The farms will be purchased voluntarily if farm owners go along. Otherwise, it will be coercive.

The cost: $25 billion. No worries; taxpayers have plenty of money. When they run out, Big Government can print more.

“There is no better offer coming,” Dutch Nitrogen Minister Christianne van der Wal told members of parliament last week.

Nitrogen is such a menace according to global warming doctrine that Holland has a Nitrogen Minister. The air we breathe is 78% nitrogen. But then, plants require CO2 to grow, and leftists regard that as poisonous too.

The plan comes as the Dutch government moves to halve its nitrogen emissions by 2030 in accordance with European Union conservation rules. But to meet that target, the government estimates that 11,200 farms will have to close, and 17,600 others will have to reduce their livestock numbers significantly.

This will reduce the global food supply. But it’s okay if people starve, because they are a cancer on the planet. According to leftist ideology, they could theoretically cause temperatures to rise by a degree or two over the next century, which might conceivably be noticed by dangerously flourishing polar bears.

Moonbat ideology is not easy to take seriously, but its potential effects are no joke. If the globalist climate agenda is not stopped, many will die horribly as food and energy supplies are choked off.

This will have no beneficial impact on the supposedly problematic weather. But it will allow what the Biden Regime calls the Liberal World Order to secure a tighter grip on power. Our ruling class learned from Stalin that hunger makes an effective weapon.

The want us to eat bugs because meat is also bad.

And, if our furry friends formed a separate country, it would rank 5th in global meat consumption behind China, the US, Brazil and Russia, according to UCLA professor and author of that study Gregory Okin.

Having a pet in the family is associated with lower stress, fewer heart attacks, lower rates of depression and increased self-esteem.

You can mitigate the climate crime of pet ownership by withholding meat, making them eat insect-based pet foods, buying recyclable toys and leashes, forsaking effective clay cat litter for inferior products made out of old newspapers, flushing pet poop down the toilet, not buying anything for your pet that isn’t necessary so as not to indulge in environmentally offensive consumerism, and trading in your large dog for smaller model. But in the end, the existence of higher animals is never going to fit into the liberal agenda.

“Small rodents and birds are great options,” Okin said. “Snakes, turtles and reptiles can have a really low impact, too, for those that are into it.”

Even if you are able to love rodents and reptiles, they won’t love you back. But the climate will love you — or at least, it won’t hate you as much.

[W]hile 86% of leaders agreed it should be a top priority for the sector, only 22% felt it actually was. …

[I]n 2021, just 4.8% of environment professionals had an ethnic minority heritage, compared with 12.6% of the workforce overall, according to official figures. Only farming had lower ethnic minority representation.

Only countries populated by whites or Asians are economically successful enough to indulge in environmentalism rather than focus on staving off starvation. Asians don’t seem that interested, and whites are politically unclean.

The current solution to this conundrum is to displace the population of white countries. But as the USA and UK come to resemble Venezuela and Jamaica, they will develop more pressing problems than the imaginary climate crisis.

The LGBT example suggests a more sensible solution. If men can identify as women and vice versa, why can’t the moonbats of the environmental movement identify as members of preferred races? The strategy works for Rachel Dolezal, who has launched a new career as a transracial lingerie model.

Some in the LGBT community identify as nonbinary, meaning that they are neither one sex nor the other. Likewise, environmentalists could identify as nonracial. That way, they could leap ahead to the day when miscegenation blends all races into one. The privately held company’s stock will now be owned by a climate-focused trust and group of nonprofit organizations, called the Patagonia Purpose Trust and the Holdfast Collective respectively, the company said in a statement, noting “every dollar that is not reinvested back into Patagonia will be distributed as dividends to protect the planet.”

Bankruptcy should follow shortly. The impact on supposedly problematic world temperature will be zero. But it’s the self-righteous gesture that counts.
