Maniac Released in NYC Then Kills Elderly Teacher

Zohran Mamdani has pledged to close Rikers Island. The sort of liberals who control New York City don’t believe in incarceration. They prefer to provide criminals with mental health treatment as determined to be needed. The New York Post provides yet another example of how that works out for regular people trying to go about their lives:

Rhamell Burke — a 32-year-old serial troublemaker who has been arrested four times since February — mysteriously walked free from Bellevue Hospital about an hour after cops cuffed him and checked him in as an “emotionally disturbed person” around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, according to police.

The violent brute was released around 4:40 p.m. — and launched his fatal attack on 76-year-old stranger Ross Falzone, who worked as a teacher, at a Chelsea subway station about five hours later, while still sporting his hospital bracelet.

Surveillance video allegedly shows Burke hurling Falzone down the steps leading to the station at West 18th Street and 7th Avenue.

Falzone landed on his head about halfway down the stairs and suffered a traumatic brain injury, right rib fracture and spinal fracture, cops said.

He died. Moonbats can’t make a social justice omelet without breaking a few eggs.

Blue State Taxman Comes After Those Trying to Escape

You can check out of Hotel California any time you like — but the taxman might never let you leave.

From the Daily Mail:

Americans moving out of California say state bureaucrats are demanding they explain why they left, or risk being taxed as residents.

Some have received letters demanding various evidence of their departure…

Last year, California collected about $275 billion in personal income, sales and corporate taxes. But that does not suffice when Newsom et al. are paying indefinitely for bridges to nowhere, trains to nowhere, 911 emergency lines to nowhere, et cetera.

Officials evaluate a taxpayer’s ‘closest connections’ to determine residency, looking at where they spend their time, where they own or rent property and where their financial and personal ties are strongest. …

Maintaining significant ties to California – even after a move – can trigger further scrutiny.

New York is even worse:

Under the domicile test, officials assess where a person’s closest personal and professional ties are located.

If those ties remain in New York, the state can still treat someone as a resident even if their primary home is elsewhere…

At this point it would be advisable for those who do not wish to be looted to avoid setting foot in California, New York, or anywhere else Democrats have consolidated power.

Man Ejected From Ladies’ Restroom Sues

Moonbattery-induced civilizational decline has reached such an extreme that when a sexually warped man bullies his way into the ladies’ restroom, instead of being left black and blue as in any other time, he is likely to be showered with cash.

The obsequiously LGBT-compliant Daily Mail reports:

A non-binary actor has filed a lawsuit against a popular New York City hotel after a security guard allegedly accosted [him], before questioning [his] presence and ‘forcibly removing’ [him] from a women’s restroom.

Given the venue, a jury is likely to award him $millions.

Wesley Han, 30, filed the complaint against the SoHo Grand Hotel on Wednesday, alleging that the establishment was discriminatory, violated [his] civil rights and acted negligently, according to the suit.

The term “civil rights” now means the license of those favored by the liberal establishment to disrespect the rest of us.

‘Wesley was treated as though [he] were dangerous, predatory, or sexually deviant simply for using the restroom that corresponded with [his] gender expression and presentation that evening,’ the lawsuit said.

If this creepazoid is not sexually deviant, guess who is? That’s right: normal people.

Already Mamdani Proclaims “Budget Crisis of a Historic Magnitude”

That didn’t take long. Socialist New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani took office at the beginning of the year after running on a platform of freebies for moochers. He didn’t even make to May Day without declaring “a budget crisis of a historic magnitude.”

Predictably, Mamdani says his predecessors are to blame and wants the rest of the state to bail out NYC. Here he is with City Council Speaker Julie Menin:

The previous mayor responds to Mamdani’s backward buck-passing — via WNBC:

[Eric] Adams slammed Mamdani’s socialist views in his response, saying, “Free is a lie.” The former mayor also said earlier this year that he left the city with $8 billion in reserves.

Meanwhile, Mamdani wastes $millions studying “racial inequity” in preparation to impose reparations.

If Democrats take control in Washington, it won’t be Albany that finances Mamdani’s perpetual looting spree. It will be the whole country, paid for through higher taxes and inflation.

NYC Bureauweenies Outsource Reparations Moonbattery

The Marxist bureauweenies presiding over the decline and fall of New York City are so useless that they have to outsource their own moonbattery.

The New York Post reports:

A city commission that costs taxpayers $5 million a year solely to study racial inequity has contracted out one of its main jobs — researching potential slavery reparations.

The Commission on Racial Equity — which consists of 15 members aided by at least a half-dozen paid staffers — last week issued a solicitation to find a vendor to create a report for it on “how wealth for the White population, key businesses, and NYC government grew as a result of enslaved African labor.”

Slavery was completely abolished in New York State 199 years ago.

A previous cost estimate put such a report at $1.5 million.

The money is meant to purchase pretexts to justify the redistribution of other people’s money on a racial basis. Liberals call this “anti-racism.”

It isn’t just NYC:

The state shelled out $5 million last year for a similar commission to look at reparations across New York.

That waste is nothing compared to the looting that will occur when liberals push reparations through.

Historic NYC Church Goes Up in Flames

A historic church has been destroyed in Queens. The New York Post reports:

The blaze started at [an unoccupied rectory] attached to the First Reformed Church of Astoria on 12th Street, between 27th Avenue and Main Avenue, around 6:45 p.m. [yesterday evening], according to the FDNY.

Roughly 270 firefighters and EMS workers responded to the scene as the flames spread to the church and grew into a 5-alarm fire, fire officials added.

Whether this was arson has not been confirmed. Yet it already seems symbolic, considering that the burning of historic churches has been a prominent feature of the Islamization of Europe, and that the former home of the World Trade Center now has an aggressively Muslim mayor.

It takes centuries to build a culture. But it doesn’t take long to destroy one.

Video Depicts DEI Applied to Law Enforcement

Maybe DEI can produce full employment in New York. Physical qualifications having been rejected, three NYPD officers are now required for even a failed attempt to arrest one of the savages running amok in the subway system. Presenting the Tremont Avenue station in the Bronx:

As Samantha Chang observes at the Western Journal,

The viral clip spotlights several disturbing themes underscoring the disastrous impact of left-wing social re-engineering agendas.

First, criminals no longer fear or respect law enforcement, which means there’s no deterrent to crime.

Second, many New York City officers are physically unfit to do their jobs. …

This is especially true of female cops, who’ve been hired en masse due to the Democrats’ DEI fetish, which has slashed standards amid leftist complaints that the fitness tests prevented women from being hired.

Liberals tried defunding the police, but public opinion forced them to retreat. Reducing the police to a laughingstock through DEI might achieve the same objective.
