It’s not whether you win or lose or how you play the game that counts; it’s what identity boxes you check. So says Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker, whose opinion matters no matter how moronic it might be because he is black:

Baker will pout even if his own team wins, because they aren’t US-born blacks like him. This is unlikely to have a positive effective on the team’s morale.

According to Baker, “we need to do something” about too many players failing to comply with his racial preferences. He implies that it is somehow due to racism and that we should hang our heads in shame.

The percentage of black players in the MLB has declined from 18% in 1991 to 7.2% at the beginning of this season, presumably because blacks are less interested in baseball. This leaves those in charge with the choice of either fielding fewer blacks, or fielding blacks who are less talented than players who are excluded due to their race.

Can you guess which option the woke MLB is going with? Sure you can:

Last summer, for the first time in MLB draft history, four of the first five players selected were Black.

What a coincidence. Not even sports are free from the injustice and mediocrity imposed by Affirmative Action.

All four, along with more than 300 big leaguers, including Atlanta’s Michael Harris II, Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene, Pittsburgh’s Ke’Bryan Hayes and Milwaukee’s Devin Williams, took part in MLB diversity-based initiatives such as the MLB Youth Academy, DREAM Series and the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program.

For some reason, no one cares about racial disparities in the 71% black NFL or 72% black NBA.

Blacks make up 13% if the population. That they are vastly overrepresented in some areas (e.g., advertising) makes it difficult to ensure that they are not underrepresented anywhere else.

Formerly, virtually every major leaguer was a US-born white guy. This is unsurprising, considering that members of America’s core population invented the game. Now, the league openly recruits others to supplant them. A white manager who complained about this would lose his job instantly. Systemic racism cuts only one way.

Why diversity and inclusion should be regarded as “important goals” for the military rather than a security threat given massive Islamic immigration to Britain is not explained.

Successive governments have been challenging all three armed services – the RAF, the army and the Royal Navy – for years to improve their diversity statistics in what has traditionally been a predominantly white, male profession.

Until such a time as robots do the fighting, an effective military will always consist mainly of men. As for the charge that the RAF allows in too many white people, it apparently needs to be noted that Britain is located in Europe.

Senior leaders appear to be prioritising diversity over operational needs, according to defence sources.

Several unnamed city officials told the outlet that the request is clearly an effort to hire more diverse staffers.

The euphemism “diverse” means that whites need not apply for cushy, overpaid, and mostly superfluous government jobs in New York City.

Selecting candidates on the basis of not being white is not likely to work out any better for Adams than it has for Joe Biden, who explicitly chose the laughing stocks Kamala Harris and Ketanji Brown Jackson on that basis.

The American Bar Association favored dropping standardized tests from law school admissions in a newly released memo approved by the organization’s strategic review committee.

The shift in the bar’s position to make standardized admissions tests optional could substantially affect how the Law School Admissions Test, which law school applicants are currently required to complete, is used in law school admissions.

The point is to facilitate discrimination against whites and Asians, in favor of those who may be less qualified but who represent racial groups favored by the liberal ruling class.

Studies have shown significant disparity in LSAT scores across racial groups. A 2019 study found the average score for Black LSAT takers was 142, compared to 153 for white and Asian test takers.

Instead, students might write essays about the hurtfulness of their historical marginalization. No extra credit would be given for proper spelling and grammar, because that would be racist.

Nakita Blocton is not the only Woman of Color to lose her position as judge recently. From New York:

“Based on serious allegations of bias and discrimination, confirmed by an investigation by our Inspector General, Surrogate Court Judge Harriet Thompson has been relieved of her case docket, effective immediately, and the matter referred to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for further action as they deem appropriate,” said Lucian Chalfen, a spokesman for [the Office of Court Administration].

The public was not told the specific reasons she was pried out of power, only that an “extensive investigation” had substantiated “serious allegations of misconduct.”

Ex-Judge Thompson appears to be insane. When the Daily News tried to get her side of the story, she cryptically remarked, “You know what really happened. You know better than I do.” Then she referred to Shabbat, suggesting that Jews have it in for her.

The judge has made unprompted remarks about Judaism at least three times when contacted by a News reporter who has covered dysfunction in Surrogate’s Court for nearly a year.

The identity-obsessed Thompson has a problem with people who hire too many “young white males.” She has also been accused of homophobia, possibly explaining her downfall.

It is hard to believe this woman would have become a judge in a color-blind world of merit. Affirmative Action has played a dangerous role in placing people in positions of authority.

For every Harriet Thompson or Nakita Blocton who is so awful that they are actually removed, there must be dozens more who are merely very bad, and who stay in power for decades.

The problem with exchanging merit for identity politics is that people like Jefferson County, Alabama judge Nakita Blocton end up with power over the rest of us. Fortunately, she has been pulled from the bench.

Blocton’s unprofessional behavior has included calling colleagues names like “Uncle Tom,” leaking information on other judges, abusing her staff, and demanding that employees turn over their private phones so that information that might incriminate her could be deleted. In addition,

Blocton, who was a circuit judge in the Birmingham court’s domestic relations division, also used fake Facebook accounts “to communicate with litigants in a pending domestic-relations case in an effort to affect the outcome of the case,” according to the judgment.

She threatened one party in a divorce case and provided advice to another through the fake accounts, according to the complaint.

“False Prophet How Much Is Your White Judge Paying You,” she wrote to the disfavored party. “THE DEVIL IS WATCHING YOU.”

On the positive side, she is a Woman of Color and evidently left-wing. If that is qualification enough to be Vice President of the United States, surely it is enough to be a judge.

Her lawyer is fighting to keep her on the bench. How long before it becomes impossible to pry people like Nakita Blocton out of power, no matter how conspicuously awful they are?

Boston-based State Street plans to triple the number of minority staff in senior roles by 2023 and is using diverse hiring panels to do so. Under the policy, executives must show that they have made an effort to increase minority representation at the firm or face lower year-end bonuses, according to the Sunday Times, which reported that staff will have to receive “special permission” to hire white men.

State Street denies the “special permission” allegation. Regardless, it is clearly in your interest to avoid hiring white men if you expect a raise.

“All of our leaders have to demonstrate at their annual appraisals what they have done to improve female representation and the number of colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds,” said Jess McNicholas, the bank’s head of inclusion, diversity, and corporate citizenship.

State Street isn’t new at woke politics. The famous Wall Street Charging Bull statue symbolizes a rising stock market. In 2017, State Street commissioned the asinine statue of a “Fearless Girl” facing it down, to pander to feminists. Nor is State Street alone:

Goldman Sachs set a target of having black employees make up 7% of its vice presidents by 2025 and Latinos to comprise 9% of workers in that position. Deutsche Bank has the goal of making 30% of its senior executives women by 2025, up from the 24% that currently occupy those roles.

They don’t need to worry that the pool of qualified candidates won’t conform to these social engineering quotas, because not being a heterosexual white man is the only qualification that matters these days. Nothing else could explain Kamala Harris being placed a heartbeat away from replacing the decrepit Joe Biden.
