Among the most conspicuous qualities of the liberal ruling class that controls institutions like entertainment is its insufferable snobbery. This is personified by Jimmy Kimmel, who informs us that Markwayne Mullin is unqualified to be DHS Secretary due to having a working class background.

The late-night host took a shot at newly confirmed DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who used to run a plumbing business, by saying, “We have a plumber now protecting us from terrorism.”

As those who have had plumbing issues can confirm, one plumber is worth any number of late night talk show moonbats. Their problem-solving skills would be valuable in Mullin’s new position.

Not that Mullin was really a plumber. He dropped out of college to take over his ailing father’s operation and built it into the largest plumbing business in Oklahoma. But it can’t be ruled out that he ever worked with his hands, so Kimmel sneers at him.

Chuck Norris was a great cultural icon. The liberal entertainment media proves it by denouncing him for personifying American strength. Via Variety:

Given our nation’s divisions in morality, information literacy and overall sense of reality, it’s easier to see Norris’ characters as justification for a fringe conspiracy movement rather than a moral standing. When patriotism and laws shift away from the Constitution, what side does a gunslinger land on?

While Hollywood takes endless shots for being too liberal or left-leaning, it’s a short-sighted criticism considering the industry’s decades of glorifying American military strength. Ultimately, genre fans can appreciate Norris as a larger-than-life marquee figure. But it’s a unique twist on separating the art from the artist: When a star is the poster boy for American exceptionalism and might, at what point does his legacy transition from escapism to dangerous propaganda?

Pricey Tickets for Bruce Springsteen’s Lefty Politics Tour

Moonbattery is big business. Those who know how to exploit it rake in the big bucks. The deafeningly woke Bruce Springsteen has launched an anti-MAGA tour.

“We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times,” Springsteen said in a video posted on social media. “But do not despair, the cavalry is coming. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C., for the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.” …

The tour announcement comes a few weeks after the release of his latest song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” a protest tune that criticizes President Donald Trump and his administration’s deployment of thousands of federal agents to crack down on illegal immigration in the blue-leaning state.

Springsteen wraps his ultraleft politics in phony pro-American and pro-democracy rhetoric. Meanwhile, he recently denounced America’s democratically elected president to an audience abroad as “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous.”

Watching this worn-out moonbat posture does not come cheap:

“$1000 for upper seats,” a longtime fan commented. “Really he was the one fighting this and now you cannot get tickets at a decent price. I’ve always had floor seats (26 concerts of his) and now floor seats are $7k. I don’t think I’m using a mortgage payment on seats.”

Fools and their money are soon parted on the resale ticket market. But even base prices cost as much as $399 plus fees.

So much for the “affordability” his party has been campaigning on. At least Springsteen can afford whatever he wants. He can even afford the liberal elite’s Marxist politics.

Moonbat Actress Says We Want Tasteless Art Because Autocracy

Where the liberal media meets the realm of woke actresses, there you will find moonbattery at its most toxic concentration.

On the final block of Tuesday’s Morning Joe, actress Carrie Coon, best known for her role in The White Lotus, promoted her performance in the Broadway play Bug by use of political parallels and complaints about conspiracies as she proclaimed audiences were yearning for “darkness, for irreverence, for nudity, for blood” in the face of America’s purported “autocracy.”

Considering how loudly they bark about not liking the president, how can left-wingers in the arts community claim to be oppressed by autocracy? Because the Party of Government is not currently in charge and consequently some of the coercive funding by which they feed off taxpayers on an involuntary basis has been reduced.

Ms. Loon also informs us that…

“…art has a responsibility in times like these. And when you start to experience the repression of autocracy, art rises up and starts to get more irreverent and more gross and more in-your-face.”

She sees this as “a necessary correction.”

Needless to say, there isn’t any irreverent art in an actual autocracy, since artists can only attack what the regime wants them to. Or maybe we do need to say it, with propaganda outlets like MS Now platforming pernicious morons like Carrie Coon.

Classic movies resonate because they reflect what we understand in our guts to be true. Silence of the Lambs featured Buffalo Bill, a transgender serial killer who skinned women so he could wear their skin. Driven by the liberal establishment’s promotion of LGBTism, the rapidly expanding Transsexual Violence Hall of Horrors has confirmed the movie’s underlying insight. Yet now Hollyweird apologizes for it.

Levine did not have concerns while making the movie but has developed a fuller understanding of the trans experience in the ensuing decades. “[It’s] just over time and having gotten aware and worked with trans folks, and understanding a bit more about the culture and the reality of the meaning of gender,” says the actor… “It’s unfortunate that the film vilified that, and it’s f[*]cking wrong.”

They never should have cast Buffalo Bill in a bad light. Transphobia is thoughtcrime. It is “f*cking wrong.”

Silence of the Lambs came out 35 years ago this month.

It became the year’s fifth-highest-grossing title, collecting $272 million globally ($659 million today), and was just the third feature in history to win the “big five” Oscars: best picture, director, actor, actress and screenplay.

But you couldn’t make Silence of the Lambs today. It rings too true.

Effete Hollyweird Weenie Giancarlo Esposito Calls for Violent Revolution

Tinseltown leftists have exploited their cultural capital to the fullest in their efforts to ruin our country. It would be nice to think that by now they have expended it. Imagine anyone who isn’t already a rabid moonbat having a use for the opinions of actor Giancarlo Esposito.

“Breaking Bad” star Giancarlo Esposito said it’s time for the American people to stage a “revolution,” which he anticipates would be worth the “500 or 50 million” deaths.

Esposito barks that “Some very rich old white men are exerting their power to suppress our own people.” The alleged oppression of “our own people” evidently refers to the enforcement of immigration law, to which Democrats are violently opposed because demographic displacement is the cornerstone of their strategy to achieve single-party rule, as they already have in California.

Esposito says that after 500 or 50 million of us have died, “the rest of us would survive with a new [world].” This thinking has precedent with his fellow leftists. Their seizure of power killed as many as 25 million in Russia and 70 million in China.

All the same, calls for violent revolution can be hard to take seriously, coming from this pampered joke of a lifeform:

The liberal establishment tells us moonbats like Giancarlo Esposito are appealing and worth listening to. Alternatives to the culture we are presented with will emerge.
