The many statues that were defaced or destroyed by Black Lives Matter mobs with the approval of the liberal establishment were only the beginning. The individuals they memorialized were targeted because they personify the heritage that defines us. Leftists intend to eradicate that heritage. Now the termites comprising the federal bureaucracy have targeted the National Archives Rotunda, where the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution are displayed:

Amid racial unrest last summer, Archivist of the United States David S. Ferrier established a racism task force at the National Archives and Records Administration.

That is, the task force was intended to reward the race riots that Democrats egged on at every turn. In compliance with our state religion, it found objectionable whiteness everywhere it looked.

According to the report, the National Archives Rotunda “lauds wealthy White men in the nation’s founding while marginalizing BIPOC [Black, Indigenous and other People of Color], women, and other communities.”

Since the Founding Fathers were not BIPOCs, they are to be demonized and eventually erased, along with their works — i.e., the country they created. There is zero chance that the country leftists plan to impose in its place will be an improvement.

After Muslims finally managed to conquer Constantinople in 1453, Hagia Sophia, the Vatican of the East, was blasphemously transformed into a mosque. Liberals have something comparable in mind for the Rotunda:

To fix the displays of “structural racism,” the report suggested ways to “reimagine the Rotunda” to “create a more inclusive and historically accurate tribute to the nation’s founding.” One such suggestion is “to stage dance or performance art in the space that invites dialogue about the ways that the United States has mythologized the founding era.”

Eventually, the Rotunda will be transformed into a monument to moonbattery. In the meantime, the report recommends “trigger warnings” to “forewarn audiences of content that may cause intense physiological and psychological symptoms,” as well as safe spaces at every NARA facility to help moonbats recover from the trauma resulting from being exposed to documents and exhibits that define their country.

The report singles out the author of the Declaration of Independence for condemnation because Thomas Jefferson encouraged America to expand westward.

Ferriero was appointed by Barack Obama. Putting people like him in charge of preserving our heritage is the equivalent of choosing a pyromaniac to run the fire department. If progressives are not driven from power, they will destroy everything worthy of preservation.

It is strictly forbidden not to find appealing those who define themselves as transsexuals. At a minimum, they must be treated with obsequious displays of respect. A case in point is a guy who calls himself Chelsea Wolfe. He has qualified as an alternate for the US BMX Freestyle team in the 2020 Olympics — as a woman. Wolfe is particularly motivated to win a medal, for a reason he explained on Facebook:

When Trump was President, Wolfe expressed a desire to kill him “with dynamite.” The media will pull for Wolfe enthusiastically if he rides in the Olympics.

Most outrageously of all, Wolfe proclaims that he is “a woman just like any other” — despite not being a woman at all. Moonbats want to tear down more than America. They want to tear down reality itself.

A man in a car allegedly drove up to a police officer in Michigan who was working a Juneteenth parade and opened fire on the officer.

“Upon investigation, the Flint Police Officer was working a traffic point at the Juneteenth Champions Parade when an individual in a vehicle drove up and shot at the officer,” NBC 25 reported.

The Black Lives Matter agenda isn’t only about waging war on the police. It is also about wallowing in the anarchy that results when the police have been defunded, hamstrung, marginalized, and demoralized. In California:

A fatal shooting at Lake Merritt, Oakland, left a 22-year-old man dead and five others injured on Saturday during an event to mark Juneteenth.

In North Carolina:

An emergency responder was shot while on duty during a Juneteenth event at Roberts Park in Raleigh. …

The EMS worker was assisting with a medical call for a child who was at Roberts Park.

While the responder was walking back to his vehicle, multiple shots were fired across the park. Those bullets hit the ambulance and the emergency responder, according to officials.

In New Jersey:

A celebration gave way to rioting in Long Branch, New Jersey. Hundreds of people took to the streets in a Juneteenth celebration that quickly turned violent, the Lakewood Scoop reported.

Police in full riot gear had to be dispatched to the area in order to quell the unrest. The reasoning for the riot is unknown at this time.

Unknown? It was Juneteenth!

In Pennsylvania:

Police are investigating a triple shooting in West Philadelphia that left two men dead and a 3-year-old child injured.

At last word, no arrests had been made in Philadelphia. However, there is a silver lining. The aptly named Danielle Outlaw is Philadelphia Police Commissioner. Her qualifications consist mainly of being a black woman, but in addition, she used to be Chief of Police in infamously anarchic Portland. Ms. Outlaw was able to promote progress by shoehorning the violence into a politically correct context:

“As many of us began the day celebrating Juneteenth for the first time as a Federally recognized holiday, we again found ourselves lamenting as an otherwise beautiful afternoon had been sullied with gun violence. …

Every act of gun violence is tragic. …

While holiday celebrations will continue throughout the city, our investigators will work tirelessly to bring justice to all of those affected by the scourge of gun violence.”

The guns did it, not the criminal lowlifes police are no longer allowed to keep under control. After the same Democrats who unleashed this chaos by siding with rioters against the police confiscate firearms from law-abiding citizens, all will be well.

I hope you enjoy violence, chaos, and moonbattery more than the barbecues, fireworks, and patriotism that have traditionally marked the Fourth of July, because that is the holiday Juneteenth was fabricated to displace from the calendar. For example, a day devoted to racial guilt has been put forth to eventually displace the Fourth of July. The Senate passed a bill yesterday to make Juneteenth a federal holiday:

The resolution, introduced by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, passed by unanimous consent. House lawmakers are also expected to approve the bipartisan legislation.

Sure they will. It may even be unanimous again.

Note that Cornyn sports an “R” after his name. He didn’t just fail to resist this obscene gesture — he sponsored it. The company of the radical leftists Markey and Jackson Lee doesn’t bother him. Maybe he thinks he can get liberals to vote Republican.

In the past year, black supremacists and their fellow travelers have rioted many hundreds of times, injuring thousands of police officers and causing $billions in damages. The response by the US Senate is to reward them by devoting a national holiday to obsessing on the oppression of their distant ancestors, which is the fulcrum of reality according to their toxic ideology.

The inevitable result of rewarding the worst rioting in American history will be more riots whenever a pretext presents itself.

The bill appears to have been explicitly intended as an offering to the rioters:

The Cornyn-backed bill was first introduced in the Senate in 2020 following nationwide protests against racial injustice after the death of George Floyd.

Out of 100 senators, the closest to a patriot is Ron Johnson (R-WI).

Johnson was the lone senator to object to the legislation, arguing in July 2020 that the bill would place an undue burden on taxpayers by requiring them to fund another paid holiday for federal employees.

Rather than defend American history from the propaganda war leftists are waging against it, Johnson pointed out that yet another day off for federal parasites would cost taxpayers $600 million per year. Then he dropped his objection, confirming that there is not even one member of the Senate willing to stand up for his country against political correctness.

Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union Army general Gordon Granger declared the abolishment of slavery in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.

That was a positive development in 1865. Abruptly making it into a federal holiday 156 years later is the farthest thing from positive. The purpose is to tighten the focus on slavery as the only meaningful aspect of American history, in accordance with the 1619 Project, critical race theory, and the endless stream of anti-Caucasian, anti-American bile vomited onto us by the schools, the media, and the government.

Out of a population of 46.8 million blacks, there are bound to be a few unfortunate incidents involving police. Few if any in recent memory involved deliberate killing. First listed is of course George Floyd.

King goes on to shriek about lynching that occurred more than a century ago, as if this casts the sacrifice of servicemembers into comparative insignificance.

Memorial Day is as good a time as ever to also commemorate the other fallen — precious Black lives that mattered, as least to some of us.

Since the Passion of George Floyd occurred on Memorial Day, we can expect that under liberal rule the day will increasingly honor the anti-American ideology he has come to personify. Every year Black Lives Matter flags will cancel out Old Glory on flagpoles above US embassies around the world, as they are currently.

Those holidays that cannot be repurposed will be killed by increments. For example, the Biden Administration has nixed the annual July 4 fireworks display at Mount Rushmore. Thanksgiving and Easter will be progressively deprecated on grounds of “racism” and “homophobia.” If leftists prevail, no trace will survive of the civilization so many have died to defend.

Executive Order 13978, signed Jan. 18 by former President Donald Trump, directed a task force to construct a statuary park populated with sculptures of important figures in American history. Trump enacted the order in response to calls to dismantle monuments and landmarks commemorating Americans who played major roles in the nation’s development.

That dismantling has been effected on an impromptu basis throughout the country by Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs, who have defaced and destroyed statues of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and others to express a ferocious hatred of America to which Biden and his party are eager to pander.

Executive orders are easily rescinded by more executive orders. This will be a wonderful thing if the For the People Act is defeated, because if we have fair elections a Republican president will be able to do away with the avalanche of EOs Biden’s radical handlers have placed before him. It is not such a wonderful thing with Democrats in power. On Friday, Biden signed an order nixing the National Garden of American Heroes, putting an end to a national project for the “restoration, veneration, and celebration” of those who created our great nation.

Critics claimed that these monuments highlighted controversial personalities, such as certain Founding Fathers, with a record of wrongdoing that shouldn’t be celebrated.

If they can dupe us into rejecting our own Founding Fathers, liberals have killed America.

The National Garden was set to feature influential Americans including John Adams, Muhammad Ali, Andrew Carnegie, Frederick Douglass, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Milton Friedman, Andrew Jackson, and Franklin D. Roosevelt, among many others, according to the order.

Note that it included heroes of the Left, like the socialist tyrant FDR and the anti-American draft dodger Muhammad Ali. Not good enough. It also included people leftists hate for not being leftists. All such people are to be canceled, not honored.

Biden’s handlers are likely to reverse any Trump executive order out of juvenile spite. Five other ones were revoked on Friday. It is surprising they didn’t get around to killing the National Garden sooner, given their intolerance toward American tradition.

In its place, they might create a National Garden of Sociopathic Lowlifes, featuring statues of the dead criminals the liberal establishment demands we revere.

Trump pulled us out of the Orwellian Human Rights Council because it is a disgusting farce, dominated by some of the most repressive regimes on the planet, currently including communist China and Cuba.

Screeches Thomas-Greenfield:

“We have to acknowledge that we are an imperfect union and have been since the beginning…”

She then rambled about how it tough it was to be black in the South generations ago, thereby proving that America stinks and should grovel before more enlightened countries.

“I’ve seen for myself how the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles,” she added without offering any explanation.

Our representative to the rest of the world denounces the founding documents that define our country. No one who finds this acceptable deserves to be called an American.

The book would be based on two principles: (1) never turn against yourself and (2) never be a victim.

A house divided against itself cannot stand. No matter how strong you could be if you took your own side, turn against yourself and you are weak.

Being a victim is a mindset and a matter of choice. No matter how easy you have it, you have the option of declaring yourself a victim and sniveling contemptibly, as certain identity groups prove constantly. No matter how bad a hand life deals you, you have the option of refusing to be a victim, of taking responsibility for dealing with obstacles and hardships as best you can. A victim loathes himself and is at the mercy of forces beyond his control. A nonvictim respects himself and is master of his own fate.

This applies at a national level, as the Baker op-ed illustrates:

Instead, it insists, like those Chinese Communists, that all along this claim to a unique status in the world has been a fraud, mere sloganeering behind which America has been—and remains—a force for repression and exploitation.

Turned against itself by woke ideology, the Land of Liberty bows its head humbly before the moral superiority of a totalitarian regime that killed tens of millions under Mao and keeps slaves in concentration camps to this day.

How can a nation prevail in a global ideological struggle when its leaders believe its values are intrinsically evil?

It can’t and it won’t.

Regarding the corrosive victim mentality at the heart of all things politically correct,

When NBA players put an increased focus on [hard left radicalism] while playing at the Walt Disney World bubble, Cuban became one of their biggest supporters.

The NBA has announced that all of its teams will play the national anthem before games, “in keeping with longstanding league policy.” The statement appears to be a direct response to Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban telling his team to stop playing the song before games.

Following blowback for not playing the national anthem before games, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he did not “cancel” the song…

Cuban told ESPN’s “The Jump” that the team was having ongoing conversations about whether to play “The Star Spangled Banner,” but that “we probably would have ended up playing it at some point when fans came back.”

There were fans Monday night, but the anthem wasn’t played. However, following the NBA’s order,

The Mavericks played the national anthem before Wednesday’s game and all players appeared to stand. Several fans cheered afterward.

This country isn’t dead yet, despite the efforts of moonbats. Even among NBA fans, love of the USA probably tops politically correct hatred of it. Only firm control of the media makes the Democrat Party viable.

The leftist ruling class has no reverence for or even comprehension of what they are destroying. If the great composer Richard Wagner can be dismissed as a “buttmunch” at the University of Cambridge, why shouldn’t George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Benjamin Franklin be characterized as “douche nozzles” by the knuckle-dragging wokesters who write Stephen Colbert’s “jokes”?

Colbert crows with delight that Andrew Jackson will be replaced on the $20 bill by someone more politically correct:

“So it looks like Tubman is on her way to the 20. That’s pretty great, right?”

But John Thibodeaux, who writes for the show, is not satisfied. US currency is not good enough for Harriet Tubman if she has to share it with the malefactors who built our nation.

Barks Thibodeaux,

“She repeatedly risked her life for other people’s freedom and now we’re asking her to hang out with those douche-nozzles? She needs a squad! I’m talking Frederick Douglass on the one, Rosa Parks on the five, W.E.B Dubois on the hundo.”

W.E.B. Dubois wanted to impose the antithesis of the nation that Washington, Lincoln, Franklin, and other maligned giants of American history bequeathed to us. He was a communist.

Viewing what we are told is our culture through the lens of network television is like watching barbarians sack Rome or Byzantium. Crude, malevolent fools grunt and smash where great men once flourished.
