Fox News Christmas Tree Suspect Freed Without Bail

You probably already guessed what would become of Craig Tamanaha, the derelict with a lengthy rap sheet who captured the progressive spirit by setting fire to the patriotically themed 50-foot Christmas tree in front of Fox News headquarters in New York early Wednesday morning. That’s right; released without bail:

[Tamanaha] was freed after his arraignment Wednesday night because his charges were not eligible for bail under new liberal reform laws.

Moonbats whooped with delight to see the tree go up in dense black smoke in front of the building that houses not only Fox News but also the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post.

Arson, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and criminal trespass are among the charges faced by Tamanaha, assuming he ever shows up in court to face them. None of these crimes are considered serious enough in New York to warrant keeping him off the street.

Arson only counts as a big deal if the intent is to harm someone physically or if it is a “hate crime” — i.e., if the victim is a member of an identity group favored by the ruling class. Hatred of Christmas, Christians, and Fox News does not count as hate, because our liberal overlords hate them too.

Two open warrants for desk appearance tickets were also vacated by the judge.

Looks like Tamanaha will have to go full Darrell Brooks before authorities will put him in a cage where he belongs.

Last week, Tamanaha also allegedly exposed himself to a group of reporters outside the Ghislaine Maxwell trial in Manhattan, a photographer told The Post.

He was captured on camera moments after pulling down his pants to show his privates on the first day of the high-profile trial of Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend, said Jeenah Moon, a freelance journalist.

Anarchotyranny (a.k.a. liberalism) is a lousy system for decent, law-abiding citizens forced to subsist under the thumb of Big Government. Stanford: Masks Mandatory, Clothes Optional

At elite universities, the master class tests new extremes of moonbattery that before long will be inflicted on the rest of us. Stanford has taken anarchotyranny so far into the realm of sheer lunacy that wearing a Covid muzzle is mandatory but wearing anything else is not.

Campus Reform reports on the Naked Run, a Stanford tradition, hosted by the Ram’s Head Theatrical Society:

The Stanford Review reports that ahead of this year’s event, students received an email from one of the show’s producers informing them that masks are mandatory, and that they could wear as little clothes as they want, keeping in mind that is a “naked run.” …

Although Stanford has a 95% vaccination rate, the university is still enforcing strict COVID-19 regulations.

The school requires students to wear masks indoors, even if vaxxed. If they are smart enough to get into Stanford, they must be wondering why they bothered to get the vaccine, especially considering that Covid is not as serious for young people. No matter; proof of full vaccination will be required of all students by the end of the year.

Kyle Rittenhouse was forced to defend himself from maniacal criminals who were trying to kill him because the liberal establishment had exploited a clearly justified police shooting to stage riots in Kenosha. They are at it again.

Most of the heavy lifting when it comes to staging riots is done right in front of our faces by the liberal establishment media. But some of the work is more furtive:

Jury deliberations began Tuesday. The next day, Demi Pietchell wrote this:

Between 12 and 1 PM EST earlier today, a Kenosha officer checked a local alley way and verified there are “bricks everywhere.” The audio begins here at the 1:11 mark.

Hmm… preparing for the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict already, are we?

This should all sound familiar because it’s how we got into this mess to begin with….

In 2020, during the Kenosha riots when Kyle Rittenhouse was arrested, mysterious bricks were delivered. In fact, every single city where a riot broke out had stacks and stacks of bricks delivered, seemingly out of nowhere. In most places, security had been disabled so that no one could access security camera videos and see who delivered the bricks in stacks off of trucks on huge pallets.

Every bit of this has been contrived to prop up the liberal narrative, since before a criminal lowlife’s death by fentanyl overdose was exploited as a pretext for rioting.

The Rittenhouse case is crucial to the leftists engineering what we see on television exactly because their victim is so obviously innocent. If they can use jury intimidation to railroad a decent kid who was doing the good deed of protecting people’s property when he was forced to defend his own life, it will be clear that there is no law in this country but the law of the left-wing mob.

Pronoun Lunacy Imposed on New York Utilities

If you live in New York and are wondering why you received an incomprehensible letter from the power company asking about your pronouns, the answer is that moonbattery is a totalitarian ideology, so where it prevails, all human activity must be subordinated to it. Consequently, utility companies have been coercively enlisted in the campaign to impose obeisance to LGBT militants on every facet of private life.

You thought no one could be worse than Andrew Cuomo? The latest lunacy from his replacement:

Kathy Hochul signed a bill Monday that will require utility corporations, municipalities, water-works corporations, and telephone service providers to utilize each customer’s desired name and pronouns in communications.

Here’s how Hochul spends her time instead of dealing with the Empire State’s growing economic and societal problems:

By “correct” she means “politically correct.” She most definitely does not mean “biologically correct.”

This may seem like a frivolous waste of time, but it actually serves a purpose. Hochul and her fellow Democrats are establishing that the government has the power to compel speech, regardless of the First Amendment. It has the power to force people to overtly reject objective reality in favor of official ideology, just like in Orwell’s 1984.

In case legislation requires anyone to ask for my preferred pronouns, I’ll put them on the record in advance. They are “Let’s go Brandon/Let’s go Brandon.”

Speaking of New York, if your kids are “Been there, done that” about Disneyland, you might consider bringing them to the Big Apple. Democrat rule has transformed it into a theme park that offers a preview of our dystopian future if liberalism prevails. Be sure to take a ride on the subway; it is much more of a thrill than any of the rides in a traditional amusement park:

January 6 Versus Department of Interior Attack

Joe Biden doesn’t think much of law enforcement officers, or he would not tolerate a VP who actively raised funds to bail antipolice rioters out of prison so that they could resume their unlawful activities. He likes the Capitol Police though, because they can be exploited in the extended aftermath of the absurdly overhyped January 6 riot. True, some of them posed for selfies with the alleged insurrectionists. But others publicly wept during theatrical political proceedings, so traumatized were they by people trespassing in the People’s House. So Biden tips his hat to them:

Joe Biden participated in the 40th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service [Saturday] in Washington. Hundreds of law enforcement officers gathered to honor the fallen. … President Unity took the opportunity during his speech to turn it into a political one, a one-sided political speech.

As usual, Biden’s speech was largely incoherent. But he did manage to milk January 6 yet again. Via UPI:

During the 22-minute speech, he thanked local police for thwarting the Jan. 6 insurrection where rioters attempted to prevent Congress from certifying the 2020 election.

Biden said he had “no hesitation” awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the Capitol police and D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department. He acknowledged that 150 officers were injured in the attack and five died in its aftermath.

“Because of you, democracy survived,” he said.

This outlandish hyperbole is meant to cover for the fact that despite lies to the contrary, no Capitol Police officers were killed by the rioters. In contrast, unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt was executed in cold blood by unpunished Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd.

Whereas Biden went to rhetorical extremes to exploit the Capitol Riot, he had nothing to say about a similar incident that occurred just last Thursday, when a mob of moonbats broke into and occupied the Bureau of Indian Affairs:

Environmental and indigenous activists protested in front of the White House and in the Bureau of Indian Affairs on Thursday. More than 185 people were arrested between both locations, bringing the total arrested this week to over 530.

The group has been demonstrating in a week-long action known as People vs. Fossil Fuels that began on Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday. They’re demanding an end to the use of fossil fuels and for President Joe Biden to declare a climate emergency.

Their lunatic demands would plunge the economy into total collapse, resulting in the death by starvation of a large percentage of the population. But because the liberal establishment is on the same side, Biden and the media let this lawlessness slide, rather than inflating it into an “insurrection” and throwing protesters into solitary confinement.

According to Interior Department spokeswoman Melissa Schwartz,

“Multiple injuries were sustained by security personnel, and one officer has been transported to a nearby hospital.”

Instead of denouncing the violent protesters as “insurrectionists,” Schwartz squawked that Interior Secretary Deb Haaland “believes strongly in respecting and upholding the right to free speech and peaceful protest.”

Like the protesters, what Haaland really does believe strongly in is moonbattery, as she demonstrated by hoisting the intersectional Progress Pride flag instead of Old Glory on Flag Day.

Sure looks like a moonbat version of January 6:

None of this merits a mention by Biden. Maybe honorary Democrat Liz Cheney and her colleagues will announce an investigation. But don’t hold your breath. As noted by Tristan Justice,

Democrats outright rejected Republicans’ demands to probe rampant political violence throughout last year’s summer of rage, estimated to cause 66 times more damage than the single-day riot at the Capitol.

The Summer of Rage was inflicted by Black Lives Matter and Antifa, who are also on the same page as the Democrat Party.

According to the current rules, leftists are allowed to protest violently. Nonleftists are not even allowed to speak up at school board meetings, or Merrick Garland will sic the FBI on them.

Call 911 on Criminal of Color, Get Fined

Under California-style anarchotyranny, you had better think twice before calling 911 to report a criminal. If the evildoer is a hated Caucasian, all is well and good. But if the scofflaw is a sacred BIPOC and you are not, the authorities may regard you as the transgressor; you could face a heavy fine.

I only wish this were from the Babylon Bee rather than Hot Air:

Out in Santa Cruz County, California, the Board of Supervisors has passed a new municipal ordinance involving 911 calls. They want residents to know that they are free to call the emergency services line if they see something suspicious, but if it involves a person of color, the caller may wind up getting hit with a fine of up to $1,000.

It is also unwise to report criminals who seem the type to engage in establishment-endorsed aberrant sexual activities. Via CBS SF BayArea:

The new law creates civil penalties — up to a thousand dollars — against anyone who reports someone to law enforcement because of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or other legally protected classes.

This lunacy is consistent with critical theory, the religion of our ruling class. According to moonbat doctrine, only heterosexual white men should be viewed as the bad guys. Everyone else is oppressed by them, and incapable of doing wrong so long as they do not betray identity politics by expressing conservative opinions. This was the ideological justification for Democrats supporting the sociopathic War on Police in the name of Black Lives Matter.

Replacing justice with social justice should save on court costs, freeing up more tax money for welfare payments. No one needs to establish who did what to whom. Only respective positions in the cultural Marxist victim hierarchy need be determined.
