At a Leander Independent School District meeting in the Austin area, enraged mom Brandi Burkman pulled back the curtain on the filth made available to kids through the school library — specifically, a work of pedophilia by Jonathan Evison entitled Lawn Boy.

“’What if I told you I touched another guy’s d**k? What if I told you I sucked it? I was 10 years old, but it’s true. I put Doug Goebbel’s d**k in my mouth. I was in fourth grade. It was no big deal, he sucked mine too. And you know what? It wasn’t terrible,’” the mother read to the board. …

“’He talked about old times at the church, but never mentioned our penises or the fact that he never said ten words to me after our little foray in the bushes. Imposing transgenderism and critical race theory on innocent children is a bridge too far for teachers who mean children well.

The American equivalent is to denounce teachers for having “white privilege.” According to liberal dogma, all whites are guilty of this, and any are subject to cancelation if they fail to demonstrate sufficient hatred of their own race. Here as in China, the politically driven malice has escalated to violence.

Cross stood firm and was reinstated by a judge while his lawsuit continues, proving that pushback works. In contrast, apologizing to our version of the Red Guard not only is contemptible but does not work.

They say courage is contagious. Let’s all catch some from Tanner Cross, a phys ed teacher in Loudoun County, Virginia, where the schools have been subverted by leftist social engineers (see here, here, and here). He was suspended for proclaiming his Christian faith as he insisted on referring to students by their biologically correct pronouns.

Instead of issuing the conventional groveling apology, which would then be followed by his formal firing, Cross is fighting back with a lawsuit:

At a school board meeting on May 25, Byron Tanner Cross, a physical education teacher at Leesburg Elementary School, said he will not “affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it’s against my religion. It’s lying to a child. It’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God.”

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is representing Cross and said that two days after making his comments, Cross received a letter stating that he was being placed on administrative leave “pending an investigation of allegations that [he] engaged in conduct that had a disruptive impact on the operations of Leesburg Elementary School.”

The ADF pointed out that this suspension violates his First Amendment rights and requested that Cross be reinstated.

Accustomed to getting their way, leftist educrats refused. So it heads to court.

“I love all of my students, but I would never lie to them, regardless of the consequences,” [Cross] said. “I am a teacher, but I serve God first.”

Is it permissible to call a boy “him” and a girl “her” in contravention of liberal ideology, and even to profess Christian faith at a school board meeting? Or does that conduct have too much of a disruptive impact on progressive social engineering schemes? Stay tuned.

The mortal enemy of excellence is equity, as the Virginia Department of Education demonstrates with plans to eliminate accelerated math prior to the 11th grade, denying bright students a chance to achieve their potential.

Loudoun County school board member Ian Serotkin is appalled:

“[A]s currently planned, this initiative will eliminate ALL math acceleration prior to 11th grade,” he said. “That is not an exaggeration, nor does there appear to be any discretion in how local districts implement this. All 6th graders will take Foundational Concepts 6. All 7th graders will take Foundational Concepts 7. All 10th graders will take Essential Concepts 10. Only in 11th and 12th grade is there any opportunity for choice in higher math courses.”

Classes in algebra and geometry are to be discontinued in grades 8–10. If slower students can’t take the courses, no one should take them.

A Loudoun parent who spoke on the condition of anonymity worried that the changes would “lower standards for all students in the name of equity.”

She was right to insist on anonymity. Parents who are not on board with the leftist education agenda have been targeted for punishment in Loudon County. So have teachers.

Ian Prior is already known as a thought criminal, so he has nothing to lose:

Prior, a Loudoun parent and former Trump administration official, similarly panned the move as a way to “stifle advancement for gifted students and set them back as they prepare for advanced mathematics in college. This is critical race theory in action and parents should be outraged.”

As Prior astutely observes, the concept of equity is a manifestation of the cancer called critical race theory.

The changes come as the state also considered eliminating advanced high school diplomas in an attempt to improve equity.

Liberals conceive of utopia as a mown lawn, where no blade of grass is allowed to grow any taller than the shortest one. This policy may work for maintaining golf courses, but will not produce many Einsteins. It has appeal for our progressive ruling class because to impose equity requires totalitarian control.

An advisory board linked to Virginia’s Loudoun County Public School district (LCPS) demanded that teachers be dismissed if they criticize the district’s equity training inspired by critical race theory.

Kiara Jennings, who leads LCPS’ Minority Student Achievement Advisory Council (MSAAC), emailed the district’s Superintendent, School Board Chair, Equity Committee, and the NAACP asking that teachers not be allowed to speak out against diversity training, even in private feedback surveys.

According to Jennings, negative feedback on the racist brainwashing “should not be tolerated by anyone employed” by the school district.

The MSAAC has vowed to “silence the opposition.”

A proposed speech code would have prevented teachers from objecting to the CRT indoctrination program:

A draft of the proposed speech code would have banned school teachers from criticizing the district’s “commitment to action-oriented equity practices” in all forms of public and personal communication.

This pushed leftist tyranny so far over the line that even a teachers union objected, forcing the district to revise the policy.

LCPS has spent $422,500 in taxpayer funds between 2018-2020 on equity consultants and diversity training inspired by critical race theory…

Yet the MSAAC demands that the district hire yet another equity consultant.

Ideologically recalcitrant teachers are not the only ones in the crosshairs. Current and former Loudoun County teachers have compiled a list of parents to be harassed, intimidated, and/or canceled for objecting to their children being indoctrinated to hate whites.

As part of the liberal establishment, GoFundMe has assisted in suppressing resistance by deactivating a fundraising campaign affiliated with parents pushing back against CRT brainwashing in local schools. Via Legal Insurrection:

Scott Mineo created his GoFundMe in mid-March after a members of a private Facebook group called Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County launched an intimidation campaign against a number of parent groups, including his Parents Against Critical Theory. …

Mineo’s page had raised nearly $4,000 by March 22 when former Loudoun County School Board Equity Committee member Charlotte McConnell urged current committee members and the school board to report the page.

SB 596, introduced by State Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-Glendale), would expand an existing law that punishes those who cause “substantial disorder” in schools to include school board meetings as well.

The bill does not define “substantial,” which can be taken to mean “annoying to our liberal rulers.”

Once it sails through for Gavin Newsom’s signature, this will lighten the load for federal tyrants:

The Biden administration has already come under criticism for colluding with the National School Boards Association (NSBA) to produce a letter urging Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate parents who showed up at school board meetings as if they were domestic terrorists. “Objective and free of bias” in this context can be translated as “devoted to ramming LGBTism down your children’s throats.”

The plan stems from an evaluation of the Webster Groves School District’s (WGSD) entire math program conducted this year. It was presented to the school board last Thursday by Susan Bergman, WGSD’s K-12 math curriculum coordinator. …

Bergman is recommending that WGSD begin to include “they/them pronouns” in its math assignments.

The point is not to educate, but to disorient and indoctrinate. Whether children learn math is unimportant, so long as they question their gender.

WGSD will implement its new plan gradually over the next two years, with district officials closely monitoring its success afterwards.

Success can be gauged by the number of math students who proclaim themselves to be members of the opposite sex, putting themselves on track for chemical and surgical disfigurement.

Meanwhile, in math classes behind the Bamboo Curtain, kids learn math. That’s why our children’s children may grow up speaking Chinese if liberalism isn’t decisively reversed.

In the past, extracurricular school activities were wholesome affairs. Then the Long March Through the Institutions claimed public schools on behalf of leftism. Now, students who sign up for a “leadership and diversity club” in an affluent suburb of Phoenix are asked to explain how they know they are not sexual deviants:

The question was part of a program used by the Unitown Club in the Scottsdale Unified School District to discuss sexual orientation with students, according to emails released by the Arizona Daily Independent. The club’s description contains no reference to sexual education.

In government schools these days, it seems everything has reference to sexual “education” — or rather, depraved sexual indoctrination.

The curriculum, which was created by the organization Anytown Learning, lists 16 discussion questions on sexual orientation, including what students think caused their heterosexuality, how they decided they were heterosexual, why heterosexual relationships are unstable, and whether they had considered that heterosexuality was a phase they would grow out of.

Presumably, the word “biology” would not suffice as an explanation as to what caused a student’s heterosexuality. To progressives, not being a pervert is a diseased condition that must have some morbid etiology.

The sexual orientation exercise also asks students: “Considering the menace of overpopulation, how could the human race survive if everyone were heterosexual?”

Embrace sexual depravity because starting a family would be bad. Once kids have imbibed that message, they can go home to their video games, their liberal education having been completed.

Instead of letting moonbats teach children, why not have criminals do it on a work release basis? Morally and intellectually, it would be an improvement.

The curriculum also encourages students to reject what liberals call their “birth-assigned sex” and to place themselves on a creepy “gender spectrum.”

Anytown Learning describes itself as “a human relations organization dedicated to educating, embracing and empowering leaders to promote social change.” The Unitown program is a high school variation of the organization’s social justice summer camp.

Combine government schools with social justice and you have something that would make a whorehouse suitable for children by comparison.

As for unwoke parents who complain,

Scottsdale Unified School District had previously made national headlines after it was revealed that a member of the district’s school board had compiled a “dossier” full of personal information of parent activists who had expressed displeasure at the district’s efforts to incorporate critical race theory and other controversial programs into student instruction.

Watch your step, Mom and Dad. Merrick Garland might sic the FBI on you. Or volunteer enforcers might find ways to wreck your life.

Rather than recoil in horror from it, Scottsdale Unified School District spokeswoman Kristine Harrington defended the Unitown indoctrination program, noting that it has been there since 1989 and that it is voluntary — unlike similar instruction that is no doubt happening in the district’s classrooms.

WaPo wants Democrat-controlled Big Government to decide what children think — even if their parents wisely get them out of public schools:

Parents can opt out of the public system if they wish, and pay to send their children to private or religious schools. But even there, parental rights remain subject to state regulation and override.

Parents produce the kids, feed them, and raise them. But just as the government ultimately owns your money and only lets you keep a portion at its discretion, it owns your children. It will ensure they think what they are told and grow up to vote obediently for Democrats.

Echoing Psaki at a U.S. Senate committee hearing Thursday, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona slammed the antagonism against school administrators… He expressed concern with the level of animus and aggression exhibited at some school board meetings, calling it “very dangerous.”

Leftists cannot abide parents publicly objecting to what they are doing to children through their control of schools. This is why Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe recently proclaimed that “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” It is why Gavin Newsom blew a gasket over parents speaking up for their kids at schoolboard meetings:
