The vortex created by the sinking of erstwhile Love Gov Andrew Cuomo has pulled down his dumb brother Chris (a.k.a. Fredo), whose show was sadly the best thing CNN had going for it in terms of ratings. Having recently predicted that Fredo would be back after the holidays, CNN’s media expert Brian Stelter proved wrong once again:

CNN has fired embattled anchor Chris Cuomo after initially placing him on an indefinite suspension.

The network made the announcement after “additional information” reportedly emerged during an investigation resulting from newly released documents that indicated how involved the ex-anchor reportedly was in attempting to protect his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) from scandals — including allegations of sexual harassment.

In the #MeToo era, the allegations of sexual harassment are a much bigger deal than Cuomo killing thousands by forcing nursing homes to accept Covid patients, and then covering it up.

The documents showed that Cuomo appeared to have worked tirelessly alongside his brother’s handlers in order to keep bad publicity at bay, including leaning on media sources who reported on the allegations against his brother.

This makes it too obvious that CNN is a political project, the purpose of which is to manipulate public opinion on behalf of Democrat politicians, so over the gunwale goes Fredo.

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) announced on Tuesday that Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) sexually harassed current and former state employees, violating both federal and state law, as determined by the months-long investigation.

James is a radical leftist. Cuomo may be standing in the way of her ambitions.

The investigation determined that Cuomo and his senior team, on at least one occasion, actively worked to retaliate against a former employee after she stepped forward.

Like Joe Biden exposing himself to female Secret Service agents, Cuomo has allegedly repeatedly molested a State Trooper assigned to protect him. Speaking of Handsy Joe, Biden declared that Cuomo should resign if the investigation were to turn out like it just did. Three House Democrats from New York (Tom Suozzi, Hakeem Jeffries, Gregory Meeks) agree that he should resign.

Rep Elise Stefanik (R-NY) tops that by calling for Cuomo to be arrested. However, he faces no criminal charges from James’ office, even if he did indulge in unlawful sexual harassment and retaliation against multiple victims.

Cuomo shares his guilt with the media establishment:

Several media outlets knew that Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was trying to destroy one of the women who accused him of sexual harassment.

These outlets include the Associated Press, the New York Times, the New York Post, the Hill, CBS, NY1 News, and the New York Daily News.

Someone else in the media went further to protect him — namely, his brother Fredo:

The AG report also included an email in which Chris Cuomo appeared to draft a statement for his brother responding to the allegations. …

The governor gave a speech the same day that the email was sent that was almost identical to the draft his brother wrote for him.

Fredo’s involvement would represent a major conflict of interest for the CNN propagandist — except that no one expects unbiased reporting from CNN.

Characteristically arrogant, the erstwhile Luv Gov denies everything and refuses to step down.

It would be wonderful to see this ham-fisted authoritarian pried loose from power. Seeing who replaces him in a state that has gone off the rails into moonbattery may be less wonderful.

At a presentation Tuesday, Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a “disaster emergency” on gun violence in New York and issued an executive order expediting funding to address the problem, which he called a new “epidemic.”

Coming out of authoritarians like Cuomo, the word “emergency” is as ominous as the term “door to door.” Given the tyranny Cuomo was able to inflict in the name of Covid (at the cost of thousands of lives), it is unsurprising to hear the word “epidemic” in the same context.

“Gun violence is a public health crisis, and we must treat it like one,” intones Cuomo. That means New Yorkers need to brace for a constitutional crisis.

Cuomo pledged $138 million of other people’s money to his new initiative to render New Yorkers defenseless in the face of the violate anarchy he has helped to create.

He praised the pernicious NAACP for attacking the Second Amendment by lobbying for laws intended to ruin gun manufacturers, an approach he plans to emulate by suing them over the misuse of their products. The same strategy might be used to abolish any disfavored industry; the auto industry had better keep the donation checks flowing to Democrats.

Then Cuomo proclaimed the police in need of reform. Echoing ultraleft antipolice rhetoric, he says “It’s time we reimagine” policing. Reimaging policing by replacing cops with social workers is not going to make the streets of NYC safer.

The city and state will remain in a tailspin until the terrible leadership personified by Cuomo is replaced. Fortunately, Cuomo’s tight grip on power could be slipping:

Cuomo’s political quagmires now include accusations that his administration fudged COVID nursing home death data, that he unlawfully appropriated state funds and resources for his multi million-dollar book deal, and that he sexually harassed staffers while in office.

Less fortunately, with sane people leaving the state in droves to escape lockdown lunacy, hyperregulation, stratospheric taxes, escalating violence, and maniacal leadership, the Democrat Death Spiral has taken firm hold. When Cuomo is finally pried out of power, his replacement may be even worse.

Cuomo, along with New York State Democrats, is negotiating a $2.1 billion fund where at least 187,000 illegal aliens and 87,000 felons could receive taxpayer-funded unemployment benefits that mirror state and federal benefits.

Other Dems will appreciate the erstwhile Luv Gov taking good care of the party’s base. They may let him ride out the scandal of killing thousands of seniors by forcing their nursing homes to accept Covid patients, and even the never-ending MeToo allegations that have been piling onto him since.

The payouts are extravagantly generous. Why not? It’s taxpayers’ money, not Cuomo’s.

Illegal alien and felon recipients could receive up to $28,600 a year thanks to the taxpayer-funded benefits, according to analysts. Weekly, illegal aliens and felons could receive $500 a week. For those unemployed since March 2020, recipients could receive on average $12,600.

Plenty of American citizens who never broke the law don’t make that much by working.

Recipients, should the taxpayer-funded program be included in the state budget, could also become secure medical coverage paid for by New York’s public health insurance program.

Other American citizens who never broke the law shell out more for health insurance than they do for food.

Many violent criminals are allowed to run free in New York thanks to bail reform, just as illegal aliens run free thanks to sanctuary policy.

Both of New York’s senators have called upon him to resign over accusations that he behaves toward women with the same bullying boorishness as he does toward everyone else. Boxed into a corner, Joe Biden has been forced to finally take a stand — sort of.

Biden told Democrat apparatchik George Stephanopoulos that Cuomo needs to be investigated, that if his accusers are found to be telling the truth he should resign, that there could be criminal prosecution, and that “A woman should be presumed to be telling the truth.”

Needless to say, this does not apply to Tara Reade, who has made a credible sexual assault allegation against Biden involving digital penetration. This is more serious than the Cuomo #MeToo accusations, which gradually escalated from tasteless banter to groping.

Considering that only a few weeks ago, Cuomo was the “Love Guv,” fawningly promoted by the liberal establishment media, why are the long knives out for him over #MeToo allegations, when the titular POTUS is probably guilty of worse?

Because the issue is never the issue with Democrats. Cuomo has been challenged from even farther left by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who chose to make an issue of what previously only conservatives seemed to know: that Cuomo is responsible for thousands of unnecessary deaths as a result of forcing nursing homes to accept COVID patients.

This is why Cuomo — only recently a leading candidate for US Attorney General — is now a gangrenous limb that must be severed before the infection can spread. Other Democrat governors have killed seniors with the same homicidal policy, including Gavin Newsom of California, Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania, Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, and Phil Murphy of New Jersey.

The plan is to make Cuomo walk the plank, put the radical leftist Letitia James on track to replace him, and hope that everyone forgets about unnecessary nursing home deaths. Sacrificing an individual is no problem for people who believe in achieving power through collectivist ideology.

This would blow up in their faces if the media had the integrity to ask, “What about Tara Reade?”

The concept of habeas corpus protects us from unlawful imprisonment, so that we cannot be locked up by tyrants without due process. Andrew Cuomo and his friends on the Democrat-dominated New York State Assembly have a cure for it: COVID-19. A virus can justify imprisoning whomever they please — for health reasons.

New York State Assembly Bill A416 states the following, via Daily Wire:

The provisions of this section shall be utilized in the event that the governor declares a state of health emergency due to an epidemic of any communicable disease. Upon determining by clear and convincing evidence that the health of others is or may be endangered by a case, contact or carrier, or suspected case, contact or carrier of a contagious disease that, in the opinion of the governor, after consultation with the commissioner, may pose an imminent and significant threat to the public health resulting in severe morbidity or high mortality, the governor or his or her delegee, including, but not limited to the commissioner or the heads of local health departments, may order the removal and/or detention of such a person or of a group of such persons by issuing a single order, identifying such persons either by name or by a reasonably specific description of the individuals or group being detained.

Whole groups can be rounded up and detained. Joseph Stalin might have applied this to kulaks. Adolf Hitler might have applied it to Jews.

The bill says Cuomo has to let you go after 60 days unless he has a court order. Then he has to get extensions. For now.

This is for people who have not even been accused of committing a crime. Actual criminals are set free in the People’s Republic of New York — again because of COVID-19 — with predictable results.

Recall that Cuomo killed thousands by forcing nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients. He is among the last people who should be entrusted with the power to detain the sick and the allegedly sick by decree.

Freedoms aren’t normally lost all at once. Ours are going remarkably fast.

She remains outraged and saddened that her mother-in-law and father-in-law are both dead of the coronavirus because of Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s catastrophic policy of putting sick residents in the same space as healthy ones she told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Cuomo kept that lethal policy in place from March 25 until public outrage finally forced him to back down on May 11. We may never know how many he killed, because New York fudged the numbers.

“It is day-by-day, Tucker” Dean said of dealing with the tragedy “We weren’t able to have a funeral for them or celebrate their life properly. That was very difficult — in the normal way that normal people would mourn: we didn’t have that … And these people are real people. They are not just numbers on a curve.”

Dean is outraged that the story of her loss and thousands of others has not been a focus of media attention.

Even the most ferocious tyrants know what it’s like to be afraid. Aggressively authoritarian New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who killed thousands of elderly people by forcing nursing homes to accept COVID patients, is a case in point. Here’s what scares him:

Cuomo ripped sheriffs in the state who’ve recently declared they won’t be enforcing Cuomo’s COVID-19 restrictions over Thanksgiving — particularly the one that bans gatherings of more than 10 people.

Cuomo, horrified that sheriffs would refuse to enforce his absurd decree…

…said such an attitude “is, frankly, frightening to me as an individual, frightening to democracy.”

That is, Cuomo is scared of resistance.

His next sentence is rich, coming from an arrogantly anti-Constitutional autocrat, who has tried to drive the NRA out of business for defending the Second Amendment and who opposes the First Amendment right to free practice of religion. Cuomo continues:

“It’s arrogant, and it violates your constitutional duty.”

On the contrary, refusal by LEOs to enforce unconstitutional decrees may allow the Second Amendment to survive a Biden Administration. If only Big Tech had American principles too, the First Amendment might also be saved from the coming repression.

Health bureaucrats can exaggerate, mischaracterize, or fabricate the threats, but other agencies may be required to provide muscle:

Noting the [apocryphal] escalation of violence encountered by LGBTQ individuals and spaces, the White House in June announced plans to create an LGBTQI+ Community Safety Partnership led by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in coordination with the U.S. Department of Justice and HHS.

The fist of the Department of Injustice is the FBI, which is already used to investigate and intimidate Americans who speak up at school boards or oppose abortion. People like Craig Robertson and Theodore Deschler have been dying violently in quasi-military FBI raids on their homes. You will use the preferred pronouns of the sexually eccentric if you know what’s best for you.

Levine met with New York City Anti-Violence Project Executive Director Beverly Tillery. Tillery wants the DHS and FBI to “play a role in data collection,” which will have implications “down the road for funding and resources and congressional action.”

[Tillery] noted the “overlay of gun violence with this as well,” especially in communities that do not have strong gun safety laws…

The Second Amendment has already been framed as a “public health” issue by authoritarians like Andrew Cuomo and Michelle Lujan Grisham.

Malcolm X Boulevard. If this were fiction, it would be too heavy-handed.

Kathy “Crazy Eyes” Hochul continues to double down on the worst aspects of the catastrophically awful Andrew Cuomo. The former moonbat heartthrob earned the admiration of famously tolerant liberals when he snarled,

“Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

Under Hochul, it isn’t only “extreme conservatives” failing to toe the liberal line on abortion, gun rights, and the LGBT agenda who are unwelcome in New York. Those who aren’t on the same page as Democrats regarding feminism, “environmental justice,” and union thuggery are also told to leave:

“We’re here to say the era of Trump and [Lee] Zeldin and [Marc] Molinaro — just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong, OK?” Hochul said, according to a transcript of the rally. “Get out of town.” Hochul said the Republican candidates do not “represent our values.”

“You are not New Yorkers,” she said. “We come from a long line of people who fought for women’s rights that happened here first. We fought for environmental justice that happened here first. We fought for labor rights that happened here first. We fought for LGBTQ rights that happened here first.”

If Hochul wants all 5.4 million Republicans to leave the Empire State, she appears to be getting her way:

The Empire State has already lost 1.5 million residents in the past decade, and there’s no sign of that trend letting up. … New Yorkers are leaving, and they’re taking their tax dollars with them.

That could be a problem, considering New York’s $220 billion budget. Unlike Biden, Crazy Eyes can’t just print the money.

New York City residents pay the highest combined state and local personal income tax rate in the nation. Those high taxes and other factors have led to a mass exodus of jobs and job creators.

Those other factors are also consequences of Democrat hegemony: out-of-control Covid tyranny, the collapse of law & order, excessive regulation, et cetera.

It isn’t only Republicans who are giving up on the failing state:

Polling has shown high taxes are the primary reason New Yorkers are considering or making plans to bolt the state — and that’s the case across key subgroups: Democrats, Republicans, liberals, moderates, conservatives, all income groups, all age cohorts beyond age 24 and almost all education levels.

Liberal rule has induced the Democrat Death Spiral: Democrats get elected, they jack up taxes to pay for handouts, productive citizens leave to avoid being looted, those remaining elect still more radical Democrats to get bigger handouts.

This cycle destroyed Detroit, which was once America’s wealthiest city. It is currently destroying the entire state of New York.

If the refugees bring their New York politics with them after they escape, the liberal cancer will continue to metastasize.
