A homeless man was injured after he reportedly caught on fire inside Manhattan’s Penn Station on Friday night and investigators are probing the cause of the blaze, authorities and sources said.
He is fortunately in stable condition.
The man told police he believes somebody set him ablaze, claiming he was sleeping and woke up on fire, law enforcement sources said.
Although it is unclear what actually happened, readers are advised to avoid NYC subways and NYC in general until civilization has been restored.

New York state will fine fossil fuel companies a total of $75 billion over the next 25 years to pay for damage caused to the climate under a bill Governor Kathy Hochul signed into law on Thursday.
Fossil fuels companies make our comfortable lives possible. Without them, we would be unable to sustain our current population; many of us would starve. In contrast, Democrats like Hochul do nothing but confiscate our money and make our lives worse. Yet the latter have the whip hand.
If this flies, it will spread:
“New York has fired a shot that will be heard round the world: The companies most responsible for the climate crisis will be held accountable,” New York Senator Liz Krueger, a Democrat who co-sponsored the bill, said in a statement.
In contrast to fair laws, this one will be imposed retroactively:
Fossil fuel companies will be fined based on the amount of greenhouse gases they released into the atmosphere between 2000 and 2018…
Vermont has already passed a similar law.
All human activity produces CO2, which according to liberal ideology is infinitely harmful because it is a threat to life on earth. So Democrats may as well cut to the chase and confiscate everything from everyone. The name for that is Marxism, which is what climate ideology has been about from the beginning.

A migrant from Guatemala was arrested in connection to the heinous death of a woman who was lit on fire and burned to death on a subway train in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday.
Sebastin Zapeta entered the country illegally. He had been arrested previously but was still running loose in our country.
The NYPD said the killing happened at the Stillwell Avenue Subway station in Coney Island at about 7:30 a.m.
Lighter fluid was used to turn the sleeping woman into a torch. This kind of behavior prevails as NYC disintegrates under liberal rule and potential heroes are terrorized by authorities into minding their own business. The Alvin Bragg types in charge want a world of Sebastin Zapetas, not a world of Daniel Pennys.
Now the good news. Leftist Governor Kathy Hochul says the subways are safe:
At 3:40pm Sunday, hours after the story broke, the New York Governor Hochul bizarrely posted photos of herself smiling with straphangers as she praised the safety of the subway lines.
‘In March, I took action to make our subways safer for the millions of people who take the trains each day,’ she said.
Imagine how scary they would be if Hochul hadn’t taken action.

Among the strong messages voters sent in the November election is that people are sick of Democrats devaluing our earnings and savings by driving up inflation with grossly irresponsible spending. New York Governor Kathy Hochul did not get the memo:
Hochul is proposing giving New Yorkers a one-time payment to help deal with inflation.
More government spending to help with the inflation caused by government spending makes as much sense as calling an inflationary Green New Deal spendfest the “Inflation Reduction Act.”
Families making as much as $300,000 will get $500 while individuals earning $150,000 or less will receive $300, Hochul said.
Sounds fair.
The handouts will be paid for through sales taxes. As Hochul’s fellow Democrat Rep. Ritchie Torres notes,
“New York has a Governor who gives with one hand while taking with the other.”
Good thing the Empire State is not an independent country that can print its own money. The currency would be worth the same as Zimbabwe’s.

The main difference between what they did to Derek Chauvin and what they tried to do to Daniel Penny is that by now, not even the most pathetically naive would let the media dupe them into seeing BLM types as the good guys (try as MSNBC might).
A prominent Black Lives Matter activist appeared to threaten Daniel Penny and called for violence after Penny was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide in the death of a deranged homeless man on the New York City subway last year.
Hawk Newsome, who cofounded Black Lives Matter Greater New York and now leads a new activist group called Black Opportunities, shouted “It’s a small world” in the court shortly after the jury acquitted Penny, according to reporters in attendance. At a press conference after the court was dismissed, Newsome said, “We need some black vigilantes. People wanna jump up and choke us and kill us for being loud? How about we do the same?”
That is what a prosecutor might call an explicit call for violence — though not a moonbat prosecutor like Dafna Yoran.

Newsome was an organizer behind protests outside the court each day during the Penny trial. Activists shouted “Murderer, Murderer” and waved signs that said “Convict Daniel Penny.”
Penny’s attorneys suggested the behavior was a form of jury intimidation in court on Monday and asked prosecutors to do more for jurors not to hear their chants. Shortly after that request was denied, Penny was found not guilty on Monday.
Kudos to the jury for showing some guts. They don’t make them like that in Minneapolis. Maybe it is not too late for New York to throw off moonbat rule.

Maybe — but probably not if it is up to prosecutor Dafna Yoran:

Matthew Lee, 57, snuck up on the victim, a former Lehman College professor named Dr. Young Kun Kim, from behind at a Citibank ATM on Broadway on May 13, 2018, video shows.
Lee killed Kim with a punch to the head. Presumably because Lee is black and Kim was Asian, making the former the victim according to leftist ideology, the prosecutor’s heart went out to Lee.
Lee was charged with manslaughter instead of felony murder, reducing his potential sentence from 25 years to life to 10 years.
The same charge as with Penny. Under moonbats like Yoran, murdering an old man in the course of robbing him can be the legal equivalent of defending innocent bystanders from a threatening maniac.
Lee is eligible for parole in 2026. Penny could get 15 years if Yoran is successful.

Adams also effectively acknowledges that the prosecution of the hero Daniel Penny is an outrage:
