Our ruling class doesn’t want us thinking about it, but it has been clear for some time that Covid was almost certainly deliberately engineered at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Still more infuriating, its development was probably financed in part with American tax dollars:

Molecular biologist Richard H. Ebright on Wednesday posted a letter from the National Institute of Health (NIH) showing that an NIH grant did fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, contrary to what Dr. Anthony Fauci had testified to the Senate.

Fauci testified to Senators at a hearing in May that the NIH “has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

We already knew that Fauci is a liar. He has admitted that he lies by telling us only what he condescendingly thinks we are ready to hear. Lying from bureaucrats — even the federal government’s most extravagantly overpaid bureaucrat — is to be expected at this point. But lying during Senate testimony is supposed to be a crime even when favored members of the liberal establishment do it.

Do we still have rule of law in this country? Or does the law exist only to punish enemies of Democrats, who are themselves exempt from it? We will have our answer if Fauci is not prosecuted.

As Ben Domenech reported on Fox News Primetime, under Fauci’s direction, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases “funded painful and deadly experiments on dogs” that “endured months of pain, and once researchers were done with them, they were killed.”

Unpleasant as it is to think about, there has to be animal testing for medical science to advance. However, to those who love them, dogs and cats are more persons than they are animals. They are certainly closer to persons than they are to lab rats. Experimentation on man’s best friends has to be necessary to be morally justified.

Justin Goodman, a WCW Project vice president, told Domenech that the testing was likely a case of “not following the science”, adding that the FDA reportedly has said testing on canines isn’t always compatible to human-drug interactions.

“The EPA and the VA have ended dog testing,” he added.

Scientists working in this field might say – as indeed I have said – that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks. …

Within the research community, many have expressed concern that important research progress could come to a halt just because of the fear that someone, somewhere, might attempt to replicate these experiments sloppily.

Dr Fauci says publicly eating or drinking indoors without your mask on is “still not okay.” He also says you have to wear a mask even if you get vaccinated. Maybe you had better make that a double mask — or even a triple.
