More 1/6 Protester Arrests; Cash Rewards for BLM Rioters

The Department of Justice has reacted to video revealing that the “insurrection” on January 6 was more peaceful than the average Black Lives Matter demonstration by announcing there will be as many as 1,200 more arrests. A thousand people have already been arrested. Those who did anything remotely worthy of incarceration are already sitting in jail. The Democratic Party is rounding up political prisoners.

In jarring contrast, leftist rioters are not hunted down by federal agents. They are handed cash rewards at the expense of law-abiding taxpayers:

Philadelphia has reached an agreement to pay a total of $9.25 million to more than 200 people who were injured during the police response to protests following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020.

Rioters’ lawyers claim they deserve other people’s money because the zip ties, tear gas, and rubber bullets required to restrain them were hurtful. Some even claim to have suffered mental trauma. The liberals in charge are only too happy to open the public purse.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said in a statement obtained by FOX29 that the “pain and trauma” that police violence and racism have caused Black and Brown Philadelphians is “immeasurable.”

What do you expect in a country where the vice president explicitly raised funds to bail rioters out of jail and called for more riots?

Democrats reward rioting because they want more — so long as it serves to advance their agenda. Otherwise, even peaceful protesters may have their families awakened by FBI agents kicking in the door. This form of government is called “anarchotyranny.”

Weaponization of the justice system has gone well beyond anything someone worthy to be called an American would find tolerable. Under Democrat rule, this is becoming a banana republic. Those familiar with the French and Russian revolutions know what kind of Reign of Terror lays ahead if leftists are allowed to consolidate power further.

Stove Restrictions Expand to Other Appliances

When the plan to ban gas stoves encountered resistance, the Biden Regime pretended to back down, but the ban is back on. Like the planned ban on freelance work, it will be imposed surreptitiously through the Deep State, which does not have to face the wrath of voters. They won’t stop with stoves. Refrigerators, washing machines, and dryers are also deemed offensive to the primitive weather gods worshiped by Democrats.

There would be too much pushback if household appliances were banned outright. Progressivism entails boiling the frog slowly so that it doesn’t jump out of the pot. For now, these devices will just be made more expensive — because according to our rulers’ religion, that will stop the climate from fluctuating.

The administration claimed its new refrigerator and washer-dryer standards would cut carbon dioxide emissions by 233 million metric tons over 30 years. That amounts to 0.02%, two hundredths, of world emissions. In exchange for that virtually nonexistent environmental benefit, consumers will pay upfront costs of $7.58 billion to buy more expensive washers and $6.9 billion for more expensive refrigerators.

If it is worth having, liberals will first make it more expensive, then take it away.

Alarming Nomination Escalates War on Freelancers

We will know we no longer live in any kind of land of the free when the federal government has prevented us from working on an independent basis. This continues to be an objective of the Biden Regime, which wants to throw tens of millions of freelancers out of work on behalf of the unions that purchase power through Democrats.

This tyrannical insanity has already been inflicted in California:

The bill known as AB5 which restricts freelance employment so severely that it’s practically a ban on freelance workers has been blamed for contributing to the mass exodus with California unprecedentedly losing population every year that the law has been in effect.

It is harder to escape leftist policy when it is inflicted at the federal level, as Democrats have been attempting.

Now, Biden has nominated Julie Su, an architect of AB5’s war on freelance workers, as Secretary of Labor. …

California congressional representatives warned that Su’s AB5 has “cost tens of thousands of freelance workers and independent contractors their economic livelihoods.”

This is a big deal, and not only for the freelancers whose lives could be ruined. Senator Tim Scott notes that inflicting AB5 nationwide would “jeopardize more than 85 percent of our nation’s GDP.”

As the Labor Secretary, Su will be in a position to help Biden kill millions of jobs. Eliminating freelance workers was one of Biden’s campaign promises to unions.

A ban on freelancing would throw so many people out of work and wreak such havoc on the supply chain that inflicting it through democratic means has proven difficult. The PRO Act, a federal version of California’s AB5, passed the House when it was under Democrat control but stalled in the Senate. So the Biden Regime wants to inflict it through the Deep State, which does not have to face voters.

While the PRO Act would face congressional challenges, the Biden administration has been trying to use the Labor Department to create a backdoor assault on freelance workers by reclassifying the status of independent contractors under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

That’s where Julie Su will come in.

In California, Julie Su abused her power to terrorize small businesses and drive freelancers out of work, warning that she would be “doing investigations and audits.”

The bigger the government, the more it can hurt those it doesn’t like. Democrats are the Party of Big Government. If you are working class and can’t be forced into a union, they don’t like you.

Under Su, the Labor Department will move forward with forcibly reclassifying freelance workers while auditing and fining anyone who resists. This campaign of terror that began in California will go nationwide. Independent truckers will go out of business leading to further grocery shortages and a collapsing supply chain. Countless other professions will also fall apart.

Personnel is policy. With Biden personnel, the policy is to destroy our freedom and the economy so as to consolidate the power of the Democratic Party.

Profiles in Authoritarianism: Merrick Garland

The Soviet Union had Felix Dzerzhinsky (a.k.a. Iron Felix), head of the Cheka and OGPU, forerunners of the NKVD and KGB. We get the still creepier Democrat apparatchik Merrick Garland.

Democrats wanted Garland to serve as a rubber stamp leftist on the Supreme Court; that was thankfully averted, causing moonbats to wail and gnash their teeth. However, as Attorney General, he oversees our own version of the KGB, the FBI.

Garland is best known for using the FBI to terrorize parents who speak up at school board meetings against their children being subjected to LGBT grooming, antiwhite race hate, and boys in the girls’ restroom. Siccing a heavily armed goon squad on Mark Houck for being a prolife activist is another career milestone.

In the video below, Garland explains to Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) why the FBI investigates the alleged crimes of prolifers but not the epidemic of leftist violence against prolife clinics and Catholic churches:

According to Garland, the FBI tracks down prolife advocates because they commit their thoughtcrimes in daylight, in full view of cameras. Leftist terrorists are harder to catch, because they vandalize and firebomb churches by night.

True enough, evil people tend to perform their deeds in the dark, in contrast to prolife activists, who are of the light. It’s surprising they can get Garland to testify during daylight hours.

On Watchlist for Opposing Porn in School

If you oppose the liberal agenda, you are an enemy of the Democratic Party, which is the party of government. That makes you an enemy of the state. You will be treated accordingly:

Terry Newsome, a Chicago father, was placed on a flight watchlist by President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice after he expressed opposition to pornographic and sexually explicit books in his children’s school library. …

In the summer of 2021, Newsome, along with several other parents in Chicago’s Downers Grove district, merely exercised their First Amendment rights by protesting specific books in children’s libraries.

Progressives have exploited their control of schools to stock the libraries with depraved pornography to advance their social engineering objectives. Attorney General Merrick Garland has sicced the FBI on parents who speak up at school board meetings.

Last December, Newsome found he had been placed on a government watchlist.

Newsome, his family, and a few friends were on their way to Turning Point USA’s Amerifest conference in Arizona when they encountered a problem printing their boarding passes.

He had been designated “quad-S,” which meant he got the extensive screening appropriate for suspected terrorists.

When Newsome finally made it to his gate, he and his family had missed their flight due to all of the extra screenings. Before he could board a new flight, the airline had to get FBI approval for him to fly.

They put him through the wringer again when it was time to come home.

Newsome sent a Freedom of Information request to the FBI asking for more details regarding his experience but they rejected his request, saying the federal government can “neither confirm nor deny whether a particular person is on any terrorist watch list” out of “confidentiality of government.”

As usual with the opaque Deep State, we are left to speculate. It appears Newsome is getting harassed for his political views. As a local spokesman for concerned parents, he had earned the enmity of Rep Sean Casten (D-IL) as well as Antifa, which has replaced the KKK as the terrorist wing of the Democratic Party. Also, he attended the rally on January 6, 2021 that preceded the Democrat answer to the Reichstag fire.

While we can’t confirm that Newsome’s SSSS status is a result of his conservative political views, we know the FBI created a “threat tag” for certain parents voicing their concerns at school board meetings…

How far from here to patriots getting their fingernails pulled out in FBI basements? When conservatives start disappearing during the night, we can assume the worse.

Gas Stove Ban Back On and Here’s Why

When Biden’s hordes of deep state bureauweenies moved to ban gas stoves in the erstwhile Land of the Free, pushback was so adamant that the regime seemed to back off — but only until we stopped paying attention. A ban is back on:

Half of gas stove models sold in the United States today won’t comply with a first-ever efficiency regulation on cooking appliances, according to a new analysis from the Department of Energy. …

That means roughly half the gas stove models purchased across the U.S. today will no longer be eligible for purchase in stores.

They will come for the other half of gas stoves soon afterward.

As Competitive Enterprise Institute efficiency expert Ben Lieberman observes,

“This is a big part of the climate agenda … this effort to stop the use of natural gas.”

Natural gas burns cleanly. It is plentiful, cheap, reliable, and domestically produced. Democrats have openly stated their intention to abolish it along with the rest of the fossil fuels that comprise the lifeblood of any modern economy.

Not everything Democrats do can be attributed to their trademark insanity and malice. They have another distinguishing characteristic — namely, corruption:

The founders of Rewiring America, an environmental advocacy dark money group behind the push to regulate and ban natural gas-powered stoves, have a significant financial stake in the green energy push.

Alex Laskey, Saul Griffith and Ari Matusiak – who together founded Rewiring America in 2020 – have all pursued various wind, solar, electrification and energy efficiency ventures, some of which have netted them millions of dollars in buyouts or received significant federal funding. The three co-founders have simultaneously advocated for policies benefiting those ventures through the nonprofit.

Barack Obama pioneered the use of green energy moonbattery to launder $billions in taxpayer funds to pay off campaign donors. As with his political weaponization of the federal bureaucracy, the practice continues under his idiot understudy Joe Biden.

“It’s a shocking amount of money that they’re hauling in with this scheme of theirs,” Tom Pyle, the president of the Institute for Energy Research, told Fox News Digital in an interview. “I call it Big Green Inc. It is literally a business for these guys and they cloak themselves in the mantra of trying to save the planet. But, really, this is just very sophisticated self-dealing.”

Not even Democrats are delusional enough to think the planet will know the difference if they ban our stoves.

Although Rewiring America has an increasingly more prominent role guiding policies at the state and federal level – it notably had a presence at a Dec. 14 electrification summit and at an event celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act, both at the White House – the group’s donors are shielded from public view. The group doesn’t file federal tax forms since it is sponsored by the Windward Fund, a nonprofit that is part of the billion-dollar dark money network managed by the Washington, D.C.-based Arabella Advisors.

When we allowed the federal government to become so bloated and intrusive that it presumes to tell us what kind of stoves we can use, we made it inevitable that tyranny would be leveraged for corrupt selfish interests.

FBI Targets Traditional Catholics

No wonder the KGB I mean FBI is getting a new HQ twice the size of the Pentagon. It takes a big agency to monitor the many Americans who are Threats to Democracy — like traditional Catholics:

A document released by an FBI whistleblower indicates the agency plans to intensify its “assessment” and “mitigation” of “Radical Traditionalist Catholics” over the next 12 to 24 months due to alleged concerns that “white nationalists” are increasingly making common cause online with attendees of the Latin Mass.

A “white nationalist” can be defined as anyone with pale skin leftists don’t like.

The report alleges that its real motivation is a concern that “Radical Traditionalist Catholic Ideology” possesses an “anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBT, and white supremacy” outlook, and that this presents a threat to the US’s domestic well-being.

Let’s not forget Islamophobic. The report expresses alarm that Catholics have made “crusader references.” According to progressives, the selfless heroes of the Crusades were the bad guys because they attempted to defend Christians in the Holy Lands from Muslim conquerors.

The emphasis on targeting Americans for their religious beliefs may help uncover more public enemies like Mark Houck. Why wait for them to get in an altercation with a moonbat before sending in a SWAT team to terrorize them for their incorrect views?

Among the most controversial aspects of the memo is that it directly cites a defamatory study conducted by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) on the subject “Radical Traditional Catholicism.” The SPLC has long been rejected as a legitimate resource for the FBI, Seraphin says, but in this instance, it is being relied on as a primary source to justify its efforts. The memo also references three anti-Catholic smear articles (here, here, and here) published by leftwing websites Salon and The Atlantic to defend its monitoring.

The SPLC is a hard left hate group that pushes malicious moonbattery to the point of self-parody and beyond. For example, it has denounced the milquetoast-mannered Ben Carson as an “extremist” and has tried to cancel Dr Seuss. It accuses the blog Jihad Watch — which exists to keep an eye on actual violent extremists — of “violent extremism.” According to the SPLC, hate is not hate if you hate people you are supposed to hate, namely Caucasians.

The SPLC directly inspired gay rights terrorist Floyd Lee Corkins to shoot up the offices of the Family Research Council. But doesn’t need misfit maniacs like Corkins anymore.

In our unfolding police state, the SPLC will provide the brains; the FBI will provide the muscle.

Gigantic New FBI Headquarters Twice Size of Pentagon

Its largest structures are an indication of what a society is centered on. For example, the pyramids testify to ancient Egyptians’ focus on the afterlife. American society was founded on the principle of limited government. Tragically, this noble principle was rotted away by leftism. Now, the nucleus is all-powerful, omnipresent centralized government. Its primary enforcement arm is the alarmingly politicized FBI, which is getting a new home befitting its significance:

The massive new building/complex will be, at minimum, double the size of the Pentagon, which, until very recently, was the largest office building on the face of the planet. The Bureau’s new headquarters will be built on one of three selected sites in suburban Virginia and Maryland, all of which are between 58 and 80 acres in size.

This means that the Feds’ new building may potentially end up being even larger than the Kremlin, which covers a staggering 66 acres.

The KGB has been eclipsed by its emulator.

The fact that the FBI, the U.S.’s domestic intelligence and security service and federal law enforcement arm, will soon have a home dwarfing that of the department of defense charged with guaranteeing our national security and protecting us from myriad threats from abroad, speaks volumes about the Biden administration.

If our rulers had any interest in defending the country from foreign threats, the border would be closed in an hour. Our government regards us as its only real enemy.

FBI Victim Mark Houck Found Not Guilty

There is still some America left in this country. Pro-life author Mark Houck, the father of seven whose house was stormed by an FBI SWAT team as punishment for his defense of the unborn, has been found not guilty of violating the FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act, which makes it a federal crime to obstruct access to abortion mills.

If anyone should have been brought up on charges, it is the FBI for abuse of power:

The early-morning FBI raid on Houck’s home included battering rams and ballistic shields at the ready and was committed even after Houck’s attorney had told the U.S. Department of Justice Houck would turn himself in if they asked. Since his arrest in September 2022, Houck and his lawyers maintained “This case is being brought solely to intimidate people of faith and pro-life Americans.”

That is as obvious as the ham-fisted authoritarian theater staged by the Biden Regime.

Houck is now freed from the threat of “a maximum possible sentence of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $350,000.”

However, the point has been made that goons can drag you from your home to face serious charges on the flimsiest pretext.

After weeks of ignoring pro-abortion violence and threats against pro-life pregnancy support centers across the nation, dozens of FBI agents arrested Houck in front of his wife and seven children in a raid at his home in September. When Houck’s wife recounted that “they had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house,” the FBI defended their “guns out and ready” positions as necessary.

Necessary to make the point.

Regarding the supposed violation of the FACE act, Houck was 100 feet away and across the street from a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood plant when he was assailed by a pro-abortion activist serving as what moonbats call a patient escort:

The “patient escort,” Bruce Love, repeatedly initiated profanity-laced verbal confrontations with Houck and his son, Mark Houck Jr., said court documents. The documents also say Houck asked Love to stop multiple times, to no avail. On Oct. 13, 2021, when Love escalated by invading Mark Jr.’s personal space, Houck Sr. shoved him away.

For that, he got the full Gestapo treatment from Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and the FBI — but fortunately not from a court of law.

Houck lucked out because leftists have not finished consolidating power.

Bill Would Criminalize Criticism of Non-Whites

Sheila Jackson Lee’s hatred of America’s core population and determination to snuff out fundamental liberties make her the quintessential Democrat. She has introduced the quintessential Democrat legislation. It criminalizes “conspiracy to commit white supremacy.” This includes criticism of non-whites:

The legislation, H.R.61 “Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023,” introduced last Monday by Democratic congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, seeks to “prevent and prosecute white supremacy inspired hate crime and conspiracy to commit white supremacy inspired hate crime.”

The bill defines conspiracy to commit white supremacy as “advancing white supremacy, white supremacist ideology, antagonism based on ‘replacement theory’, or hate speech that vilifies or is otherwise directed against any non-White person or group.”

Needless to say, Chuck Schumer will get a pass for admitting that “replacement theory” is not theory but a Democrat strategy to replace the American population. Laws like this are meant to be enforced selectively.

If you think Merrick Garland’s Injustice Department and its FBI enforcement arm are scary now, stand by:

[The bill] also calls for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to gain “authority to conduct operations and activities pursuant” to what it deems “necessary and appropriate to interdict, mitigate, or prevent such action from culminating in violent activity.”

Just as liberals regard Black Lives Matter and Antifa violence as speech, they regard speech they disagree with as violence. But there is no need to wait for actual bloodshed when the FBI can take steps to prevent it by suppressing speech alleged to encourage it.

The First Amendment will not last much longer than the Second if Democrats consolidate power.
