The Biden Regime has it in for Catholics, who continue to be targeted by the FBI. Now it has issued an ultimatum to the top-rated Catholic hospital network in Oklahoma, demanding the removal of a sanctuary candle:

Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK, has kept the candle in question for fifteen consecutive years. The non-profit Saint Francis Health System, which runs the hospital, has kept the tradition of hospital chapels, complete with active sanctuary candles, since they were established in 1960. The network also operates the nearby St. Francis Hospital, which is the largest hospital in the state of Oklahoma.

The federal government never gives away our money for free. Every inflated penny comes with strings attached. Once people become dependent on it, the money becomes leverage to enforce tyrannical demands.

Saint Francis Hospital South, which serves much of the southeastern Tulsa area, is faced with losing accreditation to serve recipients of Medicare, Medicaid, or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), if the Catholic organization does not comply with the administration’s demand.

Attorney Lori Windham sent a letter pleading with HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra to be merciful and not deny low-income patients life-saving healthcare.

Becerra is a self-described “committed Catholic.”

Yeah right. So is the radical abortion and transsexuality advocate Joe Biden. Democrats have only one religion; it is not Christianity.

The attack on First Amendment religious liberty is blatant:

“The Code of Canon Law requires that wherever the Blessed Sacrament is kept, a special lamp must shine continuously,” [Windham] writes. Therefore, if the candle is to be removed, in order to comply with Church doctrine, the Blessed Sacrament must be as well.

I thought the pretext might be global warming, but apparently Democrats are framing it as a safety hazard. If this flies, they might ban communion wafers in case someone chokes on one.

With today’s Democrats, politics is not just a matter of squabbling over policy. We are defending freedom from tyranny, good from evil.

By now we’re familiar with the leftist motto, “The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.” The question is, which revolution?

Many have assumed that the revolution progressives are progressing toward is along the lines of Russia’s. But the obsession with abortion, sexual depravity, and corruption of children suggests a hell even darker than what Lenin and Stalin inflicted.

The revolution from above imposed by our liberal establishment was not described by Alexander Solzhenitsyn in the Gulag Archipelago. It was described by John Milton in Paradise Lost. The original revolutionary was the Devil.

The reason it is useless to argue with leftists is that they are not wrong; they are evil. No wonder the establishment canceled him; Tucker Carlson gets it:

Leftists have been trying to stamp out Christianity since the French Revolution, when moonbats “suppressed the Church, abolished the Catholic monarchy, nationalized Church property, exiled 30,000 priests, and killed hundreds more.” But it’s like playing Whac-a-Mole. You smack it down in one country (e.g., by imposing a $1.2 million fine for not complying with Covid hysteria) and it pops up in another — sometimes where you might least expect it:

The Rev. Johnnie Moore, a member of the U.S. Commission on Religious Freedom, says, “I not only predict the conversion of China to Christianity — it’s much further along than people realize and than the Chinese want to admit. And they’re underestimating it.”

Conservative estimates put the number of Christians at around 100 million.

But Moore believes the number could be as high as 150 million or even 175 million.

Despite generations of repression, there are probably more Christians behind the Bamboo Curtain than there are in blue states in the USA, a traditionally Christian nation.

The leftists running China are reacting to the growth of Christianity just the way Democrats will once they have the political leverage:

In China, some 2,000 church spires and crosses have been torn down. Pastors have been locked up. Bibles have been confiscated.

Bibles have even been rewritten to create more allegiance to the government rather than to Jesus. And hi-tech AI surveillance is meant to intimidate and coerce believers into submission.

Not good enough, ChiCommies. The maniacs conducting the Reign of Terror couldn’t stamp it out. Stalin couldn’t stamp it out. Not even the powerful LGBT lobby can stamp it out, despite employing violence.

Says Moore, “As one theologian once said, five or six centuries ago, the church is an anvil which has worn out many a hammer. And that’s definitely what’s happening in China.”

There may always be moonbattery. But there will also always be hope.
