Last week we acknowledged Pearl Harbor Day. The point was not only to mourn those who died, but to remind ourselves never again to let our enemies sneak up on us. Imagine if the Japanese had been able to inflict something truly devasting — like shutting down 60% of our electric power:

Team Biden announced it will stop production of all new coal plants in the United States.

This comes on the heels of President Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency saying this year it would impose new power-plant emission regulations that are virtually impossible for coal plants to comply with.

That’s only one prong of the attack. They are also coming after natural gas:

Kamala Harris trumpeted the next day new rules to “sharply reduce methane from the oil and natural gas industry.” …

Eliminating methane is a de facto ban on natural-gas power plants.

Natural gas is relatively clean and plentiful. It is largely responsible for keeping the lights on.

These regulations will cause rolling blackouts and brownouts across the country, much like we’ve already seen in California — America’s forerunner of radical anti-fossil fuel policies.

The lights will go out intermittently, and home heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer will have to be turned off or rationed.

Coal provides 20% of our electricity. Natural gas provides 40%. Green energy boondoggles are highly effective at laundering taxpayer money to pay off Democrat campaign donors, but they do not reliably generate energy. Consequently,

Without gas and coal plants, hospitals, schools, the Internet, construction projects and factories will be routinely shut down when unreliable alternative-energy sources like wind and solar power aren’t delivering enough juice.

We could use generators for when there is no power — except that Democrats are coming for those too.

Meanwhile, Democrats are progressively banning real cars, so that transportation will be reliant on the overburdened power grid.

The Biden administration, in other words, wants to nearly double the demands on the electric-grid network at the same time it wants to shut down more than half of the nation’s power generation — and the most reliable sources at that.

The imperial Japanese — like every other enemy America ever faced — were downright benevolent by comparison. But at least Democrats are launching their attack right out in the open. If we don’t stop them, we have no one to blame but ourselves for the pointless poverty, tyranny, and misery they have planned for us.

“Think about the Palestinian side,” the representatives of the Red Cross told Simona, according to KAN. “It’s hard for the Palestinians, they’re being bombed.”

A few words from Vermin Supreme, who is best known for wearing a boot on his head:

“Vermin Supreme will take away your guns … and give you better ones. And these better guns will shoot marshmallows, but they will still be lethal,” he said to laughter in the room.

Democrats have spent $billions upon $billions of our money in the name of getting us to drive dangerous, expensive, inefficient, unreliable, and environmentally harmful electric cars, for reasons they have not divulged but that probably don’t have anything to do with the allegedly problematic climate, which will remain unaffected. What are we getting for the money? Nothing:

The 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act included $7.5 billion to build 500,000 public charging stations across the country. Under the program, states can qualify for as much as 80 percent of the cost to build chargers and bring them online. But as Politico reported this week, not a single charger funded by the program is yet operational.

Nonetheless,

Earlier this year, the Environmental Protection Agency mandated that by 2030, half of all vehicles sold in the U.S. must be electric.

In other words, EPA bureaucrats have mandated that we will be going without cars, in accordance with the totalitarian power evidently bestowed upon them by the US Constitution. There will be nowhere near enough chargers to support them.

“The slow rollout…primarily boils down to the difficulties state agencies and charging companies face in meeting a complex set of contracting requirements and minimum operating standards for the federally-funded chargers, according to interviews with state and EV industry officials,” the article notes.

Too bad vehicles can’t run on red tape. Then our moonbat rulers could offer a viable alternative to normal cars.

No worries. Biden’s bureauweenies can just issue another decree dictating that we must drive electric vehicles whether there are charging stations or not.

Moonbats demand not merely euphemisms but euphemisms for euphemisms. For example, we are no longer to refer to people as “disadvantaged,” but rather as “under-resourced,” regardless of the unexploited resources going to waste due to their dysfunction. “Migration challenge” has been canceled in favor of “migration as a complex phenomenon.”

According to Cathy Hastie, an HR expert and lecturer at the University of Derby, the documents are an acknowledgement by organisations that striving for diversity among its workforce isn’t enough; more important is the culture within it.

It does no good for employees to represent preferred identity groups unless they comply with the assigned ideology. Marginalizing and eventually eradicating whites are long-term objectives to be achieved through immigration and welfare policy. The immediate goal is to fundamentally transform the culture into something unrecognizable.

English language and linguistics lecturer Laura Bailey of University of Kent confirms:

“By changing our language, we can try to change the culture.”

As George Orwell explained, the main purpose of progressively reducing our vocabulary is to “narrow the range of thought.” But as with all things left-wing, sheer malice plays a roll. Moonbats don’t like the English language:

Stores in California will be required to have a gender-neutral section for children “regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys”.

Despite its cities devolving into chaos and decay, California evidently has no greater problems than stores that defy liberal ideology by displaying toys according to whether they mainly appeal to boys or girls.

It comes after California Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation in 2021, with it coming into place on January 1, 2024.

The repellently slick Newsom will likely soon be in a position to do to the whole country what he has been doing to the erstwhile Golden State.

Stores that do not comply will be fined $250 for a first violation. Repeat offenders will face a civil penalty of $500.

It is doubtful the money confiscated will be sufficient to plug the $68 million budget shortfall resulting from lower tax revenues, resulting in turn from excessive taxation and regulation driving businesses out of business or out of the state.

Californian Democratic Congressman Evan Low said: “We need to stop stigmatising what’s acceptable for certain genders and just let kids be kids.”

Democrats like Low “let kids be kids” by using them as political pawns to impose LGBT ideology.

Squeaks the aptly named Low:

“My hope is this bill encourages more businesses across California and the US to avoid reinforcing harmful and outdated stereotypes.”

Acknowledging that boys and girls have different tastes, interests, and proclivities is thoughtcrime. Punishment will escalate so long as anyone can be found committing it.
