Economic shutdowns in reaction to COVID-19 only reduced harmless carbon emissions by 8%. Moonbats want them down by 100%.

The solution, says Gates, is to “get rid of emissions from all the different sectors.” Then, for the first time in the planet’s history, the climate will stop fluctuating.

“This crosses many areas,” Gates continued. “How we make electricity, how we make industrial products, grow food, cool our buildings, and all of transportation.”

Every aspect of society must be reengineered from above to perfect the weather. The level of authoritarianism required to impose this would impress Joseph Stalin. As for the cost,

Republicans are defending eight vulnerable seats, Democrats only one. The narrow 53-47 Republican majority is liable to flip.

The filibuster has always exerted a moderating influence. Not for much longer. Democrats have announced they will do away with it.

Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer has thrown in his lot with the radical left to stave off a primary challenge from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Schumer…

…said he’s moved left with the times and thus can’t take anything “off the table” in the majority. …

Schumer said this includes addressing “income and wealth inequality, climate [change], racial justice, [and] health care” and “improving our democracy.”

If that agenda is imposed, America will no longer be wealthy and free. It will be Venezuela.

Addressing “income and wealth inequality” means weaponizing envy to inflict Marxism. Note that Democrats no longer talk about lifting up the poor, but of economic leveling. They want to impose a ceiling above the lowest common denominator, as in communist countries.

Addressing “climate” means inflicting the demented and authoritarian Green New Deal under the pretense that it would have a measurable effect on the weather. Radically reducing our standard of living would not be a side effect; it would be the main point.

Addressing “racial justice” means further exploiting the divide-and-conquer racial strategy that has major cities up in flames. Preferred minority groups will receive ever greater favoritism at the expense of the core population, ensuring racial discord.

Addressing “health care” means socialized medicine. Sure it’s “free” (unless you pay taxes), but you will have to wait months for substandard care.

“Improving our democracy” may be the most ominous agenda item of all. This entails ensuring permanent Democrat power, in part by dismantling the Constitution. Plans openly floated by Democrats including packing the Supreme Court with enough leftists to guarantee the outcome of every ruling; abolishing the Electoral College so that urban population centers always pick the President; making Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia into states, providing four extra Senate seats for Democrats; and facilitating voter fraud by expanding vote by mail and ballot harvesting.

Other consequences of Democrats taking the Senate are likely to include pandering to unions by abolishing right to work laws, secret union elections, and freelance employment.

The only restraint would be public opinion, but Democrats (unlike Republicans) would have a cheerleading press corps behind them.

As the absurd coverage of the Black Lives Matter riots has demonstrated, there is no restraint on the left-wing activism of the liberal media establishment. Big Journalism has already cashed in its credibility; it will go to any length to push the country as far as it possibly can to the left.

Within a few months, the Black Lives Matter mob could be in effect running the federal government. The near future may present a choice between the sort of tyranny normally seen only in Third World countries on one hand, civil war on the other.

A committee in the state Senate recently passed a bill designated AB 2218, which would establish a Transgender Wellness and Equity Fund to finance medical interventions for trans-identifying individuals. Such interventions could include puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones (testosterone for females, estrogen for males), and mutilating surgeries such as mastectomies and castrations.

Such “interventions” prevent normal development and are likely to result in sterilization.

The bill states repeatedly that the resources will be used for trans-identifying “people” or “individuals” – nowhere limited to individuals 18 years of age or over. In fact, the “findings” section of the bill gives statistics about the number of “youth 12 to 17” who are viewed as gender-nonconforming.

Clearly, the bill is intended to apply to children. Yet even at this point in our cultural decline, sterilizing children can evoke a negative reaction. Therefore,

Bill sponsor Assemblyman Miguel Santiago testified at the Senate hearing that “nothing [in the bill] talks about sterilizing kids. Nothing, I will repeat, in this bill points to anything to do with children.” Senator Susan Rubio chimed in that she had read the bill “very, very carefully” but “didn’t find anything about sterilizing children.”

That it does not specifically say “sterilize children” in the bill does not mean it won’t result in sterilized children. It probably doesn’t say “impose economic collapse” or “radically reduce our standard of living” anywhere in the Green New Deal. Progressives can never be forthright about the predictable consequences of their measures, or the frog would hop out of the pot before it comes to a boil.

For the privilege of driving inferior vehicles, Americans will pay through the nose:

The five-year cost to own an average electric vehicle is more than $92,000, according to the North American Auto Dealers Association.

Compare that to a typical gas-powered vehicle, which over the same period costs $76,500.

That is among the many good reasons people do not want EVs.

In December, Ford announced it was cutting planned production of its F-150 Lightning pickup in half due to “changing market demand.”

Ford loses $60,000 for every electric moonbatmobile sold.

The end goal of imposing inferior and unaffordable EVs is to deprive us of cars altogether.

If he didn’t play by the rules, he wouldn’t have been published. Publish or perish.

The first thing the astute climate researcher knows is that his or her work should support the mainstream narrative—namely, that the effects of climate change are both pervasive and catastrophic and that the primary way to deal with them is not by employing practical adaptation measures like stronger, more resilient infrastructure, better zoning and building codes, more air conditioning—or in the case of wildfires, better forest management or undergrounding power lines—but through policies like the Inflation Reduction Act, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The green energy looting spree with the Orwellian title the Inflation Reduction Act is about as likely to prevent wildfires as it is to reduce inflation. But science isn’t about science anymore. Like every other institution that has fallen to leftists, it is about moonbattery.

Brown is willing to speak out because he has left academia and now he works for a private research center, where the pursuit of scientific understanding is not subordinated to leftist politics. No one who wants a career in academia can tell the truth about global warming.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden croaks:

“Nobody can deny the impact of climate crises—at least nobody intelligent can deny the impact of the climate crisis anymore.”

In other words, if you won’t pretend there is a “climate crisis,” you are a dummy.

Macron has suggested the imposition of a global taxation system in order to subsidise the green agenda to mitigate climate change.

Imagine if a demented theocrat demanded a global tax to finance a golden staircase to heaven for Jesus to descend. Macron’s proposal for preventing the climate from fluctuating is the equivalent in the liberal religion.

Speaking at the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact in Paris on Friday, Mr Macron argued that actions from individual governments would be insufficient to deal with the alleged armageddon set to descend upon the world and therefore a new international taxation framework should be established.

No individual government could be massive enough to satisfy the ambitions of globalists like Macron. In exploiting their imaginary climate crisis, they follow the example of Stone Age witch doctors who demanded sacrifices to propitiate weather gods.

“I’m in favour of an international taxation to finance efforts that we have to make to fight poverty and in terms of climate [action],” the French president said in comments reported by POLITICO.

The reference to fighting poverty indicates that at usual envirofascism will be served with a side order of international wealth transfer.

Macron suggested that the Paris-based Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) could be tapped for a negotiation process in the hopes of creating a global climate tax system for multinational corporations.

Fortunately for corporations, they don’t have to pay taxes; they pass this expense along to consumers.

Why not just put Macron personally in charge of what happens to the wealth we create? After all, he is former Rothschild banker. Surely he can handle our money better than we can.

Speaking of money, France is running out of it under Macron’s rule. He calls it the “end of abundance.” But there will be plenty of money again, at least for a little while, once he takes the looting spree global.

That means roughly half the gas stove models purchased across the U.S. today will no longer be eligible for purchase in stores.

“This is a big part of the climate agenda … this effort to stop the use of natural gas.”

Natural gas burns cleanly. It is plentiful, cheap, reliable, and domestically produced. Democrats have openly stated their intention to abolish it along with the rest of the fossil fuels that comprise the lifeblood of any modern economy.

Not everything Democrats do can be attributed to their trademark insanity and malice. They have another distinguishing characteristic — namely, corruption:

The founders of Rewiring America, an environmental advocacy dark money group behind the push to regulate and ban natural gas-powered stoves, have a significant financial stake in the green energy push.

Alex Laskey, Saul Griffith and Ari Matusiak – who together founded Rewiring America in 2020 – have all pursued various wind, solar, electrification and energy efficiency ventures, some of which have netted them millions of dollars in buyouts or received significant federal funding. The three co-founders have simultaneously advocated for policies benefiting those ventures through the nonprofit.

Barack Obama pioneered the use of green energy moonbattery to launder $billions in taxpayer funds to pay off campaign donors. As with his political weaponization of the federal bureaucracy, the practice continues under his idiot understudy Joe Biden.

“It’s a shocking amount of money that they’re hauling in with this scheme of theirs,” Tom Pyle, the president of the Institute for Energy Research, told Fox News Digital in an interview. “I call it Big Green Inc. It is literally a business for these guys and they cloak themselves in the mantra of trying to save the planet. But, really, this is just very sophisticated self-dealing.”

Not even Democrats are delusional enough to think the planet will know the difference if they ban our stoves.

Although Rewiring America has an increasingly more prominent role guiding policies at the state and federal level – it notably had a presence at a Dec. 14 electrification summit and at an event celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act, both at the White House – the group’s donors are shielded from public view. The group doesn’t file federal tax forms since it is sponsored by the Windward Fund, a nonprofit that is part of the billion-dollar dark money network managed by the Washington, D.C.-based Arabella Advisors.

When we allowed the federal government to become so bloated and intrusive that it presumes to tell us what kind of stoves we can use, we made it inevitable that tyranny would be leveraged for corrupt selfish interests.
