day Forbes cancelled me, the editors bent the knee. A new piece on Fauci published: “Fauci’s Portrait Will Soon Hang In The Smithsonian.”

Andrzejewski is the guy who broke the story of the conspicuously useless Covid tyrant Fauci being the highest paid employee in the entire federal leviathan, and having the most lavish retirement package in US Government history. Other findings included:

• Net worth: The Fauci household net worth exceeded $10.4 million.

• Earnings and gains: Salaries, benefits, royalties, investment gains in the Fauci household exceeded $1.7 million in 2020.

• Fauci’s wife: Christine Grady, the chief bioethicist at NIH made $234,284 in 2020.

• Royalties: Fauci made between $100,000 and $1 million as an editor and board member of McGraw-Hill.

• Awards: In 2021, Fauci was awarded a $1 million prize for “speaking truth to power” from the Dan David Foundation in Israel.

The irony content of that last item is enough to induce convulsions. Anthony Fauci is power incarnate, as the defenestration of Andrzejewski for exposing him demonstrates. He is an admitted liar who committed a felony by lying to Congress about US funding of the ChiCom research that almost certainly created Covid.

Andrzejewski had been a regular contributor since 2014, publishing about a quarter million words in Forbes. But a liberal establishment organ’s first loyalty is to Big Government, not to its contributors — or to its readers.

Why Masks Are Mandated for 4-Year-Olds in NYC

One of the few things more brutally senseless than forcing 5-year-olds to smother themselves in unhealthy Covid muzzles is to do this to 4-year-olds. After all, the younger they are, the more absurd it is to regard Covid as a serious threat. So how do New York authorities justify imposing masks on kids until their fifth birthday? Let’s ask NYC’s head moonbat Eric Adams:

As noted at the Washington Examiner,

Adams is boasting about lifting mandates while enforcing them on children, who suffer the most from them and benefit the least. There is no justification whatsoever for lifting mandates across the board while forcing 4-year-olds to continue to mask.

Four-year-olds are too young to show their faces or breathe free in the dystopian hellhole liberals are making of New York. But they might be old enough to understand that the people in charge are cruel and full of crap. That is, they might be “tainted,” as Adams puts it.

Seattle Schools Cling to Mask Mandates

Although Biden has made it clear that he wants Covid to go on indefinitely, even many Democrats admit that it can’t, fun though it has been for authoritarians to milk. However, for some of the people running public schools, masked children are the new normal:

Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee (D) announced last week that the state’s indoor mask mandate, including for schools, would be lifted beginning March 12. And King County updated its guidance shortly after the governor’s announcement to say that indoor masking for schools and several other establishments would not be required starting March 12.

If even King County, home of moonbattery-addled Seattle, admits that Covid is over, liberals need to find a new crisis not to let go to waste. But leftist educrats and teacher’s unions are too used to getting their way to let go.

Seattle Public Schools said in a statement last week that it would maintain its school mask mandate “until further notice.”

According to the district’s statement, it must negotiate with the [Seattle Education Association], “as required by the current collective bargaining agreement, to arrive at a mutually agreeable position regarding any permanent change to mask use requirements throughout the district.”

These negotiations are unlikely to go well for children. According to the local teacher’s union, “masks contribute to feelings of safety and normalcy that schools provide our students.”

Imagine a society where it is normal for children to have their individuality canceled by not being allowed to show their faces in public. That is the society kids are now growing up in.

Even if Covid hadn’t petered out into the mild Omicron variant, there is no evidence that forcing children to wear masks benefits their health, since the ChiCom virus was never a serious threat to them. On the contrary, the masks are vectors for pathogens, including pneumonia, tuberculosis, meningitis, keratitis, food poisoning, Lyme disease, Legionnaire’s disease, and sepsis. Making kids wear them all day results in hypoxia and an increased level of carbon dioxide in the blood. It may cause developmental delays, especially regarding speech. Kids with glasses can’t see through the fog. Masking kids is child abuse.

But as United Federation of Teachers/American Federation of Teachers president Al Shanker famously said, “When school children start paying union dues, that’s when I’ll start representing the interests of school children.” To the leftists who run schools, the conformity and compliance that masks represent are more important than kids’ well-being and healthy development.

Capitol Police Declare State of Emergency

As Black Lives Matter goons rioted repeatedly in DC, setting fire to a historic church a block from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and physically menacing a sitting Senator, local authorities established “Black Lives Matter Plaza” and painted “BLACK LIVES MATTER” in bright giant letters stretching for two blocks of Sixteenth Street leading to the White House. In stark contrast, the authorities have reacted to truckers who oppose never-ending Covid tyranny driving around on I-495 outside of town by declaring a state of emergency:

The Capitol Police Board on Sunday issued an emergency declaration as truck drivers protesting COVID-19 policies gather in the D.C. area, according to reports.

As predicted, the response of our leftist rulers to the People’s Convoy is the same as gelatinous tyrant Justin Trudeau’s response to the Freedom Convoy. The public expression of views contrary to those of the liberal establishment is now regarded as an emergency.

This allows for a military response from the National Guard, which is how protests are addressed in banana republic dictatorships.

In February, temporary fencing was put up around the Capitol in response to reports of disruptive truck convoys potentially arriving in Washington to protest COVID-19 restrictions.

At least DC authorities appear to have dropped the strategy of allowing civil disorder to get out of hand, so that they can tearfully exploit it afterward during political theatrical productions.

Democrats: Covid Forever

Covid has provided a pretext both for unprecedented tyranny and for the vast amounts of wasteful government spending that ignited the growing inflation crisis. Even with Covid fading, Democrats keep the pretext alive:

On January 14, the Biden administration issued a 90-day extension to the SOE, allowing for the continuation of various executive actions and federal spending pertaining to the pandemic. A month later, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) introduced a resolution to end it, arguing that “with COVID cases and hospitalizations on the decline, 94 percent of Americans having immunity to COVID, mask mandates falling by the wayside, and 70 percent of Americans agreeing ‘it’s time we accept that COVID is here to stay’ and that ‘we just need to get on with our lives,’ it’s clear we need new approach to COVID as we learn to live with it.”

Politico reports that the Senate voted 48-47 to approve the resolution along party lines Thursday, with Republicans invoking a provision of the National Emergencies Act to pass it via simple majority.

Unfortunately, it is not likely to pass the Democrat-controlled House, and even if it does, Biden croaks that he will veto it.

Many of the policies championed by Democrats to curb COVID have proven to be either ineffective or counterproductive, including lockdowns, masking, and promotion of COVID vaccines. Meanwhile, approximately $740 billion in previously approved COVID emergency spending remains unused.

Some Democrats have begun to back away from heavy-handed Covid policies that would be unnecessary now even if they were effective. However, Biden continues his jihad to force people who don’t want it to take an increasingly pointless vaccine.

“We will never give up on vaccinating more Americans,” Biden declared during his State of the Union address this week.

“Covid forever” would make a great campaign slogan for the Democrats this November.

As moonbattery degenerates ever deeper into self-parody, satire becomes infeasible. The Babylon Bee has finally thrown in the towel and is now reporting straight news:

Across the country, millions of Americans who cowered under oppressive government mandates for two years are standing in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, urging them to give their lives for their freedom.

“Yeah! You go, Ukrainians!” said local man Sam Millbit, who happily let the American government lock him in his home and destroy every small business in his town. “No matter what it takes, you need to fight for your freedom! I will be right here supporting you by adding the Ukrainian flag to my social media accounts to inspire you!”

It could not be confirmed that Sam Millbit is an actual person, but there would be no need to invent him, with people barking the same thing on every channel.

Bill Gates Wants to Emulate Australia’s Covid Response

To most of us, the Covid tyranny that has been on display in Australia is a stark warning as to how egregiously Big Government will exploit a crisis. But to zillionaire moonbat social engineer Bill Gates, it is an exemplar to be copied when the next pandemic is created.

Squeaks Gates:

“If every country does what Australia did, then you wouldn’t be calling [the next outbreak] a pandemic.”

Draconian Covid restrictions, imposed out of power lust at incalculable cost to the economy, to liberty, to mental well-being, and to public health, were not sufficiently tyrannical to suit the 90-pound plutocrat who favors mauve sweaters.

Gates cited Australia’s Covid response as the gold standard to follow. The country reopened its international borders this week for the first time since March 2020. Over the course of the pandemic, returning citizens and approved international travelers have been required to quarantine in hotels guarded by police and military members. Australia’s states even periodically locked down their respective borders.

Gates is pleased that Australia “executed quarantine policies” — i.e., locked citizens in Covid concentration camps. The heavy hand of the authorities allegedly helped contain Covid up until Omicron overran everything. Gates says every country has the capability to follow the Australian blueprint.

He forgets that Australia is an island nation that started out as a prison colony, with a small, disarmed population largely softened by moonbattery.

It’s one thing if they offer you a vaccine, you weigh the competing risks, and you decide to take it. But if they try to force the vaccine on you, this is the proper reaction:

Maybe if the vet had MSNBC/CNN/PBS/NBC/ABC/CBS on TV in the background, the kitten would have been more compliant. It seems to work on humans.
