New York City has succumbed to end-stage liberalism, a state of societal decay characterized by an incongruous combination of savage lawlessness and authoritarian micromanagement. Regarding the lawlessness, even John Hinckley Jr, a violent maniac who is running around loose despite having shot Ronald Reagan during his presidency, is sensible enough to avoid the place. He has been cashing in on his infamy by performing as a folk singer — but he won’t warble in the rotting Big Apple.

Frets Hinckley:

“I’m afraid of New York City and I just don’t want to go there right now.”

He says NYC is a “dangerous mess” and has “a bad vibe.” He accurately describes the ultraliberal city as a “cesspool of crime.”

Hinckley got away with shooting Reagan and others compliments of the absurd insanity defense. This is revealed as all the more unjust, now that we know he is less crazy than the millions who have yet to escape from New York.

It isn’t enough that decent people be forced to turn over their homes to lowlifes. In ultraliberal New York, homeowners must provide the parasites with free utilities — or face arrest:

Under New York City law, anyone who lives in a home or apartment for at least 30 days can claim squatter’s rights, even if they broke into the property without permission from the owner. …

Several homeowners told CBS that they would be “arrested instantly” if they were to change the locks, evict the squatters, or turn off necessities such as hot water. They are forced to pay for the upkeep of the homes while squatters, many of whom are illegal immigrants, get to live in them for free.

Intolerable? Apparently not, because we all tolerate the same situation by living under a kleptocracy that forces us to provide goods and services for those who did not earn them.

Maybe the anarchotyrannical moonbats running New York are doing us a favor. By shining a klieg light on the moral depravity of liberalism, they might inspire us to defend our property and liberty like our ancestors would have done.

Squatters empowered by liberal anarchotyranny have escalated from stealing people’s houses to murder:

Two squatters are being sought over the gruesome murder of a 52-year-old woman whose body was found stuffed in a duffel bag inside her late mother’s upscale Manhattan apartment last week, police said Thursday.

The victim, Nadia Vitel, was savagely beaten by the two perps when she discovered them holed up inside the 19th-floor apartment on East 31st Street last week, according to cops.

They should have just called the police on her, like squatters normally do to property owners who pester them in New York.

Vitel had gone to her late mom’s apartment — which had been vacant for roughly three to four months — to start prepping it so a family friend could move in.

Her 19-year-old son discovered her body.

The pair, described as a black male and a black female both in their 20s, were then spotted getting into the dead woman’s Lexus SUV…

They crashed it in Pennsylvania. Cops apparently know who they are but won’t identify them publicly.

Under anarchotyranny, 13-year-olds face criminal charges for displaying disapproved attitudes on social media. Meanwhile, law-abiding citizens are at the mercy of criminals. From New York:

[Adele] Andaloro inherited her family’s home in Flushing, Queens after her parents passed away. She was in the process of selling it when she noticed a problem. Someone changed the entire front door and lock of her home.

She managed to get in the house, brandishing her deed to it. Her belongings were gone. Strange men were living there. They called the police on her.

In New York, squatters have rights after 30 days.

Fortunately, the trespassers could not prove they had been there for 30 days, so they were escorted off the property and Andaloro changed the locks. But then:

Less than 10 minutes after police left and the locks were changed, the man who claimed to be the one actually leasing the house showed up with another man police already escorted off the property. They pushed through the front door. …

Police showed up a second time and told Andaloro “he can’t be kicked out, you have to go to court.” …

Because Andaloro changed the locks, they arrested her for unlawful eviction.

Trespasser Brian Rodriguez demanded she pay him money to leave, adding extortion to the crimes for which he will not be punished.

Andaloro now has to attempt to evict the intruders through housing court.

It takes an average of 20 months for an eviction case to have a resolution in New York City, according to the Rent Stabilization Association.

Life under liberals is intolerable, as New York has been making obvious.

Judge Marva Brown … became a Brooklyn civil court judge in November after campaigning as self-described “zealous advocate, compassionate advisor, respected negotiator and skilled litigator,” according to her campaign site.

By “zealous advocate,” she means a zealous advocate for moonbattery.

New York Attorney General Letitia James threatened to seize former President Donald Trump’s New York properties if he can’t come up with the money to pay the $354 million civil fraud fine he was handed down last week by a New York judge.

The judgment is a farce that no reasonable person takes at face value. It signifies the collapse of rule of law into anarchotyranny, whereby hoodlums are allowed to rule the streets while authorities target political opponents over nonexistent crimes.

As businessman Kevin O’Leary observes, it is no longer advisable to do business in New York:

O’Leary, the star “Shark Tank” investor, slammed Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling against Trump in the civil fraud trial. Last Friday, Engoron ordered Trump to pay a penalty of $355 million plus interest — a total of approximately $450 million. The fraud case was brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat who campaigned on targeting Trump. …

According to O’Leary, the ruling demonstrates what he and many other businessmen believed was already true: New York is a “loser state” because of liberal policies, high taxes, and uncompetitive regulation.

“I would never invest in New York now,” he promised.

Assurances from the inept governor that you can still do business in New York so long as liberals don’t especially hate you will not win back investors.

New York’s anarchotyranny has reached the extreme that other states will not extradite criminals there, knowing that the pro-criminal kooks in charge cannot be trusted:

Maricopa County prosecutor Rachel Mitchell said in a press conference Wednesday that [a murder] suspect will instead remain in Arizona.

“Having observed the treatment of violent criminals in the New York area by the Manhattan DA there, Alvin Bragg,” Mitchell said, “I think it’s safer to keep him here and keep him in custody, so that he cannot be out doing this to individuals either in our state, county, or anywhere in the United States.”

The suspect, 26-year-old Saad Almansoori, stands accused of the murder of a 38-year-old woman in New York City earlier this month. He was arrested in Arizona days later, after stabbing a second person.

Bragg was installed in office to advance the liberal agenda by George Soros. Showcasing the astonishing hypocrisy that characterizes leftists, his spokesmoonbat accused Mitchell of “playing political games” by not turning over Almansoori.

For now, Americans can still enter New York without a passport. But I wouldn’t advise it.
