Letitia James Loses It Again

The anarchotyrant Letitia James is known for her alarming tantrums. On Saturday, she came unhinged again at a rally by Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in Harlem:

James mainly took aim at efforts by the Trump administration to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse in the Department of Health and Human Services, a department James referred to on at least one occasion as the “Health and Hospitals Association.” …

“And you want me to sit in my seat and stand idly by and allow this craziness to happen?” she screeched, pointing strangely with her thumb and index finger about an inch apart.

James said she instead would sue the federal government — including HHS Sec. Robert Kennedy Jr., whom she called “the guy with a worm in his head”…

Small surprise that James is in an extra foul mood lately. The Federal Housing Finance Agency has accused her of repeatedly committing mortgage fraud — after she exploited New York’s hyperpoliticized system of justice to pin a similar crime on Trump. She has been referred to the Department of Justice for criminal investigation. If someone can light a fire under Pam Bondi, it may turn out that no one is above the law after all.

James made veiled reference to those allegations in her speech to the National Action Network on Saturday, railing, “You can come after me if you want,” as she pounded her chest.

When someone of this character is the attorney general of a major state, the time has come to confront the societal decay that has resulted from moonbattery run amok.

Staggering Waste Under Andrew Cuomo Revealed

Like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees in yet another lame sequel, the erstwhile Love Gov Andrew Cuomo is back from the dead. His fellow moonbats at Newsweek report that he is leading the polls to become the next mayor of New York.

No doubt Mayor Cuomo will help NYC get its financial house in order. Just kidding. A recently released audit report reminds us how irresponsible he was during Covid as governor:

The state government poured $453 million into building an enormous stockpile of medical equipment — and only used 0.000012% of it.

No worries; it’s someone else’s money.

New York bought a staggering 247,343 medical devices, but only wound up using a laughable three pieces of equipment out of the vast horde.

The waste was compounded by letting the equipment rot away in warehouses rather than selling it.

Of the equipment that requires ongoing maintenance, auditors found that 90% of it is past due, with no process or contract in place to handle that need. Failure to keep up with maintenance risks voiding manufacturer warranties, and also rendering the equipment unusable in an emergency.

No doubt the pricey devices will end up in a landfill — where Cuomo’s political career belongs.

The flagrant waste pales in comparison to the lives Cuomo took by forcing nursing homes to admit Covid patients. He may face criminal prosecution for lying about it.

Pro-Hamas Mob Takes Over Grand Central

For generations, New York City’s Grand Central Station has been an iconic symbol of American civilization — which makes this appalling spectacle emblematic of the war from within being waged against it:

Anti-Israel protests shut down New York City’s Grand Central Station on Monday, according to demonstration organizer Within Our Lifetime [WOL].

Jews were warned to avoid this crucial transit hub due to masked and armed Islamic terror supporters.

Activists wearing keffiyehs entered the American landmark waving Palestinian flags and banging drums in response to a global strike called for by Palestinians over the ongoing war in Gaza, WOL leader Nerdeen Kiswani explained in a social media post.

Americans were locked out or trapped inside during rush hour:

With tedious predictability, the sinister pro-Hamas thugs claimed to be the victims, crybullying with improbable claims that projectiles were thrown at them from windows, the police were mean, et cetera.

As for the police actually maintaining law and order — as a New Yorker might say, forget about it:

New York lawmakers are considering a bill that would bar law enforcement officers from conducting traffic stops for minor violations.

Part of the effort behind the proposal is to further “racial equity and public safety,” Fox News reported on Monday.

As the situation unravels, there will be no public safety where liberals are in charge.

Democrat Legislators Join Tesla Takedown

At first Democratic politicians tacitly endorsed the terror campaign to destroy Tesla so as to punish and make an example of Elon Musk for challenging the liberal establishment. Now their support is becoming more explicit.

An upstate New York lawmaker who’s said she’s “disgusted” with Elon Musk is targeting Tesla’s operations.

State Sen. Pat Fahy, an Albany Democrat who’s championed electric vehicles, introduced a bill Wednesday that would yank permits for Tesla’s five in-person sales locations in New York. …

“No matter what we do, we’ve got to take this from Elon Musk,” Fahy said.

Her fellow Democrat, New York State Assemblyman Bobby Carroll, wants an outright ban on Tesla direct sales.

Democrats used to sing a different tune:

Fahy in previous years championed legislation to fully lift restrictions on direct sales by EV makers. That would have benefited Tesla and other EV makers. Fahy said she wanted to see electric vehicle sales take off to cut emissions in New York and help achieve the state’s climate goals.

However, supposed existential crises like climate change are not as important as destroying political enemies who help to scale down Big Government.

Their war on Tesla has made it clear that not even Democrats believe in the global warming hoax, much less that the EVs they subsidize with our money and plan to mandate have any effect on the weather.

New York Imposes Composting

To live under moonbat rule means having every aspect of your life micromanaged by sanctimonious kooks. In New York, this now includes sorting food waste out of your garbage:

Starting April 1, residents will have to separate food waste from trash or risk receiving a $25 fine from the Department of Sanitation. …

Education materials developed by the [New York City Department of Sanitation] establish that food scarps and food-soiled paper should be set aside in compost bins instead of trash bags.

If you pay federal taxes (or hold inflated US currency), you helped pay for this:

[Department spokesperson Vincent] Gragnani said the department also has $2 million in federal funding to spend on advertising about the program.

You thought making people separate “recyclable” material would be enough to placate the Green Police? Nothing will ever be enough, because this isn’t about the climate or the delta smelt. It is about liberals’ ability to make you do whatever they say. After three separate bins for your garbage will come four.

New York Democrats Counter Trump With Tax Threat

New York Democrats enraged over Trump reigning in the federal Leviathan are falling back on their favorite standby — namely, taxation:

Gov. Kathy Hochul and US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand warned that the possible Department of Education eradication President Trump has alluded to will cause property taxes to spike across the state. …

“This is $5.5 billion that the State receives annually from the Department of Education — $3.2 billion goes directly into our budget, $2.3 billion goes to localities. If that money is jeopardized, what I can tell you will happen, localities lose that money, they will have to raise taxes,” Hochul said.

You mean New Yorkers might have to pay to have their children corrupted and indoctrinated rather than educated instead of the rest of the country being forced to finance it? The horror!

Of course, New Yorkers would no longer have to finance the ruining of children’s minds in other parts of the country. But then, other parts of the country might not go along with the Department of Education’s leftist agenda after the federal Swamp has relinquished control of education. That’s what has Hochul so mad.

New York AG: Illegal Not to Do Sex Change on Kids

To prevent it from fragmenting into chaos, the USA has the Supremacy Clause, according to which federal law supersedes state law. Yet local jurisdictions governed by liberals thumb their noses at federal immigration and drug laws. Since they are not forced to, why should local leftists comply with anything federal that does not meet with their approval? A deep blue state might even inflict sex change procedures on children in defiance of a presidential executive order. Flipping everything upside down, a state AG might declare it illegal not to commit these crimes against humanity:

New York Attorney General Letitia James on Monday told hospitals that they would be violating state law if they stop offering gender-affirming care for people under age 19 in response to an executive order from President Donald Trump aimed at curtailing federal funding for such treatments.

According to James, not to disfigure children as sacrifices to LGBTism constitutes discrimination.

No wonder firefighters boo this Soros-installed anarchotyrant.

Never mind making Greenland part of the USA for now. First, let’s focus on reclaiming New York — which under moonbat rule is effectively no longer part of the country.

Conservative lawyer and Trump ally Mike Davis has warned that James’s antics could land her “fat ass in prison.” Interesting times are unfolding.

Democrat Death Spiral Deepens in New York State

The illegal immigration crisis is worse than some realize. Citing data from the Center for Migration Services, a report from Kathy Hochul’s administration acknowledges 470,100 undocumented workers in New York alone, accounting for nearly one in six employees — and that’s just the illegal aliens who have jobs. We are told that the deportations Trump promised will send the state’s economy into a tailspin by depleting manpower.

Few people in the country illegally are involved in high-skilled trades. Says Hochul,

“Most of them work as construction workers, maids/housekeepers, cooks, home and personal care aides, janitors, and delivery drivers, among other occupations.”

Yet for unspecified reasons they cannot be replaced by Americans currently on welfare.

Exacerbating the problem,

Hochul’s report also noted that remote work has contributed to an exodus of New York residents to lower cost states.

Seems like only yesterday Hochul was sneering that New York Republicans should move to Florida — as many have.

Since New York Democrats are worried about the economy, they must be planning to stop spending so much. Or maybe not. Consider the fiscal year 2026 budget:

The budget is a whopping $252 billion, up about $9 billion from the year before, as Hochul advocates for even more government spending and more “redistribution” — a euphemism for confiscating income and giving it to someone who didn’t earn it.

A formerly temporary tax increase will be extended.

These higher tax rates are a key reason why New York is hemorrhaging people at an alarming rate — the fastest rate, in fact, of any state.

At least New York has plenty of clean-burning natural gas it can extract to generate revenue. But I’m forgetting: that would offend the climate.

Meanwhile,

Hochul’s proposed budget also costs taxpayers more than $1 billion in failed “green” energy “investments” that have negative real returns.

Once a city has entered the Democrat Death Spiral — whereby Democrat policies drive out productive citizens, resulting in an ever more Democrat electorate — it is as doomed as formerly wealthy Detroit. As New York has shown, the same applies at the state level.

$89 Billion to Teach Kids Pernicious Rot in New York

New York City public schools are implementing a black studies curriculum called the Education Equity Action Plan, from pre-K to 12th grade, mandatory for all students in the USA’s largest school system. Jared Taylor is unimpressed regarding the effect the action plan is likely to have on test scores:

Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) must be happy about the pre-K lesson devoted to Juneteenth, the federal holiday he created in obeisance to Black Lives Matter race rioters.

Taxpayers are forced to pay for this toxic cultural Marxist BS through the teeth:

New York’s lavish pay, pension and health care plans pushed for by powerful teachers’ unions helped ramp up spending on school districts to a staggering $89 billion…

For $89 billion, imagine how many cans of Raid you could buy. You might even have enough to clean out New York’s educracy, if not the teachers unions.

Teachers in New York State — who are not required to achieve basic literacy because that would be racist — make $92,696 per year on average for what is effectively a part-time job. This is a form of looting as surely as the mostly peaceful protests effectively advocated by John Cornyn.

AT&T Forced to Cancel 5G Home Internet in New York

Moonbattery is often why we can’t have nice things. An example from the People’s Republic of New York:

A new broadband law is going into effect this week in New York state requiring internet provider to offer low-income residents access to monthly broadband rates of $15 for 25Mbps or $20 for 200Mbps. As a response, AT&T has decided that it no longer plans to offer its 5G home internet in the Empire State…

As anyone with even a junior high understanding of economics is probably aware, price controls mean shortages. Ultimately the shortages result in products and services disappearing entirely.

“While we are committed to providing reliable and affordable internet service to customers across the country, New York’s broadband law imposes harmful rate regulations that make it uneconomical for AT&T to invest in and expand our broadband infrastructure in the state,” the company said in a statement provided to CNET.

As it descends into end-stage moonbattery, New York becomes less a part of the USA. Kevin O’Leary has advised against trying to do business there.

If the Empire State were to become its own country, private internet providers would be taxed and regulated out of existence. The government would step in to replace them, resulting in little if any internet service. But at least it would be free, meaning that someone else would be forced to pay for it.
