Socialism is based on coercion, capitalism on enlightened self-interest. The main lesson learned from the Cold War is that a socialist system cannot compete with a capitalist system. However, in a mixed economy, coercion can provide government-run businesses with advantages over the private sector. COVID-19 has enabled an orgy of coercion. This makes it hard for privately owned gyms to compete with gyms owned by the city of San Francisco:

For months, the city of San Francisco health order has prevented local gyms from opening its doors, but some city-owned gyms have been back open for months and are allowing city employees to use them, crushing private gym owners.

Per a decree from Mayor London Breed, private gyms are forbidden from opening at least through the end of September. However, police officers, judges, lawyers, bailiffs, and paralegals can work out in municipal gyms. These gyms are special, making them as safe from coronavirus as the maskless Nancy Pelosi while getting her hair done.

Daniele Rabkin, who has struggled desperately to keep her gym Crossfit Golden Gate alive through the increasingly absurd lockdowns, cannot believe the arrogance:

“Even though they’re getting exposed, there are no repercussions, no ramifications? It’s shocking,” she said.

Shocking maybe, but not surprising. Single-party rule means extreme arrogance on the part of the rulers. Chicago is one example, California another. If Democrats manage to impose single-party rule nationwide by jiggering the system (enabling industrial scale voter fraud, abolishing the Electoral College, making DC and Puerto Rico into states, etc) and by flooding the country with unassimilable numbers of needy immigrants, the USA as a whole will be a third.

Earlier we mentioned some of the causes of the epidemic of severe mental health issues among children:

Destroy pride in our heritage, deny the sense of meaning provided by religion, tell kids they are inherently bad or inherently helpless because of their race, mess up their minds by encouraging them to believe they are members of the opposite sex, shriek that the planet is dying because of humans, cancel their economic future beneath mountains of government debt, submerse them in the nihilistic sewage that passes for popular culture, then lock them in their rooms with social media for a couple of years. When they emerge into the outer world blinking like moles in the sunlight, don’t expect mental health.

Compounding the problem is that when kids seek treatment for mental health issues largely caused or exacerbated by moonbattery, they are often treated by mental health professionals who are themselves moonbats, and who may even be insane:

Diane Ehrensaft, a self-identified “feminist” who supports a “gender revolution,” is the director of mental health and chief psychologist at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital gender development center. She is also a professor at UCSF School of Medicine. The developmental and clinical psychologist specializes in pediatric “gender-affirmative care for transgender and gender-expansive patients.”

Ehrensaft focuses her research on how genders before puberty develop as well as the mental health effects of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, which are part of chemical sex changes, on children.

It can be assumed that from her viewpoint, the mental health effects will be beneficial, provided they drive children into psychosis that will put them on track for horrific sex change surgeries.

Ehrensaft made what some may consider fringe claims about gender ideology, including that kids can identify as “gender hybrids” which include a mythology-inspired creature called a “gender Minotaur,” and that kids can change their genders by season and can have different identities depending on their location.

She didn’t get to her position without being at the vanguard of gender ideology.

“I totally agree we are in the midst of a gender revolution and the children are leading it. And it’s a wonderful thing to see. And it’s also humbling to know [children] know more than we do about this topic of being gender expansive,” she said during a 2018 talk at the San Francisco Public Library.

Or rather, children are being led into leading it — by aging hippies:

Ehrensaft believes the transgender revolution is the next phase of the 60s feminist movement, which featured challenging stereotypes about gender.

Ehrensaft is not a mental health professional so much as a leftist social engineer. This is typical of all professions that have been infiltrated, subverted, and repurposed by moonbats.

Instead of displaying mastery of the forty-eleven gender identities, to achieve their credentials mental health professionals should have to pass a review by normal people to determine whether they are sane enough to offer guidance to others.

On Thursday, Newsom signed into law a bill that makes California a sanctuary state for inflicting horrific sex change procedures on children:

Senate Bill 107, introduced by left-wing state Sen. Scott Wiener (D), offers a wide range of legal protections for transgender youths and their parents who come to California seeking hormone prescriptions or sex-reassignment surgeries that have been made illegal in other states.

The hormone prescriptions alone sterilize children, teratismatize them, and ruin their lives. The surgeries would have sent Josef Mengele running for the nearest toilet, hand clamped over his mouth, vomit spraying from between his fingers.

The new law instructs California courts and attorneys to refuse to comply with out-of-state subpoenas, warrants, and child custody orders issued for individual minors or families seeking sex-change surgeries or cross-sex hormones.

Fiends like Newsom are so keen to sexually mutilate children that they are willing to abet lawbreakers, just as Democrats have done to promote illegal immigration.

The legislation also “prohibits the arrest or recognition of any demand for extradition of an individual that criminalizes allowing a person to receive or provide gender-affirming health care where that conduct would not be unlawful under California’s law,” according to Wiener’s press office. An out-of-state criminal arrest warrant for someone who violated another state’s laws against providing gender transition services to children will be given “the lowest priority for law enforcement in California.”

Alien though it may be, California is still part of the USA…

Federal laws that require states to recognize out-of-state laws when residents travel could make the sanctuary law unconstitutional.

Butler appears to be a liberal. Not only does he dress in women’s clothes and perform homosexual acts, he went and got his mom to help him clean up the murder scene.

The real victim of the story is the oppressed transsexual, who was insensitively incarcerated with other men in flagrant disregard for his special identity, evoking squeals of outrage.
